Menu July 2016

I wish I could have eaten more here. This was one of my favorite meals during my trip because the food was absolutely as delectable as it looked on pictures and the service was attentive and friendly. They do speak English here and they handed us an English menu to mark off what we wanted. I decided to try the Pigs Ear with Jew Mushroom in Teriyaki Sauce and the Pulpa, as well as a croquette. The croquette was dainty yet substantial. The insides were creamy and the smell of ham was permeating the entire filling. The octopus (pulpa) was perfect. Really. They were not overdone and they surprisingly went well with the potato. A simple mix of black pepper and olive oil was just great for this dish. The pig ear was unlike any pig ear I've had before, simply because I am so used to the Chinese method of slicing it paper thin and marinating it. This was warm, chewy, chunky and it was like eating chewy yet crunchy fried pig skin with a nice warm gooey fat layer inside with a light tendon here and there. Whoa. The Jew mushroom was flavorful and I know they soak up flavor, but their "teriyaki" sauce was perfect and light. By the way, this is not the teriyaki sauce I'm used to-- the lowly overly saccharine and thick glaze we are accustomed to in the States. No. This was saucy, thin and just about as un-teriyaki as it gets. Still trying to figure out what the ingredients were from my tastebud memories. I also had a big bowl, I mean cup, no I meant goblet of sangria. That was fun, tasty and flavorful. Would definitely find myself coming back but then there are so many other options to choose! But you will not go wrong here if you're around the area!

Food - 5 Service - 5 Value - 5 Great spot that is also open early for people who are used to eating dinner earlier than 8 PM. We enjoyed all the dishes we got -- chicken croquettes, veal, octopus, eggs chirizo and potato and then iberico ham and tomato bread. All were quite tasty and just the right size for sharing between my wife and I. The ham was the best we have had so far and wasnt salty at all compared to the other places we have had it. Our favorite dish of the night was the octopus though -- so tender and paired nicely with the potatoes and sauce it came with (even though you wouldnt think so by just reading the menu description). We also ordered some sangria and a mojito and both were refreshing after a long day of walking.

Highly recommended restaurant in Barcelona! Everything is tapas style here and it was a great way to try multiple different dishes. The staff was super friendly (one even tried really hard to find us a cab afterwards) and were speedy with the food, more napkins, and plates. The menu was easy to read and you simply checked off everything you wanted! Check in on Yelp and you get a free little beer as well!! Some of the tapas we tried were the tuna tar tar with an avocado nut sauce, cheese plate, sausage, a white fish, and a creamy dessert. One dish was better than the next. So so good! Can't forget about the great wine and beer also. Certainly left extremely satisfied after this meal!

Really loved this little place! The tapas were great and the cocktail/wine/beer selection was extensive. We came early--right when they opened on a Thursday--because we were staving on arrival in Barcelona. Probably wasn't the normal lively atmosphere they get in the evenings, but the music was great and it made for a mellow afternoon lunch. I had a 1906, which is a Spanish beer they have on draft. It was yummy and light, but stronger than a normal lager--probably a lighter amber (ask for a taste). We also had the Bravas=spicy potatoes (potato wedges with spicy sauce and aioli), Tuna Tataki, South Style Calamari=American type fried calamari, and a Mykonos Pizza (toasted thin loaf with onions, tomato, feta and olives). I liked the potatoes and calamari the best, but they were all pretty great. Overall, we just really enjoyed the vibe and good food. The waitress was also helpful and friendly, even making suggestions for the nightlife in the area.

As a world traveler, this is exactly the kind of place I always look for when I visit a new place with great culinary culture. This is a low key neighborhood tapas place located off from touristic areas of Barcelona. I sample more than 7 dishes, and all of them are world class! The pig ear dish for example really demonstrates the creativity and worldliness of the chef. Think about it, it really does not take much to cook a Boston lobster well, but to make pig ear this well, this shows finesse and sophistication. Go there, and you will not be disappointed... our meal consisted 7 tapas and 2 large beers, and costed less than 60 euros. If similar quality of food were served in a tapas place in New York City, it will cost at least twice as much.

Definitely a great meal! We ordered a bunch of tapas and everything was delicious. They have great beers, indoor, outdoor, with and without tv areas to dine. Definitely a good decision!

We had about 50 hours in Barcelona and ended up eating here twice. Staff speaks perfect english. The food is diverse, something for everyone. It's also delicious! The drinks are truly crafted and fantastic. Lots of selection for drinks as well, largest beer menu we saw in all of Spain. Try the papas, Iberian Ham, croquettes and Puerto de Indias gin with hibiscus tonic!

Pork ribs easy and delicious.

Suburban small restaurant with warm service. We had a very nice late lunch with local tapases. It is a little out of the city but worth the effort!

Great place to grab lunch after touring the Montjuic area. Food was 4 stars but service was 5 stars. We enjoyed the meal a lot. They have tapas and also set meal that comes with a first plate, second plate, bread and a drink. We liked the beer that was made for this place. My glass of red wine was just ok. I had the fish dish and enjoyed it a lot. The sausage dish my partner had was mediocre. I ordered the leek in peanut butter tapas, not sure if I liked it. It was cooked very soft, something I'm not very use to. The server and the cook were very pleasant and nice

Stop searching. Go here. The food was fantastic. The service was incredible. Cafe on point. Croquettes were phenomenal as was the Mikonos pizza.

All these plus our 4 beer for 31€...can't beat that!

Great selections of beer to pair with their amazing tapas. They started to play great American/British Classics as soon as we sat down. The place looks super fun and their prices were super reasonable...it's a must

I enjoy California craft beer and the IPA from this place was on point. Check it out if you are in the area.

Service was exceptionally nice, but the food left a lot to be desired in a city where you can get amazing tapas most anywhere.
