On Dec. 7th my husband dropped his work vehicle off to SCT Pit Stop in Forsyth, GA to have repairs to his front passenger wheel. SCT kept the vehicle over night and called the next day for pick up. My husband drove it home that night and drove to work the next day. During his commute, that has roads with speed limits up to 65 mph, he felt an abnormal swaying of the vehicle. He then tried to stop the vehicle and found the brakes had failed. There were three men in the car at this time going over 55 coming into a round about with a speed limit of 35 and school traffic.... WITH NO BRAKES TO STOP!! Before reaching the intersection the front passenger side tire came off and went under the vehicle, stopping it. My husband inspected the vehicle and found that SCT Pit Stop did not place the spindle axle back on the wheel. The tire was only holding on by a bearing. My husband then called SCT and the mechanic stated he was very sorry. The mechanic also asked my husband was he going to get it to the shop.. My husband and his work crew sat on side of the road for 6 hours going through 3 different tow truck companies.. The receptionist from SCT called and asked my husband when the car was going to come in. He explained he was having a hard time finding a wrecker in the area. She then said they had tow trucks that could have picked it up and he reminded her that no one offered that. He finally made it to SCT around 1pm- 2pm, he was respectful to the workers and did not cause a scene infront of other customers and did not speak about the incident to anyone else. The mechanic apologized and the receptionist offered her sincerity. My husband explained that he had two workers that rode with him and another one that he would have to still pay for their labor. It was not their fault they showed up to work and could not because of the events from the day. My husband also lost out on wages for the day and the next few days of going back and forth. The receptionist assured my husband that all of that would be taken care of. The mechanic mentioned that if they could not get the car back into running condition they would buy the car. It was also mentioned that the ori ginal $400 some odd dollars my husband paid on Dec 7th would be refunded... being that the SPINDLE AXLE WAS NOT PLACED BACK ONTO THE WHEEL! My husband left the car for repairs to give them the chance to fix their mistake. The shop called that day to explain all of the parts they were placing onto the car to repair damages. On Thursday they called my husband to pick the car up. He went to pick it up a little after lunch. He then asked the same receptionist about the reimbursement of the original $400 something, his pay he lost, and the labor he had to pay out of pocket for his crew of three others that missed a day of work because of this and had to all find a way home, nearly 50 miles away. She then told my husband he would have to take that up with the owner Jason St. Peter. She gave my husband his cell phone number. My husband then tried to call Jason St. Peter and left a voicemail. He took the car and left the premises. Upon leaving he noticed there was still noises and abnormalities that was not there before this incident. He turned around and took the vehicle back to SCT. They kept the vehicle until Monday 12/14/20. This has been a complete and absolute head ache through it all. Here we are at Christmas trying to piece everything together without a work vehicle for almost a week. My husband attempted to call the owner several times with no answer or call back. Today 12/16/20, the owner finally answered. The owner told my husband that he feels like he owes him NOTHING!

I took the vehicle to an authorized GM dealer where they discovered low coolant and oil levels. The issue was corrected, but in less than a month the levels were back down. The deal determined that there must be a coolant leak and that GM would need to authorize repairs, but before doing this they requested a coolant consumption test. After conducting the test we discovered that the vehicle had a complete engine rebuild at roughly 4-5K miles and was poorly repaired resulting in coolant leaking into the oil. Additionally, parts were missing - a flywheel cover and heat shield. Basically the car was a lemon, sold at full price by Hutchinson Ford (there's also a Hutchinson GMC). This has to be the most shady dealership ever. I'm now working directly with GM and a legal team to figure out what action can be taken to get the vehicle repaired. Ultimately, GM never should have put the car back on the road without proper inspection and Hutchinson Ford's own mechanics should be fired for missing basic stuff in their own Blue Certified inspection (which ain't crap).
