If you're looking for carpet I suggest you purchase from someone else. The carpet was great but the installation was terrible. Servpro, the company Lowe's used in our area is terrible. I will never make the mistake of shopping at Lowe's again. My experience purchasing appliances 1. Delivery was time critical to satisfy our contractor's availability. We make the purchase, triple checking the delivery address with our associate. The day before delivery, the confirmation text comes, and it is an ENTIRELY different address. Correcting this issue required 2 hours on the phone and a delay of 4 business days. Screw us #1. 2. The delivery team arrives and the job declines extremely quickly. First off, the men outright lie to me when I tell them that I saw them drop the appliances while unloading them from the truck. Screw us #2. 3. After assessing the move was more effort than they wanted to put in, the delivery team informed me of their refusal to bring half of the appliances in. Screw us #3. 4. Bringing the washer and dryer in after telling me that the work is too hard, the delivery team refuses to install them citing the protective cover over the dryer duct as cause for non installment. Even after I removed it. Screw us #4. Don't waste your time with this excuse for a company. That is unless you're watering at the mouth for the $5 they give you for every thousand you spend. read more

If I could give negative reviews for warranty service I would. I was upsold the Lowes extended warranty. Now my dryer is broken. It is very difficult to reach Lowes warranty repair by telephone or email. Once you reach them, service is subcontracted to a separate company. it took a week just to get the technician out to order parts. Then another week to schedule a followup, only to get a call today that they did not receive the necessary parts and were going to need to reorder parts and hopefully will be out next week. Their carpet installation (measurement team) DOES NOT CARE WHAT TIME YOU SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT. They will change it the night before or morning of, DESPITE it NOT being convenient for the customer. WHO DOES THIS? Who rearranges an appointment the night before or morning of? No, it does Not work that way. People have to take off of work or arrange for kids to be picked up or any other number of responsibilities. When I called to complain they were literally like "Oh well, logistically it works for us, so.. " she DID mention it was their number 1 complaint. I just want to mention that there are hundreds of carpet installation companies out there... we will never use Lowes again for any of my Brokerage or agent or customer installs. I'm in full support of parents supporting their children through boy and girl scout stands selling food. Today I was making my way into the Stafford va lowes and felt accosted by a women selling miscellaneous items for the boy scout troop. I was in a hurry and simple said no thanks and kept walking the women decided to talk louder and louder as I walked away then upon entering the lowes I found myself being asked if i wanted to purchase Halloween items. This person was not a lowes employee as far as I could tell but was insistent I stop and take time out to listen to them. Lowes you can do better!!! ***This post if for their warranty department . I have had no issues with the store itself. *** Don't waist your money on the warranty and i will tell you why. We bought an extended warranty threw Home depot because we have had issues with new appliances in the past. We got the warranty for our GE dishwasher and as we expected the dish washer broke about 7 months into ownership. Here we go, this gets WILD SO READ ON. I called the warranty department and spoke with a lady about my issue, she asked the normal things (name, address, model number, serial number etc) after giving her the info she says" oh it looks like you cancelled your extended warranty, and with our my copy she can't go any further " i said " i most ABSOLUTELY did not cancel it, and i still have my warranty paperwork to prove it. (Make sure you keep your warranty paperwork) I'm sure she was hoping i didn't have it. Their shady tactic #1. Once i give her this mysterious warranty number she says "oh yes i see it now, let me transfer you to a technician hold please. Im thinking ok cool we are getting somewhere. WRONG. Shady tactic #2 this is where it gets wild After being on hold for about a minute THE SAME LADY picks up the phone and says "warranty technician how may i help you" i said "i just talked to you, you said you would put me on hold for a technician " she says " we never spoke before " i said are you kidding me, i have been talking to you for the last 10 minutes, you ARE the same person i can even hear the same background noise (people talking in the background in heavy middle Eastern accents) she said " hi this is tech support " i said " ok ill play your game eventhough we just spoke ".so i explained