They have some kind of coffee as a dessert type treat that comes with your meal, it doesn't get any better than this. Appears to be a chain and I've eaten at two other locations other than Concord. After getting my taxes done at H&R Block I was starving and discovered Naan n Curry just down the way in the Salvio Town Square. I walked in and told the associate this was my first time here. I'm not familiar with the names of spices so I asked the worker was it spicy . He said mild . I told him what I'm familiar with and he kindly said he can make the lamb shank in the masala sauce and let me tell you baby ! They understood the assignment. Usually you'd get the lamb shank whole dinning in but when eating to go they pull the meat off the bone . The lamb was so tender cooked just right . Still got the robust flavor of the lamb but swimming in that masala sauce omg . Ofcourse got garlic naan and rice to drown in it . They don't really use an authentic Indian spice foundation in the curries. The lack of cilantro, ginger, fenugreek, and other typical spices is pretty obvious. If you ask for more seasoning they just add red pepper oil. I sent back some Tikka Masala and it returned with the telltale red spots instead of more herbs or spices. It brings people in the door, but ultimately leads to a very disappointing Indian cuisine experience. They also have no table salt or seemingly salt whatsoever in the restaurant which leads to a very bland time. I don't want to have to bring salt into restaurants I go to. read more

Near perfect rating from me. First of all, this Naan in curry near Salvio st is a QSR meaning quick service restaurant- there is no waiter service. You order and pay at the front counter next to the entry door with the menus and prices right in front of you. The vibe is decorated very well as a indo pak cuisine. I loved their chicken tandoori thigh. I didn't like the lamb curry - it seemed like Americanized and an amateur made it. The garlic naan needed to be cut I guess I get to remember to tell them to quarter cut them next time. Free soda refills is a plus , in case you need to go containers , plastic bags and Chinese takeout type foldable box cartons there are plentiful for you to get up and get them yourself. Great location and walkable area just lots of traffic sometimes finding a place to park . Food is ready quick , noticed a lot of pickup orders coming in and out. Fast casual Indian food! Right up my alley! It's a small spot, limited tables, so it can get crowded real quick. Be prepared to sit next to strangers, as the tables are not spaced out. You can easily miss this spot as they have a teensy sign hanging only, but its right next door to Cream, so just look for that. You order and pay right up front before seating yourself and all the plates, drinks, utensils, take out containers, etc are self serve. There are a few parking spots outside but your best bet is going to be the free parking garage across the street. No butter chicken here, but they have a good selection of chicken, seafood, lamb and veggie dishes to choose from. The portions are large and the prices really affordable. Much cheaper than your typical Indian resto. Chicken Tikka Masala - Creamy, not overly sweet, and mildly spiced for the non spicy eaters. A beginner's staple, but a delicious main entree for all. This has chicken boobies in it, so a little dry, but that's the standard from most places. Lamb Curry- This one is spicy! Not unbearable by any means, but has a good heat. If you can't eat spicy, you probably need to stay away from this one. The curry flavor is strong and the lamb in this, MY GOD. Sooooo tender, the fork just cuts through it like butter. Plain Rice- This tastes just like plain rice but it's mixed with something orange. Garlic Naan- They serve this whole so you have to rip it apart with your hands. This is on the thinner, crispier side and about the size of a small pizza. It's not fluffy but it is garlicky, and great to sop up the curries. Mango Lassi- Sweet and creamy, with a nicely balanced mango yogurt taste. Lassi is never served with ice, but it never is as cold as I'd like it to be so that's my only complaint. If you need a to go cup, you'll have to specifically request this one as they don't leave the to go cups out. Samosas- 2 in an order, but slightly smaller than other places, stuffed with peas and potatoes. All chutneys are in squeeze bottles you grab from the front counter so you can serve yourself as much or as little as you want. They come out piping hot and super crispy so be careful biting into these balls of fire. I love dipping this into a tamarind and mint chutney mix. No this isn't the best Indian place on Earth, and by no means is this spot good for big groups. Other than the staff bringing the food to your table, you will not have any additional service. It's nice to see this place here because I used to go to the one in the food court at Serramonte Mall in Daly City. This restaurant is in downtown Concord and is pretty spacious. The time I went, it was very busy and packed, line was out the door and so many to go orders, love that for them!
