After having poor experiences with some of their competitors, I've been very pleased with their professionalism and attention to detail while still offering competitive prices. I appreciate their work order reports and the very detailed pictures that they include. I also wanted to call out two of their employees, specifically -- Nahum and Miguel. This year, due to all of the snow, our pool cover caved in and the pool cover pump accidentally pumped out most of the pool water before we discovered it. That, coupled with lots of leaves in the pool, made for a much more difficult opening this year. Nevertheless, Nahum and Miguel went the extra mile to get the pool to open very clean and clear. They spent extra time but did so with a very positive, helpful attitude that I appreciated. I would highly recommend them.

We appreciate that gesture and their willingness to address some of our concerns. While our original experience and the delays remain unchanged, it is only fair to acknowledge their effort to make things better. After more than six weeks, our pool liner project is still not complete because Millennium Pools has measured the liner incorrectly multiple times. We are now waiting for a third liner and hoping it finally fits. To make matters worse, the company removed our old liner and left our pool empty and without a liner for two weeks while we wait for the replacement. What should have been a routine liner installation has turned into a lengthy and frustrating process. The company has offered no discount or compensation for the delays, inconvenience, or loss of use of our pool, despite the fact that the mistakes were entirely their own. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company and expected better service, communication, and accountability. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Millennium Pools.

Getting service this year has been a nightmare. I replaced the entire mechanism for ~$1200 last year. This year (in March 2026), it detached from the hot tub, rendering it unusable in the prime spring weather. - I spent the last 10 weeks trying to get someone to come out to repair it (offered to pay full price) but no reponse. - Initially spoke to someone in the service center, who told me I needed a "bracket", and that it was on backorder. - A month later (in April), I reached back out to service center to check on status. I was told the original person I spoke to was no longer with the company, and the part wasn't the issue. - I asked to speak with a manager; was told to speak to Jeff. - Left multiple messages with Jeff, but he never got back to me. -Filled out the "service form", also no response. After 10 weeks, I got fed up waiting and went the DIY route. Located YouTube instructions on how to remove the panel. Once I did that, I saw the plywood they used to re-install cover lifter last year (which bears ~150 lbs of load btw) was only 1/8" thick, which would explain why the mechanism failed. I installed a 1" board, then remounted the screws on the lifting arm and closed up the panel. Fingers crossed, this will do the trick. As mentioned, the tub works mostly as advertised; Hot Springs equipment is great. However Capital Hot Tub doesn't seem to care about customers once they've made their purchase. The whole point of paying a premium price is to avoid this kind of hassle, and not have to DIY fix your stuff on the weekend.

My pool was a disaster last year before he took over with the maintenance of it. I was in the hospital with cancer and bone marrow transplant treatment at VCU Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, VA for many months. The pool looks great and he and his technicians are always willing to go the extra mile. He cleaned the white steps into the pool so well they looked bleached, but he used the appropriate chemicals to make them look great. I am glad I hired him.

Many issues: -Concrete color is salmon, not tan, even AAA workers have said they don't think it is the color they intended -$10k in damages to asphalt driveway (that we were assured by the owner wouldn't happen because we would start our build in January when the ground is frozen) -Major grading issues that causes pool to flood any time it rains -Project abandoned by Brian in August 2021 -Firepit was thrown off to the side and not incorporated into our design -Poor Quality/Workmanship with concrete: no 90° angles, crooked lines, sharp surface, etc. -Tan fence installed with 3-4 different shades (after wrong fence color against our HOA was delivered) -Backwash line overflows/doesn't drain and is eroding our basement foundation and retaining wall -Not enough characters to continue this list. May 2022: Still waiting on project to be finished/corrected. No urgency because this is their "busy season" and have new pools to install. This is the biggest financial mistake I have ever made. Richard Shaver (owner) sat at my breakfast table and told my husband and I that he would build us a backyard oasis. He talked about God and doing good for people. Haven't heard from him since the day we signed the contract. I would love for him to photograph our project and proudly present it on his social media without using Photoshop. I also started exploring the option of contracting out each step as a cost saving measure and realized quickly having a turn key company was more desirable for me. I started to asked around and did online searching for a reputable company who specialized in fiberglass and saltwater pools and was very interested in tanning ledge. I found River Pools and Spas in late 2019. They were super attentive and scheduled time to come see me and talk about my goals. They designed my dream that included a waterfall and fire pit. I was impressed with their transparency and there informative website. Their videos and articles touch every question you could possible have and are absolutely a must to review. They will help you understand the true cost of pool installation and set realistic expectations. This is a very large purchase and you pay for what you get. Fast forward, April 2020 and my pool project was complete. This planning and scheduling started in December 2019 and couldn't of been more timely with the impact of COVID. We really enjoyed the luxury of my at home oasis. Where there set backs and challenges, yes! But weather is not predictable, shipment delays due to COVID and nor was my water table requiring some additional stone. None of this was River Pool and Spas fault and their communication was on point. Every time a challenge presented they did what I would expect a company to do, they communicated and did what was right to fix it instead of ignore you. I live on a very busy corner lot and has created a lot conversation on my experiences and recommendations and lead me to share my experience here. I highly recommend them! River Pools Roanoke - Extremely Unresponsive…read more We've been trying to reach River Pools Roanoke for over a month now about an inground pool installation and still have not heard back from anyone. We called multiple times during their business hours, left several voicemails, and sent text messages as requested, but no one has returned a single call or message. If this is how they treat potential customers at the very beginning of the process, it really makes you question how they would handle a major project or any problems after installation. This franchise comes across as completely irresponsible when it comes to basic communication and follow-through. We've decided to look elsewhere for a pool company that actually answers the phone and respects our time.

Firstly, the pool is GORGEOUS! They not only installed it well and very quickly, they made sure to spend hours cleaning it before presenting it to us. It was pristine. Secondly, they are reliable beyond belief. Each day they arrived on time to do what needed to be done. We had terrible weather during our project but as soon as it cleared up, they were right there getting the job done. This all is a rare quality among contractors! Thirdly, they are a family owned business and such nice people. I know I can trust them and enjoy talking to them bc they are professional and good. And lastly, they treated our property well. Having done this before, we knew there would be some damage that comes from gravel trucks arriving to the site, excavation, etc but all the wear and tear we experienced was normal and minimal. The guys cleaned up every bit of leftover pieces, trash, and materials. Denis and his team know pools. They charge fair prices, do great work, are earnest and care about the customer.
