I have several items I have financed on my bill of sale with no supporting paperwork. I have left messages and emailed several finance managers, with no response. I was trying to do the right thing before surgery. But they already got their money...so I have heard nothing back, nor do I expect to at this point. To make a long story short, Tires Plus, on 132nd and Maple told me this Ford Escape of my daughter's which I had just spent a bunch of $$ at Tires Plus to put a new AC compressor in and recharge a few weeks ago now needed more work. But, when we tried the AC on warm days and even the day after leaving the place the first time after the repair it was not throwing any cold or even cool air out. When I took it back in, assuming it was under warranty from 3 weeks before, they said it now needed a new evaporator coil. The cost? $1600. I took the car back and took it to Kurt at Acme. He and his mechanics checked out the whole AC system to find out it was only a fuse and now the AC is working great and Acme did that at minimal cost. I will keep bringing my cars to Acme. This hero answered my phone call, while out running errands and said he'd swing on by. He not only very quickly and inexpensively dismantled it in a hotel parking lot he made it so we were able to drive the 6+ hours home without a worry. To come to the point - I went to Gateway on the opposite end of town from me, to look at another vehicle that ended up not being a good match for me, but, next to it was a Honda Pilot, little older, with some miles. Vehicle had some moderate work done yet, Ben offered this information without my even asking. Try getting THAT somewhere else!!! Perfect vehicle for my needs. Love it! Now it's time to talk money and I meet Ben, the co-owner and main sales force. The vehicle seemed to need a couple minor things to help make me comfortable with the purchase, and these were done, WITH a LOANER car, thanks to Ben. Dave at the front counter is Ben's right hand man, and very capable. Every employee I bumped into or interacted with at Gateway was at minimum professional, and as I understand it they are all ASE certified! Between them all, the agreed minor repairs were completed, my full smile installed, deal struck. A good deal. In closing, now many hundreds of miles later, my vehicle is running and behaving perfectly. I bought this at a fair price and Dave and Ben did what they said they would do, and did so respectfully and promptly. They handed me information NO used car seller would ever do, and kept their promises. I would not recommend anyone buy a used vehicle before looking at what Gateway has to offer. In my opinion, they are using inferior quality brake rotors and hoping they last long enough to get…read morepast the warranty period. Here's why: Got front brake pads and rotors installed. A few months later, I had a pretty bad vibration in the front end. They diagnosed it as a warped rotor, turned both front rotors and everything was fine. A few more months later, the vibration came back. They diagnosed it again as a warped rotor and replaced both front rotors this time because they could not be turned again. Another month went by and guess what, the vibration was back. This time they said the rotors "looked fine" and it was a loose tie rod end. They replaced the tire rod end and did an alignment. As I was paying for it, the mechanic brought out my keys and said there was still vibration, but I needed to buy higher quality rotors, maybe titanium. So at least one of the rotors that "looked fine" was still warped. They chose the rotors that were installed. I was not asked, nor given an option for higher quality. This is a midsize SUV, not a high-performance vehicle that would need titanium rotors. So now I still have a warped rotor and I'm gonna have to pay somebody else to do a brake job with quality parts. Never going back.

My vehicle had only six miles on it when I took it home, yet no one installed the required front license plate bracket--even though the state mandates a front plate. The salesperson was friendly enough, but mostly unnecessary since I already knew exactly what I wanted. Before filling my tank or giving the required full charge, he asked me to complete a review for him. I never received a full charge from them (I purchased a Jeep Wrangler 4xe)--not at purchase and not since. The biggest issues came from the finance department. I was given misleading information that increased my purchase price significantly. When I confronted him about the numbers, the price was quietly adjusted--but he took my tax break for himselves without informing me or asking for permission. That alone was beyond unacceptable. The only reason I've returned at all is because the purchase included a couple of free oil changes. I'm here today for a SCHEDULED oil change and was just told it will take an hour and fifteen minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. This dealership has been nothing but a headache. Between the dishonesty, the lack of communication, and the consistently poor service, I HIGHLY recommend that no one comes here. They are a complete joke, and I regret doing business with them.
