He had been quite resistant to moving from his independent living facility in the south bay, but it was clear he was not getting the care he needed there, even though we were paying for extra services. After an illness and 10 day hospital stay, we knew he couldn't go back there and are delighted and grateful that Creekwood had an opening. They were flexible about his recovery needs and the transition went very smoothly. He is very content and calm and is actually showing signs of cognitive improvement now that he has all of his needs met at Creekwood. The facility is always clean, and the kind staff is wonderful! Everything is included in the monthly rate: help with showering, dressing, shaving, bathroom help, medication administration, incontinence supplies, so you don't have to piecemeal individual service costs, which makes things so much easier. The best part is I have the utmost confidence that all of his needs are being met and he truly feels at home now.

Hi, This is Pat, I have lived in three residences so far and…read moreDrake Terrace is decidedly the best! this is mainly because the staff is really caring. You see and feel the relationship[s build between us. The attention paid to preferences and recognition and care of physical conditions. The building isn't the most modern around the edges - But that doesn't really matter, ones former home sometimes was too. However the garden is really lovely - a green and peaceful place where the birds come and drink at the fountain where we can sit with our friends and family and watch entertainment provided by the management. And the FOOD (no small matter) is good! Definitely several cuts above what one expects of an institution of this sort. All in all, by most standards. I would give Drake Terrace High marks! and I'm happy and grateful to be leaving here.

Any perceived need for change is then taken to administration to be acted upon. 7- Communication is open, which keeps residents happy and well. 8- Programs and outings are varied, with monthly signe ups if participant participation must be limited. 9- Residents come from all over and bring new experiences to share. 10- Personal ambassadors assist new resident personally. I wish there were more stars to give to The Anton Pointe. The care here is professional and…read morepersonal. On my daily visits my husband is well groomed and well dressed. He is now eating, sitting in a regular chair and walking with a walker. The meals are nutritious and generous. Thank you Cleda and staff for taking such good care of my husband you've literally saved my sanity. I highly recommend this place to care for your loved one. Once again Merci. Renata

Yelp Review Cleda,…read morethe owner, and her staff are absolutely not in business from the kindness or goodness in their hearts or for the care and well being of their residents. They are regularly verbally and physically abusive. During my father's 8+ month stay there, he had bruises all over his back, sides and arms regularly. He even had a BLACK EYE. When I brought this to their attention they all became completely defensive rather than expressing the least bit of concern. Strangely, no one knew how this even happened. His legs became so swollen with fluid draining from them about which I was not informed. When I sent pics to his physician, she advised me to take him to the ER immediately. He had falls that were not tended to or even discovered for hours and never reported, which is against regulations and potentially life-threatening. He developed red, terribly itchy bumps all over his body. It was disclosed to me by one staff member that two of the female staff hit residents-- I personally have heard Philomen yelling at and scolding residents, and that was when I was present! Joy ignores residents throughout her shifts, taking naps and doesn't even look up from her phone much of the time. They are spiteful, mean and neglectful. Cleda, the owner, is very phony and duplicitous. They would smile nicely at me then say horrible things in my absence. The food is awful; cheap and far from nutritious. They rarely cook homemade meals but serve prepared, canned meals often. They are exceedingly lazy and I highly doubt any of them have gone through any special training to care for dementia. Broken handicap supports and toilet bars not repaired for months. It's a hazardous facility both literally and figuratively, physically and mentally. I had to move my father out immediately after hearing about the physical abuse going on. Cleda and her husband refused to give my remaining $3000 back. This is nowhere near a kind, nurturing, loving or safe "home" for your loved one. They ever so slightly changed their name a couple years ago, which I suspect is so that no one could access their past complaints with licensing board. I would never recommend this facility. In fact, I would recommend steering very clear of here. I am literally stupefied how they are still in business.

My dad, who has Alzheimers, was welcomed warmly into the Traditions facility and has made many friends. Despite his ongoing decline, he is well taken care of and thrives doing the activities, especially with Dean, the amazing Engagement Coordinator. My mom's situation was much more complicated and the whole team at Oakmont worked with me to navigate her accommodations and support as she recovered from a mental health emergency. With support from Oakmont, she has made a miraculous recovery and is moving from the Traditions side to the Assisted Living side this week. The whole team has been incredibly gracious during this challenging time and is actively supporting my mom navigate losing her husband to Alzheimers while also trying to rehabilitate herself. The facility is beautiful and while there is nothing fun about witnessing parents age and decline, the staff at Oakmont of Novato have made one of the hardest times of my life easier to manage.

From the moment we arrived, we felt surrounded by people who treated my Mom with genuine kindness. Scott was incredibly compassionate and reassuring--he made us feel like Mom wasn't just moving into a facility, but into a real home. And Mildred... there are no words. She cared for our Mother as if she were her own, with so much love and tenderness. She even came to my Mom's funeral and sat with our family, which meant the world to us. The environment itself is beautiful, warm, and thoughtfully designed. The meals are restaurant-quality--menus in leather-bound books and always beautifully presented. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Oakmont Novato. They cared for my Mom in a way we will never forget.

My father joined Atria 3 months ago after touring other communities in the area and chose Tamalpaias Creek due to the warm welcome he received from residents and staff combined with his repeated observations that the community seemed happy, social and vibrant. As a social person he was seeking friendly and kind people with a busy activity calendar and was relieved to find what he sought. The series of performances, outings, and in-house social events have offered a changing menu of enjoyable choices to stay busy and engaged. Highlights for my father have included: feeling that every staff member knows him and offers help and warm greetings whenever they see him, consistently excellent food (he can be very particular so this was huge!), regular and easy access to a driver for shopping and banking, many nice residents to get to know and to meet for meals together, and truly well-run operations that reliably take care of so many important details of daily life while constantly looking out for the residents' needs and well-being. As my father's primary caretaker (with much appreciated help from my sister) I have been impressed with this community from the beginning with not only all of the aspects noticeable to my dad, but also all of the wonderful, responsive, caring, professional, and helpful interactions I have had with every staff member. The directors of Atria Tamalpaias Creek should feel proud of the truly exceptional community and operations that they have developed and continue to actively cultivate every day. I am writing as the family member most involved with the care of my Mother, and as a former long-time employee of places very similar to Atria Tam Creek. My Mother has been there about 3 months. It was not always an easy adjustment for my Mother and I, but we have been met MORE than halfway by all the people working there, all the way up to, and including, the superb Executive Director. The recreational activities are excellent (imaginative and well run) and the food is the best I have tasted in "institutional" fare--more like a good restaurant...day after day! (I know because I visit 2 x week.)
