Seriously…read more After my parents passed away in 2016 and 2017, the handling of their trust assets was assigned to a fiduciary in Sonoma County, where they'd lived. After years of having limited dealings with the fiduciary and regular static on the occasions when I did need her assistance or required information, I was finally able to select a new fiduciary to take over the role. Several recommendations came my way and Enlow Fishler were included among those. My expectations were low, but when I spoke with Melissa initially and realized I was going to get to speak to a real person, right off the bat - no dodges or complications, that was a good start. I kept the other recommendations in mind, but moved forward and set a meeting with Enlow Fishler to see what they were about. The two women who met me at my local bakery were considerate, present and honest. At no point did they project anything that wasn't authentic and which they weren't prepared to back up with action. They didn't promise perfection, but they were ready to stand by their ethics, prioritization of the best interests of their clients and the joint power of their smarts and hearts. They've delivered - in spades. Within months, they not only had the tangle of the trust accounts straightened out and transferred over from the previous fiduciaries, but they'd discovered accounts the other fiduciary lost track of which more than covered all the legal fees for their services and the transfer of trustees. (I'm sure this cannot possibly be the case under ordinary circumstances, but it speaks to their thoroughness and value.) It isn't too much to say they've changed - not only my life, but the lives of my sons as well. After meeting with me, prior to taking us on as clients, they insisted on sitting down with my sons as well, as we're all beneficiaries of the trust. They've shown compassion and a deep interest in supporting each of us - as individuals, toward our various goals. They've routinely stated "it's not our money, it's yours." Since the trust stipulates that my sons won't receive their portions until they turn 35, I've known the relationship with our fiduciary(ies) would stretch into the future, making our trust in that entity all the more crucial. Knowing those now carrying that title and responsibility are women I trust implicitly lifts a weight that's been on my shoulders for years. I have never felt such a strong obligation and privilege to recommend a business before, but should you be looking for professional fiduciaries worth their weight in gold, look no further.

She was rushed to the hospital and Marin Home Care has refused to give me her house keys, or tell me how they left my mother's house even with my legal right and now her house sits neglected, this has been going on for over three weeks. Initially they told me they did not think I deserved the key, and now they are telling me they don't have a key which is a lie since they had keys to the house for 8 years. Beware of this company, they are outrageously inappropriate and over step their authority. I have seriously never dealt with a worse company, especially when this is hurting my mother and me because I can't get to important information regarding her health from the house. I can't imagine why they are making this so hard on me and my mother.

Cleaning, cooking, driving, wellness assistance at any level. My elderly Mother also uses Home Instead in another region of California, so they have a good track record. If you get a caregiver who isn't a good fit, you just call the Home Instead office and they immediately find another caregiver. Licensed, insured, and highly professional, I can recommend Home Instead for caregiving. I also find it comforting to know that if I have a health emergency in the future that requires caregiving at home, I have an established relationship with Home Instead for quick service.

Also, both of my parents had been dramatically declining for a couple of months, so we needed to act fast to get them new doctors with weekly appointments and consistent caregiving. Aegis Corte Madera is the right place for them. An excellent UCSF doctor visits the community every Tuesday, and she has improved my parents' medical care. She works closely with the nurses onsite, so there is clear communication and implementation. Both parents made trips to Marin Health (hospital), so it was not an overnight success, but their health has stabilized. I have faith in their medical care, and they are in better shape than when they lived in their home. The management is exceptionally welcoming. They made my parents feel like they belonged right away. The GM buddied up to my dad to make him comfortable. The nurses and caregivers display a lot of care and even affection, which helped my mom adapt. The management staff is deeply invested in each individual and will do whatever it takes to settle people into the community. The cost is high, and the entrance/community fee is too high. However, I could not find another option offering medical support, very comfortable living spaces, a sunny apartment with views of the Marin ridgelines, and lively community activities. When I looked at my spreadsheet, the monthly costs for almost all the facilities were very close. I bit the bullet and paid the higher community fee, and we've had an excellent outcome. The VA will pay for 16 hours of care and all this was put into place. The schedule was 2 days at 5 hours and 1 day at 6 hours. After the surgery I get a call from their representative who hadn't opened the emaI with the dates requested for 3 days. She promised to work on schedule. Then I get communicaiton telling me her people only want to work full days and she has no one to send out because her people only want to work full days. Surely, she knew that prior and if she had reviewed schedule when it was sent it would have given me time to find another company. Here I am with no help and I work with cancer patients so no way to cancel work. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO ANYONE AT THEIR MOST VUNERABLE MOMENT. There were no delays on my end. My advice to anyone going into a CFE is to be objective and do not give conclusions based on opinions or feelings. Answer questions directly and provide all supporting documentation and information that allows the CFE make the conclusion. Also, do not be afraid to admit fault. It is not an admission of guilt but a sign of self-awareness, which goes a long way to being a "better than average parent". This is not about you, it is about your children. I would absolutely recommend Dr. David Weinstock every time to conduct a CFE, especially for someone who is in a contentious custody dispute with someone who attempts to manipulate the system; however, I would not recommend him if this person is you.
