So my father lives in New York and it's getting harder for him to move around. I have been searching for a cleaning service to clean his house for a while. I found Moms Standard and based on the reviews I felt fairly confident in choosing them to clean my Dads home. I was delightfully surprised with the entire process, the online appointment setup and customer service were great. And the quality of the cleaning was impeccable (This is no exaggeration, the attention to detail from this company was second to none). I had only intended to hire Mom's Standard for one cleaning but after seeing the quality of their work I have decided to hire them on a regular basis. Awesome job guys!!! read more

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I called and set an appointment and no one came. I called and no answer. This company is a joke. Got a message from the founder saying "We're confident that your 1 star review is for the incorrect company. Leaving a damaging review for the incorrect company negatively affects our business performance and gives an inaccurate picture of who we are a company." On January 31st, 2019 I received a voicemail from a Diane J****** from Mom's Standard to confirm having someone to come over to view the apartment. I called her back and we confirmed. No one ever showed up on that date. Next time, do due diligence before you make accusations. I made the reservation under my uncle's name so of course my name didn't show up but had I been asked, that would have been known. Trash. read more

I have been a customer for over two years. The service is generally good. I was super happy with a cleaner I had for the past year--enough so that I was willing to overlook the fact that I'm being charged for 6.5 hours, even though it only ever took her 5 on an average day. However, she's left the company. The substitute cleaners are alright, but not always all that thorough for the price. Some have been more professional than others. So it really depends on who you get. I have had problems with their bill payment system, but they keep promising to make it automatic. They apparently have an app messaging system for cleaners that the cleaners never quite see until they're at your home. So communication can sometimes be an issue. read more

The best !!! Found Mom's standard off Yelp more than 2 years ago and have been using them twice a week ever since. Originally just needed a complete deep clean coming off a divorce... Let's marie kondo this shit ! Tarik and Abigail came in and couldn't be more helpful and wonderful. At the first deep clean they were able to clean grout I thought was mold ! Great organizers as well ! Abigail has been my regular cleaner ever since and is consistent and always amazing. I have tried other services and also people who were recommended and nobody compares. There's no bait and switch here and no shoddy workmanship. A plus cleaning services that don't skip a beat ! read more

I'll admit that I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to order and cleanliness...ok, more than a bit. So it's with great enthusiasm that I can recommend Mom's Standard to you, both fellow dirt-phobes and those with just a penchant for fastidious organization. My girlfriend does Airbnb a lot, and I thought it would be a winning move to have her apartment cleaned for her return. These guys were rated the highest, so I called and went with their "Deep Clean" option, which is an incredible value for the price ($130ish). Phillip showed up right at the agreed-upon noon, and got right down to it. He was polite, thorough, and incredibly professional. I left him in her place to go back to work, and returned to find him later working with Tarik, the founder and owner of the company. They were nothing short of amazing. Tarik stayed late and finished and I can honestly say the apartment has never been cleaner. They made the furniture look brand new and there's no dust in sight! They moved the stove to get dust and grime, and were devoted to getting it all. No corners cut. I can't recommend them enough, and will be using them again soon. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Mom's Standard! The cleaner was very efficient and nice and did an excellent job with servicing my apartment. The website is very clear and well done. I am about to make my second appointment with them because I was so satisfied! bonus, love that they use organic products!!! Worth every penny. Thank you! read more

I am really impressed with the attention to detail the cleaners put into cleaning my condo. We had a deep cleaning with several add-ons for appliances, extra bathroom, etc. This is hands down the best cleaning service I've worked with. Taric was also sweet and friendly to work with in terms of scheduling and talking through all the questions I had. The reason for four stars vs five is a couple of things. Unfortunately, it seems like one of our fragrance wall flower plugs was re plugged upside down, resulting in all the liquid dripping into our garbage can and onto our wood floors. I realized this quick enough when I got home to clean it up, so thank goodness it didn't do any damage to our flooring. The other thing was our floors had some dirt remaining in some areas. This sometimes happens after the floor dries after mopping, so it needed some spot cleaning in those areas (I.e. one more vacuum and one more mop). Despite these couple of things (as I'm sure we're honest mistakes), I would gladly work with this service again. read more

I am really pleased with this service. It has been a while since we had the place cleaned, so we ordered the deep clean and deep clean they did! Oscar arrived early and got right to work on the bathroom. Jezabel, came and dove into the kitchen, cleaning every surface and making the place spotless. They even managed to clean a few problem areas we had never managed to get clean. It is safe to say that Jezabel and Oscar did an outstanding job cleaning. We already have plans to make this a regular service for us. Easy to book, fair and reasonable prices, it is an easy yes for us. read more

