    Lamb curry

One of my family's long time favorite over the years. When I'm in the area I always love to stop by for a meal! Our favorite is their broiled lamb chops with a little lemon, onions and tomatoes ! The best in the Bay Area We paired it up with curry, Gobi, rice, garlic naan and papadums and Mango Lassi

I've been here a few times. I imagine navigating the restaurant a few times might feel overwhelming. You have to go to the front and say your order. Then someone delivers it to your table. The restaurant gets busy fast so it can be loud. Except for the overcrowding and having to get your own dishes the food is good most of the time. I will be back.

After getting my taxes done at H&R Block I was starving and discovered Naan n Curry just down the way in the Salvio Town Square. I walked in and told the associate this was my first time here. He gave me a menu and told me to take a seat and come back up to the counter to order my food once I was ready. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, jasmine rice and garlic naan bread. Oh my goodness this was so freaking delicious! The restaurant started getting busy on a Saturday lunch hour so I could tell this was a hopping place to eat. Definitely will be back again to eat here in the future!

Everything goes about average. The most popular dishes, chicken tikka masala, the chicken breast with the wing attached and cooked in Tandoor is good flavor. Best part of this restaurant is that it is not overly spicy. The food lacks flavor, but my keema naan was good. The palak gosht had no flavor. The cashier is a bit rude. The interior is no frills. Many of the tables are set up as communal.

I'm never disappointed when the weather starts to cool down. We decided to try the hot chai, and it absolutely made my day. The warmth and blend of spices felt comforting and filled my soul with happiness. The service is always wonderful, and I love how the aroma of spices fills the air the moment you walk in. This is my go-to place whenever I'm craving curry or tandoori chicken. And of course, you can't leave without ordering the garlic naan--it's a must. The mango lassi is also incredibly delicious and the perfect complement to the meal.

Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken spinach dish, and our table shared other entrees. The chicken was dry and the portions were small (the serving dishes play a portion eye trick) -- you may have more luck with takeout! The onion/tomato lemon salad was beyond plain and could have been dressed better, despite the simple ingredients. The chicken spinach dish is robust and something I would order again if they didn't overcook the chicken. The tikka masala was standard and didn't have much of a kick. Not pictured: Garlic naan was good texture but lacked flavor. The yogurt we were disappointed by. I tried the lamb, and it wasn't overcooked, but not my jam. This spot has offered better in the past; I would come again if I were invited, but not on my own accord.

Love the food here. Today's order featured, Chicken Tikka Masala,Palak Paneer, Onion Naan & rice Tikka Masala sauce could be a meal on it's own with the crusty naan or over rice. Rich yogurt creamy ness, soo good. Naan is fired per order and must be eaten immediately to preserve the texture. Can be ordered with onions, garlic or plain. Paneer is spinach, creme butter & cheese, mild had a little kick & can be augmented with the available sauces, habanero sauce is deadly. Always a busy place,so go at off time's (like today @ 1:30)

Best lamb shank ever. Nihari was served plain but would have been so much better with cilantro, mint and sliced ginger.

I went there twice in one week. Why? Because, in the first visit, I could not help but notice that the quality I had experienced on all prior visits was sadly missing. Even the naan was hard to break and equally hard to chew. All other dishes lacked the taste I had come to expect here. In the second visit, I ordered a few different dishes. None of them tasted as good as I had expected. Ditto for the naan. Not sure what is going on. It's quite disappointing.

Tandoori thigh it's pretty big, very tender perfect for dipping in from chutney -bottles they have on counter

Near perfect rating from me. First of all, this Naan in curry near Salvio st is a QSR meaning quick service restaurant- there is no waiter service. You order and pay at the front counter next to the entry door with the menus and prices right in front of you. The vibe is decorated very well as a indo pak cuisine. I loved their chicken tandoori thigh. I didn't like the lamb curry - it seemed like Americanized and an amateur made it. The garlic naan needed to be cut I guess I get to remember to tell them to quarter cut them next time. Free soda refills is a plus , in case you need to go containers , plastic bags and Chinese takeout type foldable box cartons there are plentiful for you to get up and get them yourself. Great location and walkable area just lots of traffic sometimes finding a place to park . Food is ready quick , noticed a lot of pickup orders coming in and out. Not a place for date night but a place for fast decent Indian food with fair prices and friendly service. Not a lot of wow factor here you need to go to SF for that.

I've been coming here for years, and it continues to be one of my go-to spots every time I'm in the area--especially right after landing at SFO. It's practically tradition at this point. The service is always friendly and efficient, even when the place gets packed (which it often does). Just a heads-up: it's not the best spot for large groups, especially during peak hours. Space is tight, and it fills up quickly. Food-wise, I've consistently enjoyed my meals here. The tandoori chicken has been rock-solid over the years--flavorful, juicy, and always cooked just right. The naan is also perfect every time--warm, fluffy, with that slightly charred edge that makes it irresistible. I do miss how the Chicken Tikka Masala used to taste--it's changed a bit and doesn't quite hit the same anymore. Also had a hiccup when I asked for samosa chaat and was given two plain samosas instead. Apparently, they don't serve samosa chaat, which was disappointing, especially since it's a staple at many similar places. Still, the quality and consistency of most of the dishes keep me coming back. Definitely worth the stop--especially if you're coming in from a long flight and craving something flavorful and comforting.

Even the Russian ones I had in Portland were super interesting and flavorful. And don't get me wrong. The Paneer Tikka Masala and Lamb Korma were tasty enough. We'd been there once, years ago, and couldn't really remember it much. We walked in and waited a solid 5 minutes (or more) for someone to come to the front acknowledge us, and there were others waiting as well. We assumed that they must be very busy, but they only had a few tables of customers. The atmosphere wasn't nice, but it was ok. We didn't expect fine dining vibes. There were no table cloths, and a mint green paint job which matched the color of the napkins. We ordered the "vegetarian feast" and also the butter chicken; we wanted to sample different items and probably bring home leftovers. The first thing that came out was the chai tea, which was fine. After a little wait, the samosas arrived. The samosas were delicious, and we agreed that they were the best we'd ever had. The two sauces they served with the samosas were also very tasty. Unfortunately, that was the last great thing about our experience at Sargam. The wait for the rest of the food was quite long. We weren't in a hurry, but it was definitely longer than should be acceptable at a restaurant. (All in all we were there for about 90 minutes). When the food finally came out, one of the items was missing from the vegetarian feast (the "two naris"). We didn't notice until later that we never got this item. The food's taste was average. Perhaps below average for the Indian food in the Bay Area. The chicken was not very tender but it wasn't terrible. We ordered the food "medium spicy" but there was zero spice. Also, the temperature wasn't as hot as it should be. Most of the items were almost luke warm. The nan wasn't anything special. It wasn't as tasty (or warm) as it is at most places we've been to. At the end, we were supposed to get two desserts, according to the menu's description (photo attached) of the vegetarian feast. They never came. We wrapped up our leftovers and I asked the woman (who seemed to be the manager), who had taken our order and also brought us our check, if we were going to get the desserts. She gave me a horrible look. She looked as if I had said something terrible, and acted like she had no idea what we were talking about. I explained that the dessert was on the menu as part of the "vegetarian feast". We waited about five more minutes and no dessert came out. I decided to pay and leave; we were full anyway. Sargam has "acceptable" food and ambience, long waits, and bad service with missing items. Also, they added a "service fee" of 3.5% to the check (which was not mentioned anywhere on the menu). Weird. I wanted to like it. We won't be back.
