Coming from Queens, I was so shocked of how large this place is for a Nepalese/momo spot! Usually they're little hole in the walls but this is what happens when you leave Queens. The space is big and filled with cute plants to look at. The momos here are so juicy and filled with a good amount of meat. Definitely add the Himalayan onion soup to atleast one of your orders like we did. They have a vegetarian (possible vegan) side of the menu and a non-veg side. I can't wait to come back and try the thukpa. read more

Great Nepalese food and with that comforting home cooked meal taste. Highly recommend the momos and the platter meals

So, so good. We did not have a reservation, but they accommodated us anyway! Yay, and thank you! Ordered the vegetarian platter, the vegetarian dumplings and a "side" of curried chicken. Our group of three was very satisfied. The butter tea, billed as an "acquired taste" was awesome! As long as you accept the reality of "salty," it may work for you too! read more

Another place where I feel I must be doing it wrong. Yes, the dumplings are good, but hardly remarkable. On my most recent attempt I ordered a chicken curry, which was spectacular. It's hard to imagine because the dish is relatively simple, but every flavor went to 11. I was delighted. So, my recommendation is to avoid the dumplings and explore the rest. read more

We had an excellent experience here. The environment and service were great. Nepal cuisine is simple, straight to the point, and delicious. Grass-fed beef dumplings, iced chiya jasmine rice, creamy, chunky chicken soup, and phing sha beef stew with glass noodles read more

Momo is my favorite restaurant in Beacon. The food is homemade and absolutely delicious. There is a vegan menu and regular menu as well. The green tea dumplings are really flavorful and delicious as well as the chow mein. Plus the Himalayan platter gives you the chance to try a sampling of many items at once. The environment is tranquil and simple and the staff is always friendly and efficient. read more

This is a soothing, clean, sweet little spot right on the Beacon strip. But with five stars on Yelp, I expected to be pretty starry-eyed eating their momos and beef stew and salted tea. I wasn't too wow'ed and I don't think any of my friends were. The momos were, by far, the best part. The chicken and beef momos were juicy though a tad salty. The beef stew was pretty forgettable though. I wouldn't come back but I'm glad to try it - can't say no to Himalayan. read more

We ordered online Saturday evening and were given exactly one hour before it would be ready. It was ready as promised and incredibly delicious! Six of us got six different entrees and the were all hits. The dumplings were good too! I think we'll all get the same things next visit, but I want to try everything. read more

We drove all the way from Queens and were anxious to try different food stalls. But Momo Valley was the only food stall open today, a Tuesday. Not sure if the other stalls will be open later in the week. And, a couple of the stalls looked like they were actually shut down. Bummer. The momos, however, did not disappoint. We've tried all kinds of dumplings. But, these were definitely a bit different than their Chinese variety. The skin was a little doughier. And their fillings ranged from yak to spinach and cheese. They were all really tasty, but I especially enjoyed the spinach and cheese. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was their price to portion ratio. These are about NYC prices, but with tiny portions. However, you are getting locally sourced and organic foods, as well as a bit of the exotic. I suppose that's the price. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. We try to take one day trip per week to an upstate town. And our friends live near the town. So, we've decided to meet up again next month at the same location. Hopefully there will be more stalls open next time. read more

I love trying different cuisines because through the food, we get a peek at cultures from around the world. I love everything about Momo Valley in Beacon NY. The food is delicious and tastes authentic, the service is quietly supreme. The ambiance is mellow and the space is exceptionally clean. I've enjoyed myself every time I've eaten here and I wholeheartedly recommend it because while it's Asian food it is not immediately reminiscent of ANY OTHER ASIAN OPTIONS in the area. Four yums up for a parade of treats that will certainly delight you. read more

Momo Valley is a food stall located in the Hudson Valley Food Hall. It serves Himalayan/Nepalese food and there are vegetarian options. I had beef momos, which comes with a spicy sauce, and thupka (noodle soup). The food was good and flavorful but it was slightly on the salty side. I am a little bit bummed that they messed up my order, but it was not a big deal for me to go back and have them correct it. Despite that the owners are very friendly. There are seating in the food hall, but I took it to go. read more

The windows are full of beautiful, lush, green plants in the window. It a very nice open space with tables far enough apart you're not on top of other dinners. Now, the FOOD was F*%king DELICIOUS. I had the vegan platter. Do yourself a favor and get your own, after you have a taste you will not want to share. The garlicky greens, the okra, and the Gosh Darn LENTIL SOUP!!! To be clear, this is located inside the food hall, which is next door to the dentist office. The only criticism is that the menu board at the food stall is comically complicated. But who cares? The momo's are easy to order a la carte (similar wrapping as Chinese dumplings, but the flavor profiles of the fillings are different). The entrees are available on a rotating basis, apparently. Just order a platter and point to the dishes that you would like. Delicious. read more

Food is simple and delicious. Service is great! Takes food a bit to come out but worth the wait!

