Called in today to order 2 masala dosas and the dessert (rava kesari) which my boyfriend loves but found out they are under new management with a new menu, so they didn't have the dessert. Looking over the menu, it was similar but a little different. They have added more veggie curries which is a plus! The masala dosas were served with a chunkier potato with more ingredients like crispy lentil and red onion. It was a little different than the previous business but still very good. Also the potato was served under the dosa instead of inside. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our dosas and we'll definitely be back! Looking forward to trying the veg curries. read more

so this review is from DoorDash. I got the Thali and some Idly with sambar. The food was tasty I give it a 4.0 and portions were great for the price. The meal was feeling it came with rice chicken and fish lentils and sambar. I like that it wasn't heavy after I digested it and it was spiced very well. The Idlys we're a good size but I like mine a little more springy in the inside. it was more thick and kind of like donuty I guess however the sandbar that they served it with was very very very good and spicy. I really think they do vegetarian dishes pretty well so you might want to check it out if you're into eating plant-based. read more

Delicious. My husband and I stopped here last night maybe 30 minutes before closing. I had a potato dosa, and my husband had the chicken, tiki masala dosa as well as Lamb biryani rice. Everything was flavored very well. Nothing was too spicy. We didn't get sick from this food, which is a miracle. The mango lassi tasted very fresh. I wish they would have some English menus or descriptions of the dishes. I'm familiar with some Indian food, but not everything. It's technically just a to go restaurant, but they do have a small bench too quickly eat food. We work out at the gym nearby and will definitely make this one of our monthly rotations. read more

Ordered and Picked it up on Sunday from their place and it was the Fish Meal and chicken 65 briyani - and both were disappointing.

Food was good. Service was cold and impersonal. There was a TV on the wall next to the cash register. It was turned up to the max volume with music videos on a loop. The cashier could not hear our order even though we were shouting it over the music. We had questions about the menu but couldn't hear the answers, again, because the TV was on max volume. The food is good, but since it's a take out spot--by the time we got back home, the dosa was no longer crispy. I bet it would have tasted better if we could eat it fresh at the restaurant. I might go back for a quick takeout--but will probably order ahead of time on the phone to avoid having to shout my order over their TV, positioned next to the cash register. Food: Masala Dosa was tasty, but very greasy when it doesn't need to be. Idli and Sambar are very good, but sambar is very salty. Green chutney was unnecessarily salty. The vada was very good, crispy, flavorful, etc. Overall, I have had better food at other south indian places in the south bay and east bay. Service: Excellent service, very helpful for the order we had. Ambiance: Nice interior decor, not the best location. Overall, for the value, it's pretty expensive considering the quality of the food. Threes stars is only because of their location and that they only off take out. The store is so small and it looked super basic and uninviting. This is the only restaurant in this area that serves Dosas. I was really exited to go try it. I was disappointed when we got there. I opened the door. looked inside and we said no. I love South Indian food. Dosa is crunchy and thin with a few doughy spots. Exactly how I like it to be. The sauces/soup were great. You can eat it there but it was more like NY pizza style of stand and eat. Ambiance: I would argue this place is more of a to-go only style since I don't really like eating standing up. I got it to-go and it travelled relatively well. I am not a fan of the mango lassi though. It had a bit of a strange flavor that I couldn't describe. Service was homely and great. My family loves dosas, and is used to driving 30+ minutes to get them in Pleasanton-- so glad there's this new spot right in our backyard! We placed a phone order, which was easy and quick and our order was finished by the time we arrived 15 minutes later. We decided to stick with the classics, masala dosa and mango lassis to drink. If you are travelling home for more than 15 minutes, I reccomend putting the dosas in the oven to crisp them up. The dosas were excellent, stuffed with potato filling and the crepe on the outside was perfectly crispy. They also came with a variety of sauces to dip, which were all varied and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at this place. It doesn't look like much- location is a little out of the way, storefront doesn't really stand out, and the place is tiny (strictly to-go, no tables inside). I got their dosa (Chicken tikka masala). It was excellent! The chicken was so flavorful. It was in fairly small pieces, but it was tender with some slight char. The spices they cooked it in really made the filling excellent. It wasn't too spicey, but just enough to make your mouth slightly tingle. The dosa outside was nicely cooked, especially when fresh. I ate half right away, and then half for dinner, reheated in the toasted oven and it was still good. Their dipping sauces are really good too. I've had dosas 2-3 times previously, and this one might be my fav. I wish they had pictures on their menu because I don't know what most of the stuff is, and I bet most non-Indian people wouldn't either. Its not your typical menu with curry, rice, naan, etc. They have lots of dishes you don't find in other Indian restaurants. Overall, the food was super good. It's great to finally have a no nonsense dosa place nearby, and they just opened, so definitely some growing pains and room for improvement. Ordered masala dosa, chicken 65, and a gulab jamun. This is a strictly to go place. The verdict, the masala dosa was Very good! Crispy and chewy shell, with a tasty filling. Unfortunately, the coconut chutney was frozen solid! Sambar was just ok, and the chicken 65 pretty good, but missing something. Will try again in a few weeks when they have had time to work out the wrinkles. read more

We spent $80.00 here and they prioritized the order that came AFTER us. Indian Customer didn't like having to wait for their food. Too bad, No one does but that's just what you do. Absolutely amazing. I tried 3 items everyone was absolutely delicious. Chili golbi: fried cauliflower sweet and spicy, nice balance of fried flavor and chili with veggies. Chili chicken: my go to at other Indian restaurants this did not disappoint. Just enough spice to have a little sweat break out on the brows. Chicken 65 biriyani: Another win. Lean, tender chicken with rice once again perfect balance of flavor and heat. 3 items less than $40.00 enough food for 3-4 people easily. Can't wait to try some of their other dishes. Food was mediocre. Sambar was not authentic. Peanut chutney and onion chutney were ok. They did not include coconut chutney. I think it is because that it had gone bad. I heard them mention to another customer - it makes sense because the restaurant was too warm and they need to refrigerate coconut chutney. Compare it to dosa from Mylapore Express - would prefer to go Mylapore anyday. No seats while we were waiting for takeout - they let another customer eat in and they took the chairs available for people waiting. I found a gem of a place. We ordered dosa, idlis, biryani and gulab jamun. The chicken 65 biryani was spot on...just the way I remember eating Tamil muslim style biryani rice growing up in Chennai. It wasn't greasy, had a home cooked feel to it and was bursting with flavors. My second favorite was the sambar...probably the best I've had in the US to date in a restaurant. Perfectly executed and not tart. Overall, everything was great and very satisfying. I'll be back here again when the cravings strike.