what's wrong with the machine " i told her its not draining water after its cycle. She had me do the old turn off the breaker and turn it back on routine. I did it and it fixed nothing. Shady tactic #3 She said ok send a picture of your warranty paperwork along with the receipt . I said you all already have it in your system, you even told me that after i gave you the warranty info... then she says "oooh thats right" i quickly said "see i told you we just spoke"!!! Bad customer service. I purchased a Gazebo at 8:30 pm on Thursday. I had to wait a whole hour before they realized that there was a mess up in there system. Apparently they did not have anymore in the store. I spoke to the manager name Ryan who apologized and assured us that he will have the Gazebo from another store delivered to are house which was suppose to be on Staurday between 1and 5. Guess what? This place always has the ac on in the Summer. 5 stars right there. The staff are always helpful too - and they admit if they dont know something and send you to a coworker who does. By comparison, the Home Depot nearby has a lot to learn about customer service. Many of the HD folks hide from you or look annoyed that you're asking a question. I went to Lowes on Sunday with a late night mini-crisis. My shower plumbing sprung a leak and I had to rebuild it before Monday. After tearing apart some drywall and seeing what I needed to do - I headed to Lowes. Russel knew a ton about the issue and helped me realize that my plan wouldn't work and then he came up with an alternate plan on the spot. I usually do not like to review big box stores, or anything that is a chain, but Lowe's deserves it. This specific Lowe's does not disappoint either. I like their staff because they have been very friendly and helpful in the dozen or so times I've been there in the last few weeks. Their selection is a little smaller than other Lowe's, but they have everything you're going to need. As always, the place is clean & orderly, and that's important. I do not feel like I'm walking into a cheap discount store when I step into Lowe's. If you are military (active or reserves) show your ID for a 10% discount on everything. It adds up. Especially when you're there as much as I am. In the last month I have bought several lawn care products, a plethora of outdoor furniture, deck stain/sealant, paint, paint supplies, treated/non-treated lumber, and hardware. I purchased a repaired John Deere riding lawn mower and received it a few days after purchase. The tractor did not start. The delivery personnel said it was a dead battery and Lowe's would replace it. I took the battery into Lowe's and replaced it. The tractor still would not start and after troubleshooting I found a poor electrical connection that needed repair. Lowe's told me that I needed to return it but if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay for it. Of note I never used it and it has been two days since I received it. The only option was to return it. The replacement option was me spending 300 dollars more for a new version of the same mower. I wished I would have sent it back too as it had scratches on the deck and missing a compartment cover. I was just fed up at this point and wanted to be done with it so I accepted it. A week later I purchased a mulching kit online from Lowe's as they didn't carry it and it had to be special ordered. I went to the store and picked it up and noticed the package was beat up and had holes in it. Putting it in my truck a nut fell out of the box. When I got home, I inventoried the parts and found a washer missing. I called the store and they told me to come in and get a washer. At this point it is 9pm and I am searching with no luck to find a single washer in their store. I found a pack of 4 that was less than two dollars but the customer service representative told me I needed a single. He asked me what I wanted to do. My only option is to return the entire system and reorder it for a 30 cent washer. This store has horrible customer service as I will have made multiple extra trips at my own cost to fix problems that were not mine to fix. I will be using Home Depot from now on. read more

I am currently experiencing the worst service and ordering experience of my life. Over a week ago my family and I went to store #1909 in Stafford, VA to order countertops and end pieces. We initially just wanted to look and decide but were advised that the pieces that were in stock could be sold and the order time varies. I had scheduled contractors to install today so we purchased the pieces and were told they would be pulled and stored in the back to ensure delivery as scheduled on 24 September. I was called by the delivery company on 23 September with a delivery window in the morning and the delivery truck was on time, however only half the order was available. My fiancé contacted the store and the manager, Tiffany, stated that the other pieces were sold and that the Regional Manager was