Spinach and cheese momo (8.5/10)- I had the spinach and cheese pan fried momo, which the owner recommended. They were out of the vegan momo, which was my first option. It was yum! The cheese Inside tasted like mozzarella. It came with the sauce, that gave it some acidity and more umami. Vegan platter (7.5/10)-- I had the dal bhat tarkari, a vegan platter. The okra was delicious and seasoned well. Potatoes as well, although the larger pieces were a smidge under done. Spinach was simple, but good. Daal had a yummy texture, but overall a bit bland. Overall solid experience! I'd come back! read more

Stumbled across this gem on a weekend trip to Beacon. We had just ate some rather bland tacos nearby and were looking for something with a little more kick and this did just the trick. I personally had never tried Himalayan food before, but my girlfriend had so I was excited to see what Momo Valley had to offer. We started out with the dhal bhat with lentil soup, pickled carrots, chicken curry, and tar Kari and the flavors were on point. We also had the yak momo's which were also fire. Tasted similar to Chinese dumplings with a little more kick due to the added spices. Will def be returning here if we're ever in beacon again. read more

I never would have come to this restaurant had it not come so highly recommended. Many of my friends have gone and raved about it and I can see why! It is super clean, the staff is friendly, and the food delicious. I got the spicy chicken bowl and my husband got the Everest platter. The spicy chicken bowl was definitely spicy, but not overwhelming. It had excellent flavor and was a decently big sized portion. The Everest platter is great if you want to try a little bit of everything. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Eat here!! Yummy food and friendly staff :) Tucked away in the Hudson Valley Food Hall is Momo Valley. Stopped here for lunch on a sunny Sunday. The food hall wasnt open for indoor dining so I ordered my food and sat in their backyard patio. I imagine it would be pretty nice to sit out there during the evenings when it's not as hot with the string lights turned on. Ordered their assorted momos (spicy), tarkari Everest platter and pickled daikon. Steamed Momos (2 of each) - beef, chicken, spinach and cheese, and veggie. The veggie tasted really fresh and full of various veggies, herbs and spices. The spinach and cheese was very cheese according to mom (cheese is always a good thing though, right??). Didn't try the chicken but mom said it wasn't quite as salty as the others. Beef was good but a little too salty for my tastebuds. Everest Platter - this was really good. I like that there are a variety of items to try. Top left corner - lentil soup - this was my favorite item in the platter. It had a hint of sweetness and helped "reset" the palate after eating the other goodies. Center - fermented and pickled daikon. Top right corner - string beans and potatoes. B right - spinach and brown rice. B left - cauliflower, green peas, edamame, onion in a curry sauce - I love love love cauliflower and onions, especially onions. All in all the vegetarian platter was delicious and i didn't feel it needed meat because there was so much flavor. There are a couple of interesting drinks on the menu that I would love to try the next time I'm in Beacon. read more

We have followed this place t From the food hall to them having their own Resturant in beacon. We are glad they stayed the food is fresh and delicious!! The only regret this their dumplings are smaller!! But sooooo tasty you don't care. You have to know that these dumplings are not like the typical dumpling from a Chinese food. Great for vegans. Went there during dinner rush hour without reservations, they were still able to find us a table after a few minutes. Staff is super accommodating and nice, food is delicious. Great food. We decided to do the vegan side of the menu just as something different. The Thaku and ChowMein were excellent. So much flavor in both dishes. The vegan momos were also delicious. We tried the chicken, beef, and vegan momos, along with their chowmein. Wow, everything was SO delicious! I'm a huge dumpling fan and these were so tasty and fresh. We got there around 5:30pm on a Friday to get a table as the place is on the small size. It was clean and bright and staff was super friendly and helpful about the menu. We sat by the window which was filled with healthy plants. The dumpling momos were steamed and good. Unlike southern Indian food it is simpler, still got a spice to it and less salty we found.
