In 2026, the time of this review, we had hail and wind during a storm last week and I get a random text from them (see picture) stating that I signed up for messages from them, which I did not, and noted the storm. Are they storm chasers now? I really wish they would not "opt in" people that never opted in.

I was asked if there would be a significant other attending sales pitch meeting and I politely indicated I'm a single mom and will make the final decision myself. Yet, I understood the reason behind the inquiry and had no problems with it. The sales guy was straight to the point didn't really try to sell me the product just provided information regarding the product and answered questions I had accordingly. Which I was grateful for! He let me know that there would be about an 8-week fabrication Lead time which I was fine with. The windows did end up ready for installation within that time frame. Empire graciously set the installation date according to my schedule. And I can't rave enough about the three person team who came out and completed the install. Dave and his crew were on time, addressed my concern about placing down floor protection- which they had already anticipated. They were knowledgeable with the product and how to install the windows and the back patio door. Hard consistent workers, there was no downtime during the install. the framework after the bay window was removed was done very professionally and looks amazing. They answered my questions professionally and didn't make me feel stupid for asking very simple questions at times. I cant say enough about this crew, I hope they see this review and see how appreciative this single mom is. They cut no corners and provided exceptional install service that gives this mom a peace of mind! Plus they graciously accepted to take a photo in front of my new front windows!! The windows are not worth the price from the supplier that was used for one of my windows. Odd how…read moreonly 7 of 8 windows are still like brand new but one I consider defective and the supplier does not agree. Thing is on their letter to me they could not even identify the window properly so one has to wonder what they are even thinking of when their windows do not last 100 years or a lifetime! The one window does have defects and they denied a claim. I hope they at Empire Window Company do more than try to sell my mother a new window as they said they would look at the window for a fee but she and I declined their services and tried to check on the warranty thinking it might be more valid. I am only glad I and mother went with a new window company for the last 9 windows. They even mailed her a warranty paper as she requested! Better service from a new company! That is what happens when a shoddy window somehow gets past the supplier check points, they cost Empire Window Company a lot of money! I would have given Empire a 5 star if nothing had happened to the window but something did and explanation by their supplier from 2005 was very poor as I had sent at least 7 pics showing mother's proof of ownership and condition of window that I cleaned just as careful as all the rest including all the new ones. I used expensive soap and water on all windows and dry with microfiber materials that do not smear or scratch as brand new look is admired. I hope Empire gets better suppliers in future from anyplace on the planet!

Patio Enclosures refused to replace it under warranty and without even visiting to look at it, quoted 1600 dollars to replace it. Did I mention we paid 26000 for this room? They wouldn't even call me to discuss. So I hired C &E glass to replace it for 600.00. so not only were they not replacing under warranty, they were trying to make 1,300 on the deal as the glass is only worth 300. So their warranty is worthless and after the sale they just don't care. I recommend you find another supplier if you are installing or replacing a sunroom unless you enjoy arguing. Also they do business as Stanek Windows in the Cleveland area so watch out for that.

I had OBA out to correct my chimney on my house. The first team did not fix the problem last year…read more However, they have a lifetime warranty. It took a few schedule misses before a team could come out to try again. The team that came out today was exceptional. Paul P was the crew leader with Steven M, Robert S, and Laywandre J. Paul agreed to try and lift the chimney this time to correct the problem. He was able to lift the chimney by three inches. I think that this team did a much better job than the one from a year ago. They also cleaned up the yard where they dug so you can't even tell they were here. Great job this time!

Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.

I also understand that I am going to have to talk to vendors that are trying to make money off me and I am going to have to listen to their spiel and haggle with them. And then deal with several other people along the way before the job actually gets completed. After my experience with Window Nation, I don't think I can honestly recommend that anyone else purchase windows from them unless they are prepared to deal with all the hassle up until you get the actual windows. Knock on the door from an ill prepared salesman who said they were in the area that day. Had to haggle about the price and were offered coupon after coupon (price without any of the coupons was astronomical). We were offered a cruise we had to pay for (not a free cruise, only a voucher for a company that offers cruises to people who make large home improvement purchases). Huge lack of communication from the company until the actual day of the install (we had to call them several times about the cruise voucher, about a receipt, about scheduling; things were really only taken care of once the owner of the company got involved and handled things). We were given no direction to move furniture or window treatments prior to installation. Day of install was great, aside from my husband having to move all the furniture out of the way and take all the window treatments down because the installers are not allowed to do any of that, and aren't even allowed to help. Installers were professional and efficient, covered all our stuff with plastic, and didn't leave a mess behind when they left. Seriously, other than the furniture being out of place and the new windows, I would have never known they were there when I got home. So if you choose to go with this company, beware of the process prior to actually getting the windows. The installers are great, the windows are great, but the company itself and the way they handle things can give you a big headache.

Three people came out to do measurements. None of these people told us there would be any problems installing the window. This was for one window that was going to be installed in one day. It took two months and I had to finish the work myself. Apparently ours was the first house that they had ever done a window replacement for that had vinyl siding. They took five weeks to finish the outside of the house because they needed to order replacement parts that were damaged during removal. They needed eight weeks to get replacement woodwork for the inside because (you guessed it) they damaged it during removal. If I hadn't had to consistently call to find out the status of the job, we'd probably still be waiting to get it finished. COMPLETE AMATEUR HOUR. Do your self a favor and find someone that can do the job right.
