Came here after work. Lots of tv. Have outdoor seatings and some tables inside but you can also seat at the bar area. They have free popcorn. They wr code for the restaurant next door but they are okay for you to bring outside food. As for the drinks, they have beers, cocktails, and wine or take a shot if you want too as well. They have a pool table and jukebox if you want to play music. The staffs are nice but they can get busy once the place started to get busy. Prices are decent/average.

It's not the bar but the people. Worst bears bar ever. None of the "fans" are watching or care... they are rude and day drinking which could be done anywhere. It's prob the location... the Marina. If I move here, I'm creating a new bears bar. AND THE MIDDLE TV GLITCHES! So when the college kids are blocking you and you only have one tv.... It's ... uh.. painful. ! This is not it. None of this would be allowed in chicago. Maybe raise the volume of the tv?? No food, but you can bring it in. If there's another one, I'm game. I asked Reddit :( good beer/cider selection tho!

Such a good place and vibe to have beer on Sunday and honestly even on the weekends for all the people that like complicated things please don't go!

This place gets loud but it's one of the few places that I've been recently with decently priced Jameson. And there's plenty of parking.

Nice little dive. The bartender was great: sweet, prompt service, and when about 20 people suddenly came in service stayed the same!

They were out of a few things we wanted, which I could live with, but the food is what got me. Most of the reviews say the burgers were really good and the buns were good as well. I felt the buns might have been at the point where they were almost going stale. Like they wanted to be fresh, but something was holding them back from being fresh. Maybe if the buns had been warmed a bit, it would have helped. The onion rings weren't bad, a bit crunchy, more so than your average beer battered onion ring, but I suppose I would have to try them again to really say if I like them or not. I know it was early and it was a bar setting, but having to sit, not be given a menu, had to grab from a different table along the wall, go up and order, didn't sit well with me. Maybe it's just how the bar is? Not sure as I've never been. The bartender that took my order was nice and friendly. Decent place to watch a game? Sure, looking for a lunch spot for a quick bite? Probably not.

They offer a huge variety of New American fare with generous shareable portions or small plates. The layout was well thought out as every table is comfortable and offers visitors enough room to play musical chairs for those large group meetups. The Brixton gets busy fairly often, but again, the layout and spacing makes it such that you can hear everyone in your party without screaming. The food is great, and I've yet to find a dish that I wouldn't resoundingly recommend. The servers are knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. But it was still hard to hear each other across the table. My husband had a drink at the bar. He ordered a second at the table and they brought him a third. We ordered wontons that never arrived. He ordered a salad with his hamburger and they brought him fries. The food was delicious. Dessert was disappointed. We ordered an apple pie but it was more like a pop tart. All pastry and only a tiny bit of apples. Our server was very helpful and accommodating. I understand that the kitchen was slammed. But I always wonder when the wait staff who takes your order is not the one delivering your food. That's where the mistakes happen. My scallops were delicious. All four tiny ones. Next time we'll come when it's hopefully quieter.

We were easily able to sit at a booth area inside. We got a lychee martini and espresso martini. When we read some past reviews before coming here, people had mentioned a pistachio espresso martini drink, but we didn't see that on the menu. For $14, the martinis were solid. I love a good lychee martini and this one didn't disappoint. My partner's espresso martini was a bit too sweet for our liking though. It was great for the first few sips, but by the end of the drink it was overwhelmingly too sweet. Overall, I liked the vibe of this place and enjoyed our drinks. I'd come back again if someone suggested it, especially for another group outing.

There's something about the ambiance that makes you want to slow down and savor every moment. They always have different specials on the menu, which keeps the experience exciting every time you visit. One of my absolute favorites is the escargot, served in a rich garlic butter sauce simply incredible and full of flavor. The bread is served warm, which is always a lovely touch, and if you're into salads, the burrata caprese is a must. Fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Right away, our male server informed us they were already out of prime rib, which was disappointing considering it's one of the main reasons people come here. He also didn't seem very welcoming from the start. We ended up ordering the NY pepper steak, lobster ravioli, and escargot. The escargot was fine, but the lobster ravioli was honestly a huge letdown. It came with only six small pieces for around $40 and tasted like something I could've bought frozen from Trader Joe's and topped with Alfredo sauce at home. Definitely not worth the price. The steak portion itself was decent, but there was confusion with the sides. We asked to substitute both sides for baked potatoes, but the server misunderstood. She later offered to bring another baked potato, but by then we didn't want to risk being charged extra. What frustrated us more was the lack of transparency. The menu states that all entrees come with a baked potato, but apparently pasta dishes don't qualify. When we mentioned how disappointed we were with the lobster ravioli portion, the response was basically offering us more complimentary bread or ordering an additional entree. The server even acknowledged that the ravioli portions are not entree size, which honestly made it worse. Overall, the experience completely turned us off. Between being out of prime rib, the poor value, confusing menu details, and underwhelming service, I don't think I'll be back. Also worth noting: they charge a credit card processing fee.

Maybe it's unfair since it's been years since I had it in Philly, but I remember how delicious it was when I had it and Jake's just didn't measure up; I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to visit Jake's, but if I was in the neighborhood and was really hungry, I would probably stop by again. The guy at the counter was really accommodating and helpful in bringing water to the table, clearing the empty baskets, and bringing boxes for leftovers, so that's definitely a point in their favor. There were others at my table who ordered the mushroom cheese steak with spinach and one without the bun and both those looked really good. Another person ordered the cheesesteak salad. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their food, so maybe I'll try something different if I went again.