contacted and helped to facilitate replacement pieces and that everything was fixed, with a delivery for today, 25 October. The delivery company called last night and said my window was 0800-1000. At 1000 my delivery was not here. I called the delivery company and the dispatcher stated that Lowe's had cancelled the order for delivery. At this point, I called the Stafford store, where we ordered. A different manager, Ryan, was on duty, didn't know anything about the order, pulled it up on the computer and said he would talk to his stock manager. I didn't receive a call back so I called again to query the issue. I was passed to the stock or shipping manager, Andre. Andre stated the second half of the order was on the truck. Meanwhile I am paying a contractor to sit and wait. I asked to be transferred back to Ryan. Ryan apologized and said the delivery should be here by 1300. UNACCEPTABLE when it was Lowe's screw up and I am making them money while spending money for people to sit and wait!!! I then asked for the Regional Manager's, Calvin, number. Ryan complied. I called Calvin and was told, oh the delivery will be around 1300 but "I will call the delivery manager and try to fix this." This was supposed to be a priority delivery, first thing today. Calvin said give him 15 minutes. After 20 minutes, I called him back. He stated the pieces were on the truck, the truck was on a military base and should arrive by 1100. This was at 1037. At 1150 I called Calvin (no answer) and left message. Now 1215, still nothing and no returned call. While this is going on, the contractors inspected the half order that was delivered yesterday. The end piece was not an end piece, so the order, which was scanned in front of me at the store, was WRONG! I demand some restitution as I am paying a contractor to wait on Lowes for an order of, at the time, in stock items that were to be held. And, now I am paying them to go to the store and fix the wrong parts that were shipped. AND, I still haven't heard anything from the Regional Manager, Store Manager, or delivery company as to when my delivery will be made, if at all!!!! read more

I told them it was not acceptable as they did not do their job correctly. they finally agreed to come at 3:30 today Saturday, and never showed up have been calling them and Lowes since then and cannot get the job completed. Add in our circle of friends who are very similar and the result is about a weekly trip to Lowe's. This location is always clean and well presented. It has whatever we come looking for and gives a military discount which is awesome. The staff has always been very helpful and polite. They are there to help whenever we need something. We ordered a washing machine on June 23, 2021. It was supposed to be delivered today, June 25th between 12 and 4. The contractor changed the time at the last minute to 4 to 8. My mother is an elderly widow who does not like having strangers in the house at night. We have been waiting for this machine all day, Lowe's management says they cannot contact the contractor and won't give us the number. They also can't seem to decide if the store manager is out of the office or on a phone call. The assistant manager accused my mother of yelling at her and stonewalled when it came to rescheduling the delivery. It got so bad that my mother eventually did lose her temper. We contacted corporate HQ. Their computer operator says the office is open until 5:30 EST. The phone call was made at 4:12 EST. All of a sudden there was a new message saying the office was closed. Someone came on the line, shushed my mother, then hung up. This is the latest customer service flop in a string of failings over the years that Lowe's has made in dealing with my family. I have been urging them for years to stop giving this company their money. We no longer want the washing machine from them and we want our money back. Unfortunately, it took this incident for my family to realize this place is not worth their time or money. Addendum: The computer operator transferred my mother to Frigidaire's warranty service line at 4:30 EST. A representative named Sherry gave her another number for Lowe's customer service. According to Google, that line is supposed to close at 6:30 EST. My mother was on the phone in a queue repeatedly hearing a message that customer service was busy and they would get to her as soon as possible. I would give this store 0 stars if I could. The Customer Service at this location is a joke. I have shopped at Lowes for years and spent thousands upon thousand of dollars. I have always preferred them over Home Depot. That HAS changed! I bought a trimmer in fall of 2013, after the grass cutting season. I used for summer of 2014 and it began to bog down. The first time in 2015 that I tried to use it, it would not stay running. I followed all trouble shooting steps and checked all the basics. The Troy-Built trimmer had no power, would not stay running and was leaking oil everywhere. When I