Mom's Standard lives up to it's name! I left the cleaner at my apartment and went away for the weekend trip. When I arrived home last night it was a wonderful surprise of an incredibly clean home. My tub was sparkling, everything was dusted wiped down and shined! It was impressive as I am a regular client I wanted to give this cleaning an extra thank you review for doing such a great job! Moses changed my home! It was wonderful homecoming. read more

We've been using Mom's Standard for three years and they've been excellent. Tarik came out for the first few cleanings to make sure everything was good. We've had two cleaners, one for the first year and Abigail for the last two and they've both been fantastic. read more

This cleaning company is a great one. From behind the scenes (Tarik) to cleaners (for us, Brenda), this is a pretty seamless operation. They clean well, are extremely reliable and are, simply put, nice. How often do you get that in a company? I like that they offer a variety of services too: weekly cleaning, deep (thorough) cleaning, and add-ons (i.e. laundry). They truly are "mom's standard." Give them a shot! read more

We hired Mom's Standard for a post-construction clean after a frozen pipe flooded our apartment and new flooring needed to be installed. After a month+ of dealing with various incompetent companies, working with Tarik was a breath of fresh air. He was very much on top of everything and made sure all details were ironed out prior to starting work, and also followed up after. He went above and beyond our expectations at every step, even helping us move furniture back. We will certainly hire Mom's Standard again when we need a cleaning service. Thank you! read more

I haven't found a house cleaner like Abigail before, hands down the best service I have ever received in NYC. She was punctual, very friendly, and communicated everything that would be done to get my apartment spotless. I feel like I can trust Mom's Standard with my home, the customer service has been seamless and I'm all setup for bi-weekly service. Thank you Abigail!! read more

First time hiring a cleaning service. I requested deep cleaning. Moses did an outstanding job cleaning my apartment. The attention to detail was impressive. read more

I've been using Mom's Standard for several months now and am very pleased with their service. Their crew is friendly and thorough. They are more expensive than previous housekeepers, but when I come home I'm happy rather than frustrated about what didn't get done. Would recommend. read more

We hired them for a deep cleaning of our two bedroom apartment. Epic fail. We have a large rescue dog, and knowing that some people are scared of big dogs, we asked for a dog-friendly cleaner up front. The people that came were terrified of her, and ended up locking her in our guest room, refusing to clean then room, and saying it was our fault that they couldn't do the second bedroom. They also tried to charge us extra hours because they claimed they had to bring a vacuum -- after they broke ours and said it was broken when they showed up (I had used it just hours earlier. It wasn't broken.) Additionally, Tariq said he had called me multiple times about extra hours and only doing a partial job before they spent more time/left half of it undone, which just wasn't true -- I had my phone with me, left the cleaners my number in addition to leaving it with Tariq, and was constantly keeping an eye on my messages. I didn't get a single call. I usually give people (and companies) second chances, but this was egregious enough that I wouldn't even consider using them again. It felt like I was getting scammed and that I paid money for a job that wasn't done. Not recommended at all, especially if you have pets. read more

I have been relying on Mom's Standard to clean my apartment for almost two years. They do such a great job! Part of their process is that they assign the same cleaner to your apartment each week which allows the cleaner to build familiarity with your space and for you to build a relationship with them...both really important! Brenda has been cleaning my apartment for a while now and I am especially impressed with her attention to detail--I always look forward to sleeping in my bed after she's made it! Tarik, the owner/operator, is also wonderful and always available for working out any hiccups along the way with the process. I recommend highly! read more

Mom's Standard is phenomenal! We were moving out of our old apartment and had, admittedly, let the place go. In order to get our full security deposit back we decided to hire Mom's Standard to clean. Two ladies came on time, were efficient, sweet and did a bang up job! I would recommend this service to anyone who is in need! I think it's also worth mentioning that they are completely eco-friendly. This matters greatly to me because I would rather not use harmful chemicals for the safety of the cleaners, myself and my animals. It's good to know that there is a cleaning service in the city that cares about environmental concerns for the Earth and their employees. Forward thinking and doing, sign me up! read more

I'll start by saying that the company and the gentleman that came to clean were very concerned about the details. They want to leave your place spotless, which is great. Therefore, be prepared to spend the money so it can get done right. Living spaces should be prepped beforehand because you're paying for the time, not the service. We had a bit of a misunderstanding about this initially, but Tarik accommodated me as a first timer. I plan to use their services again and I'm picky. Would recommend. read more

