Awesome group of professional women. Thorough and compassionate. Easy the schedule appointment and received follow up call after surgery.

Best dermatologist in Cincinnati! Also performs a number of cosmetic procedures and is quite knowledgeable about the latest out there.

I was seen by an…read morein-network nurse practitioner, but later discovered my insurance was billed under a different out-of-network physician's name. I was never told before my visit that this would cause my insurance to deny coverage or that I would be billed at out-of-network rates. When I disputed the charges, the office claimed I "should have known" from a past visit more than a year earlier -- even though they never disclosed this at the time of the current appointment. The result? A bill hundreds of dollars higher than expected for a basic procedure, plus pressure to schedule unnecessary follow-up visits. Patients deserve transparency about costs and insurance coverage before treatment. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about how your visit will be billed, who the "billing provider" will be, and whether that provider is in-network -- or consider going elsewhere.

I had changed my work schedule to keep this appointment. There were three other people at the door who also had not been notified the office was closed. The person I spoke to on the phone was very uncaring about my situation. Obviously their customer service skills are lacking and they have no concept of taking care of patients. They lost a patient and anyone I can keep from seeing them I will.

Another example of why healthcare is not affordable in the US. Instead of prioritizing the importance of encouraging patients to care about skin health, they choose an option to gain more money from the system. I will not be returning.

When I brought this up to Dr. Stephenson, he responded that he had "never heard of that," and didn't seem interested in discussing it further. I let it go at the time. At today's final Accutane checkup, I needed to show the doctor some skin irritation on my inner thighs. Since this is a dermatology office, I assumed this would be a safe space to address skin concerns. I initially showed a picture, but Dr. Stephenson said he couldn't assess much from photos and asked to see it in person. Although it was embarrassing, I decided to show the affected area and made it clear that I felt uncomfortable removing my pants in front of both the doctor and nurse. Instead of offering reassurance or making the situation more comfortable, they were both completely silent -- and to make matters worse, the nurse, Sheryl, actually smiled like she was about to laugh. It was incredibly unprofessional and made me feel judged and humiliated during what was already a vulnerable moment. I came seeking medical care and left feeling uncomfortable and dismissed. If you're in the field of dermatology, you should be prepared to treat all kinds of skin conditions -- without making patients feel weird or ashamed for having them.