took to the authorized dealer for service, per the factory warranty, They told me most likely I would get my money back and be able to purchase a new product. They were to going to call on Monday and get a code from the Vendor. I followed up Monday and was told no one could help me. Followed up Tuesday and was told it was out for repair. Once the item returned they want to charge me $65 for an item that costs $81 brand new. They claim the service doesn't fall under warranty. Where I really have my problem is that the Assistant Manager, Mark Silva, told me they did call and the Vendor reported to send it off for service. This is contrary to what the RTM employee told me. She stated it was sent out and no one called. Someone is lying, and they couldn't provide me with any proof that anyone called. The product is garbage, and now I am stuck with either eating the cost or paying the $65. I will be following up with The Better Business Bureau, and filing a small claims court suit. I can't stand dishonesty and thievery. That is what I am experiencing in this case. Bottom line, DON'T shop at this LOWES and definitely don't do business with the Assistant Manager , Mark Silva. We bought a refrigerator that turned out to be defective. We were told they would replace it and given a date and time (one month later). After the 2 hour delivery window passed I called only to be given the run around. Finally, spoke directly with the delivery service (#XPO), which is the worst. I was lied to by every woman I spoke to at XPO. I was told she spoke to the driver and I was the next stop, then I was told he said he was on another delivery at that time (What? I thought I was the next stop.) Then I was told the driver said it wasn't on the truck (is this the same driver?) Then I was told it was being expedited to the manager. The manager indicated he never received the information. He said he would call the store to see what was going on. I said don't bother, I already called the store... I will tell YOU what is going on. So was the driver lying or the women on the phone. Clearly somebody was the liar. One lie after another having calls sent to the wrong place and sitting on hold for extended periods of time only to have no one pick up; and no follow up from customer service much less management. At one point my call was directed to the installation department (corporate) and they inquired about the hard wood floors we wanted installed. I laughed and explained I doubt that would be happening at this point. After taking matters into my own hand and many, many calls, we finally got our order. I am satisfied with the product, but customer service at the #StaffordLowessucks. Ryan, Tiffany, Jackie and Joe need employment in another department. They ignored my calls completely. #Mismanage RUDE! However, MAJOR KUDOS TO IAN! He deserves a raise and promotion. This review is about a store employee. I went on the website to leave a review but they don't have a spot for employee reviews. Instead they have a phone number which rings five times and then answered by voice that says Lowes is understaffed due to Covid apologies goodbye. I went to Lowe's 3 weeks ago with a problem and a lot of questions on how to fix that problem . I wandered around the store, looked for help, 30 minutes later I'm still searching for help, I went and asked someone for help finally but they couldn't assist me bc of some reason and then luckily a man named Thomas was walking by offered to help me. This was an employee and he was very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what I needed to do and told me how to do it then instructed me on what to purchase. He was so helpful I assumed he was the manager and later I found out that he was legally blind and a regular employee. This man is probably the best employee in the store and if it wasn't for him and his service that day I would have likely boycotted Lowe's. So Thomas, thank you for your assistance that day - I went in with broken Glass and Lowe's glass cuter wasn't working. That , and the overwhelming number of other employees who walked right by me standing there asking for help would have pushed anyone over the edge but you really impressed me that day with not only your knowledge but your candor and overall character really saved that experience for me. Went too visit the lawn & garden section on 4/27/20. I purchased 2 planters but needed assistance with selecting the perfect flowers for the planters. Being that I'm not at all a guru when it comes to lawn or gardening. The moment I went to find help, this pleasant young lady by the name of Sarah stopped & asked if I needed help, and I immediately said yes w/a sigh of relief on my face. Sarah was very quick to listen and patient! Sarah sprung into action and began showing me the different flowers she thought would work best for the planters. Too make a long story short, Sarah saved me time, money, and relieved me of the overwhelming stress I started out with!