Tarek & his lively team are simply the most impeccable cleaning service in Brooklyn! Every aspect of this experience was extremely pleasant & exceeded my wildest dreams! When booking the appointment, I was slightly apprehensive, as I must admit that I have had such awful & chaotic experiences with these types of services in the past. After calling a few of the top Yelp results for Home Cleaning Services in my new area & receiving only answering machines, Mom's Standard was the first to call me back. I was provided an accurate estimate over the phone, with the help of some photos. We were even able to schedule an appointment within the next day or two! Though it started by arriving punctually, it did not end until absolutely every inch had been graced with their flare! Above & beyond merely begins to describe the level of excellence & professionalism we received today first-hand from service provided by Mom's Standard! Undoubtedly thorough, meticulous, dedicated, efficient, effective, timely, endearing & intelligent are just some wonderful words to lend to these very trustworthy folks. It was obvious to me within minutes of my acquaintance with the team that I would not have to worry leaving them in my home while I ran errands. You will be no where near disappointed by their undeniably competitive prices, smiling faces & squeaky clean sparkles that are left in their wake! I would have paid double anywhere else for this quality & satisfaction. It was certainly a humungous bonus to know that they use plant-based products for cleaning as common practice. Far beyond my own "mom's standard," the results of our Deep Clean today would leave my grandmother swooning! They are worth their time in GOLD! A word to the wise: From someone who has been through possibly hundreds of cleaning services in the NY/NJ area & have definitely seen what kind tomfoolery can go on, do yourself a huge favor & go with the very, very best: Mom's Standard! You deserve it! read more

I have never left a Yelp review before, but these guys didn't even come when I booked. Making the first appointment (which was meant to be the first of a weekly reoccurring) required back and forth over email on pricing. Turns out you can only book one of 2 windows if you want it to be reoccurring, which wasn't clear on the site. I made an appointment online - after talking over email. The appointment showed booked in my account, but no one every showed up. Bad site, bad customer service. read more

I've been using this company for a over a year now and they're always doing a great job. Especially our usual cleaner Pamela is not only very thorough but also super nice and professional. I have never had a problem with them and would definitely recommend Mom's Standard if you're looking for a reliable and thorough cleaning service. read more

I recently visited a friend's house who had just used Mom's. The moment I walked in I could smell the clean! As it turned out the friend had an appendectomy shortly afterwards; what a joy it was for her to come home to a spanking clean home. Hooked for life! read more

I recently went with another company and it wasn't so great. Realized how great Mom's Standard actually is. I've always had thorough cleanings and was never disappointed with the work. Great customer service as well. Thumbs up! read more

Excellent!!!! Everyone who knows me, knows that I despise cleaning. After having some work done at my house, dust was a major issue. I asked around and a friend recommended Mom's Standard. I called and spoke with the owner. The price negotiation process was painless. The workers were on time and my whole place was done in a few hours. I would definitely recommend them, and definitely use them again. They also do organization which other companies don't. And they have the option of Eco friendly cleaning products if you're into that. read more

I have used several cleaning services in the city and while my apartment was definitely cleaner, small things would be missed that seemed like no brainers to me such as dust behind my bedroom door. Mom's Standard is the first service that I've used where my apartment was literally immaculate. I got home and my apartment never looked so clean. The bathroom was perfect, the kitchen was spectacular - every nook and cranny was perfection. Things like grease under the stove top, food in the microwave - everything was shining. Haven't used anyone else - won't use anyone else. My mom is a NEAT FREAK so the name of the service is true to life. Really is my mom's standard! Also Tarik is really sweet and friendly and a pleasure to speak with on the phone. He really is concerned about your place looking the best it can. read more

After several years of looking for the right cleaning service I found Mom's Standard. Tarek is SERIOUS about the service he prides and he really stands by his work. He organized kids play area and insured that his employees cleaned the my home according to his standards. we will be using Mom's Standard moving forward. read more

Tarik did a superb job! I scheduled a deep clean and he was very honest about the amount of time it would take and the cost. He was very quick to respond and is willing to go above and beyond! Will definitely book again! Thank you! read more

My gf and I have lived together for years, and have never been able to settle on a cleaner until now. We're super picky but Tarik's team consistently delivers a quality result that we're satisfied with. Stop wasting your precious time with other services; you get what you pay for! read more

The two people that came to clean were fantastic. They were great at detailed work, friendly and trustworthy. Me and my mom could not believe how meticulous they were. The only thing that did not go well was they way underestimated how long the job would take. But they charged us according to their original estimate even though they put in a lot more time. I would highly recommend them! We will use their services again! read more

The service was amazing! The ladies were so sweet. And our place wasn't this clean when we first moved in. I did not think it possible for my bathroom to get that clean. I would highly recommend them to everyone. read more

I have used a few cleaning services but Mom's Standards is the perfect one. Mom's Standards is completely professional, thorough, reliable and excellent overall. I will continue to recommend Mom's Standard to anyone who needs cleaning service. read more

