This is my second time at mono n curry. It's an average place in my opinion. The fried vegetable momo is not really good, over fried and too little stuffing. Tastes average, growing up in India I had better momo even in average street food places. The egg chow mein actually is tasty. Not oily, have chunks of fried eggs and vegetables like carrots, cabbages. A mild taste of black pepper is really nice and complements the tastes of fried vegetables. Momo N Curry is truly a hidden gem. This place doesn't look like much on the outside, but the food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced. My go to order is the cuchumber salad, which is incredibly refreshing. The garlic naan is a huge portion as well as the tikka masala. Both are super tasty, some of the best I have had! I would say that the tikka masala is the best item on the menu, so flavorful and the chicken is always cooked perfect, never tough or chewy. The mint lemonade is one of my favorites. A neighborhood gem in a Concord strip mall on Clayton Rd. and near Dunkin Donuts. It is an Indian/Nepalese restaurant. Ambiance is like a nicely decorated cafe. Very quiet at 6:30pm, but more customers came in later and it was still low noise. Restaurant was clean. The waiter is quite nice and very helpful in explaining the differences between Indian/Nepalese/Himalayan food. They all have Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken Curry, Chicken Curry, Naan, etc. Nepalese has Momos... dumplings and a Nepalese version of chow mein. My friend and I started with appetizers the Lamb Sekuwa ( seasoned grilled lamb) a Nepalese favorite and Samosa Chat. My friend loved the lamb sekuwa. (I don't eat lamb so I can't review) but the Samosa Chat was quite flavorful with seasoned potatoes in a pastry with special sauces. For our entrees we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Momos (dumplings) and Nepalese Chow Mein. All three entrees were very tasty & flavorful! We also ordered Garlic & Basil Naan . Sorry I didn't take any pictures of these dishes since we were so excited with eating these special dishes we just dove into our food. Definitely will be back for more! My friend is from Nepal and took me here. This is our second time together. The first time was alright but there has been a change in ownership and this time the food was amazing. The owner is Nepalese-he and my friend had a nice conversation in their native tongue. I couldn't understand them but they were both smiling and sounding happy in their chat. I can't describe how crazy good the flavor was. Their hot sauce was really complex-made my nose run a little but full of different flavors. The other sauce, not spicy, was nice and complex also. The Momo's were fresh and had perfect seasoning like a great Indian restaurant but not Indian food. I wouldn't have known it was Nepali cuisine without my friend there- in fact I thought it was Burmese and was looking for Tea Leaf Salad until she told me we were not at a Burmese Restaurant. The food here is delicious! I have a hard time going to anywhere else for Indian food now since I've been ordering from Momo due to the quality of their dishes. A friend of mine that originally was from Nepal even drives all the way out to here from Hayward since they remind him of home. I've always pick up my food to go mainly for the comfort of my home, but I do plan to eat there someday. (I don't use grubhub since they tend to rip off restaurants, drivers and the customers) The Momo's are great, though I love the butter chicken, tiki masala, samosa chat!!, lasooni saag paneer, and garlic naan. The high reviews caught my attention, but unfortunately I don't agree. I've done takeout twice now, and while their chicken momo sizzler is great, almost everything else I've tried is mediocre. Across both orders, I've tried the chili momo, garlic naan, samosas, lamb vindaloo, chicken momo sizzler, and mix grill. I thought the chili momo would be steamed since that's what the description said. To my surprise they were fried and then coated in sauce. Slightly disappointing because I wouldn't have ordered it otherwise. On the flip side, the chicken momo sizzler was steamed and full of flavor. Definitely recommend those! The samosas were girthy (lol) and also loaded with spices. Those were my only two wins. Unfortunately, the various meats in the mix grill were dry. Since there's no sauce included in the dish, we used some that we had at home to try and salvage it. It kind of worked. The garlic naan was also on the dry side both times I ordered it. We got this for takeout for NYE and it was really easy to order online and pick it up. I got the chicken curry and vegetable pakoda, but also tried the lamb curry. Everything smelled so delicious and both of the curries had tender meat and the right level of spice. I moved from Oakland :( to Walnut Creek! :) Trying to find my local take out spots- Indian food was on the list and I think I found the place! This restaurant is on UberEats so easy to order take out or delivery. I also recommend calling and ordering so the restaurant doesn't need to share commission with Uber... if not, TIP. I ordered take out on a Saturday night and my food was ready in about 30 mins. Parking is available in the lot. They have indoor dining available as well. The restaurant smelled GREAT when I picked up my food... I knew what we ordered would be delicious. We ordered chicken tiki masala, chicken paneer, veggie samosas, garlic naan. All were delicious! Lots of flavor, not too spicy. I'm sure you can ask to change the spice level. I ordered as is. Chicken was good- not rubbery that other places can be. My boyfriend and I noticed the rice (served with curry dishes) was a NORMAL amount of rice to give ONE person. The box is slightly smaller than what've seen at other places. A RELIEF cause we always toss rice away when ordering Indian food. The curry dishes/rice were enough for one meal and leftovers next day. PERFECT amount. I got this delivered so this review is just for the food. The basil garlic naan had a lot of basil/garlic, flavorful and super soft. The butter chicken had tender pieces of chicken and was perfectly creamy. I'm used to raita being very liquidy and this one was slightly thick but it was very good. The dumplings were good and tasty. We had a great take away lunch from MoMo N Curry in Concord today. Specializing in Indian- Nepalese cuisines, we were able to try 3 dishes that were different or new to us. Our entrees came with steamed basmati rice and we also had an order of vegetable fried rice. Our side order of samosas were fat, little deep fried pillows filled with a big scoop of mashed potatoes and peas flavored with Indian spices. Delicious! We split the chana masala (chick peas cooked in a mild spiced onion sauce with tomatoes & herbs) and dal makhni (lentils in a mildly spiced onion, tomato sauce). Both dishes went well over rice and paired with fresh naan. Even with three of us chowing down, there's enough left over for a light meal later. Highly recommend! read more

Momo N Curry was listed under the Doordash offers section for waiving the deliver fee on orders over $15. I ordered the veggie momos and the aloo gobi, and they were nice enough to include a free side of rice. The momos were soft with a tasty filling and sauce on the side. Aloo gobi had flavor without being super greasy or spicy. Given that my experiences with Indian food have been hit or miss and never having tried Nepalese food before, I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was. The samosas could use a little more spice, but still tasted great with the mint chutney and tamarind. The Saag Aloo was beyond what I've ever tasted before in my life! The spinach (saag) was spiced and flavored just right and the potatoes were cooked to absolute perfection. The Bindi Masala (okra) was also a favorite, in addition to their naan! Why have I waited so long before coming to try here!!!! I mean I have been missing out! Severely missing out. I chose the chicken steamed momos and an order of samosas. Woah! Woah! Woah! Both were absolutely amazing! The chicken momos are a steamed dumpling similar to potstickers but with Indian spices. It was also served with a super delicious sauce! It said it was supposed to be spicy but I didn't taste that. What I did taste was a bomb combination of flavors! My sister says it was similar to a tikka masala sauce. The samosas were super cripy and jam packed full of flavors! I can't have peas but I picked then out because it was too good not to eat! They came with a herb yogurt sauce and what tasted like a blackberry balsamic jam. A little piece of samosa dipped together in both sauces is just a party in your mouth you want to experience.