Had a "move in" clean done today by Mom's Standard and I am beyond pleased. I've tried maybe 6 different cleaning services over the past 2 years, and they are the first to have truly wowed me. First, right on time and brought all needed equipment. I admit to being super picky when it comes to cleaning and I really can't find anything that was missed, no exaggeration. Our cleaning went longer than first estimated (due to some unforeseen issues) but they checked in with me prior to going over the agreed upon hours and gave accurate estimates of the extra time needed. Can't recommend Mom's Standard enough! read more

We booked a deep clean after a recommendation from my co-worker. Absolutely worth it and I'm so thankful for Brad & Abigail's thoroughness. We prepped our place so all objects/stuff were in the spots we wanted them. We came home to spotless surfaces (even under all the appliances, books, etc) & floors. We will definitely book again & recommend them! Thank you Brad & Abigail! read more

Really great, consistent cleaners. Brenda has always done a thorough job when cleaning our apartment. She is a hard worker, very friendly and a pleasure to work with. read more

I just can't believe how clean my apartment is and feels. I had them do a deep clean because the $48 off seem to be reasonable. I don't clean often, so I spend to get a deep clean a few times during the year to get places I don't get like those nooks and crannies.. Let me start off by saying, they don't use a mop, they were on their knees and hands mopping, I didn't request a vacuum, but they had one which was a plus and they vacuumed the hell out of my place. I've never seen someone worked as hard as Jasmine did. I don't know, but she probably cleaned some areas twice. She took all the things I had on my dresser and was wiping the items one by one and put them all back neatly. I appreciate someone taking pride in their work.. I'm sorry, but Mom's Standard lives up to its name.. read more

Mom's Standard is really the best. Tarik has an amazing team of people who clean that are exceptionally thorough and pleasant. They really do clean every inch of your space by hand. Scheduling is easy and Tarik is very responsive to emails. There's nothing better to coming home to a perfectly clean home, and this crew really nails it. Even the pickiest of people will appreciate their attention to detail. read more

I would highly recommend Mom's Standard to anyone needing a thorough cleaning of their home. I have had 2 different experiences with them recently and am happy to report that both times I couldn't be happier. As a MOM of three kids and GRANDMOTHER of one, my standards are set pretty high. Both my sons hired Mom's Standard to clean each of their apartments in NY, and the results were nothing short of miraculous. Although I've tried to instill a sense of neatness and cleanliness in all my children, I have come up a bit short. Not so with Mom's Standard! They're incredibly professional, set a very high "Standard" and will not leave the job until all is done (no matter the time). I strongly recommend Mom's Standard cleaning service to all...they don't get any better! read more

Let me start by saying I am a perfectionist! So I have very high standards! Right now I have so much to do but I had to take the time to write this review because Tarik and Micheal are that amazing! - I never used a cleaning service before! But like I said I have been super busy and In the middle of a move so I decided to turn to yelp. I have heard horror stories and I'm very anal so I went on an extensive search over a few days. And called several companies.. - I finally found Moms Standard (somehow i missed it in my first search) Thank you to all those who left comments because once I found them the reviews definitely got my attention... And they seemed to be one of the only companies that had reviews that matched the type of "clean" I was looking for! - Later I remembered my friend (who may be just as type A as me when it comes to clean). She recently moved and I wondered if she used a cleaning service! So I asked her and she text me a number and when I called I realized it was moms standard! - customer service -Tarik epitomizes the true meaning of customer service! He went literally out of his way to accommodate me several times! And every phone call was answered with courtesy, respect and patience (for my many questions)! - professionalism- Micheal and Tarik were on time! Explained the whole process. Sent me a reminder the day before and answered my emails quickly. I was able to trust them to leave them there and do all I needed to for the day! They communicated constantly about the cleaning process. - CLEAN - their company holds up to its name if you have a really strict mother who inspects with a white glove! They scrubbed every nook and cranny! They moved out furniture.. Scrubbed the floors. Cleaned around, under, behind, up and down every surface there was to clean.. They moved the fridge and stove and even cleaned behind it! They cleaned out cobwebs, dirt and grime from all types of surfaces! The windows were even spotless! Like I said! AMAZING! And they did not leave until the place was perfect!! And it was a BIG job! I can go on and on but the best way to know is to use them for yourself!! - they Are truly wonderful and it is hard to find good honest companies who uphold these kind of standards before all else! They put the customer and clean first! .. In the midst of all the things going on it was a true blessing and a load off of me to have had their services! Now I step in to a clean and fresh like new home! THANK YOU Tarik AND Micheal ! read more

Mom's standard cleaned my new apartment last week and I couldn't be happier with the results. The space is large, around 1000 sq ft ad was in need of a serious deep claan. They got into every nook and cranny and left it cleaner than I thought was possible. The both the cleaners and the admin team, especially Tarik were extremely helpful and conscientious. I will definitely be using their services again! read more
