This is a small local Indian restaurant that is very good. It is only take out. I'm bad at remembering names but everything is very good. You can get it as spicy or mild as you like. The service is friendly and helpful. read more

When Mommy originally opened I found the food to be good and it was a nice neighborhood alternative to options in Redmond. However, I've found the quality of food to have steadily declined. My most recent order of Butter Chicken, for example, featured large chewy blocks of chicken that clearly had not simmered long enough, and a sauce which lacked any flavor depth. The garlic naan was too bland. Unfortunately they have now lost my business with this lackluster food...I'll stick to options in Redmond. read more

Pickup was quick and easy since it's more of a residential, drive-up setup. That said, the experience felt a bit awkward, the person looked like he just woke up from a nap and came across unfriendly. He didn't greet nor acknowledged the customer. Food-wise, it was mostly unsatisfying: Garlic naan (6/10): Pretty average and very oily. Paneer tikka masala (0/10): Definitely would not recommend. Very oily, watery, and barely any paneer in the dish. Aloo tikki chaat (5/10): Mediocre. Greasy and mostly just potato, not much else. Dal chicken makhani (7/10): The highlight of the meal. Good flavor and the only dish I actually enjoyed. It was overpriced for the quality which didn't simply justify it. It tasted more like reheated grocery store Indian food than something freshly made. Definitely would not recommend. read more

Delicious every single time. Could be more generous with the paneer amount in tikka masala but flavor is amazing.

We had catered food for a party that we hosted at Bellevue Club. Mommy's Kitchen is the only Indian restaurant that they allow food to be catered from. We had never tried their food before, and so for the party we decided to, below locking on the venue. Every part of the experience, from initial trial to the final food that was delivered on the day of the event was great. We wanted to do all vegetarian, and they offered a lot of variety, some custom for catering orders. Rohit, was very good about accommodating our needs and suggesting what foods would make more sense to have on the menu for the event. They ensured that the spice levels were to our needs. Really good homemade food. Highly recommend giving them a try. We will surely be going back often. read more

Easily my favorite restaurant in Sammamish. Even though you can't eat in the food is so good that eating it at home feels like a special occasion :) Their malai kofta is probably my favorite dish from any restaurant ever. read more

Amazing! Flavorful, perfectly crisp samosas absolutely stuffed with spiced potatoes... smooth as silk palak paneer with plenty of paneer! And tender buttery naan with marvelous texture,...10/10 would recommend!!! read more

Communication is non existent. Even though there are no heat ratings on the food it was so hot I couldn't eat it. My guests couldn't either--super embarrassing. It could be good if not so hot. I tried to talk to them about it, and even emailed, but no response. Ah well. Nice try. read more

A takeout only place for Indian food in Sammamish. We ordered Poori, Aalo Tikki Chaat and Kadhai Chicken. Aalo Tikki Chaat was our favorite. The Aalo tikki were perfectly shaped and soft! Since it is a takeout, the entire chaat was in different components - the Tangy sauce, Green Chilli sauce, Channa Masala and the Aalu Tikki. all components tasted amazing seperately and also when combined as a Chaat. Would have loved to have Yogurt too (the way we like it!) Poori was amazing, this was like homemmade poori. It was soft and tasted perfectly! The Kadhai Chicken was different that we had at other resturant. this was a tangy tomato sauce. The curry was delicous and the chicken was soft! This is on the NE 8th Street and you have plenty of the parking inside the house/resturant! read more

It doesn't get any closer to traditional home cooking than this! The owners of Mommy's Kitchen run this takeout-only spot right out of their modest home located along a main Sammamish street. Just place your order online and choose between pickup or delivery. When we arrived for pickup and rang the doorbell, they had our food all packed up and ready to go. Their menu is considerably large for operating out of their personal kitchen, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian entrees, appetizers and desserts. Regardless of what you choose, it's sure to be cooked with care! + Samosas ($1.99 ea): These savory pastries were fried to an impressive golden brown, filled with spiced potatoes and peas. Dip it in their green chutney for an added zesty bite! Fresh out of the fryer, they were piping hot and delicious. + Chicken Biryani ($14.99): I loved the bold flavors in this dish from the complex blend of spices that give biryani its signature taste. Our container was filled to the brim with rice and a pretty good serving of lean and tender chicken was buried throughout. We kept finding meaty pieces as we dug further into the dish and had enough leftovers for an entire second meal. Beware, this biryani will definitely make your tongue tingle! It was supposed to include a cup of raita according to their ChowNow online ordering site, which would have helped subdue the heat. However, this was missed in our order. + Lamb Curry ($21.99 for large): We enjoyed the super succulent lamb in this entrée that fell apart at the touch of a fork, but unfortunately didn't detect much flavor from spices that make up the curry itself. While they included a reasonable amount of lamb, rice must be purchased separately if needed. It seems like rice or naan bread should be included in any curry order to help sop it all up. + Mango Lassi ($3.99): Yum! This traditional Indian drink of mango, yogurt, milk and rosewater is a must. It's creamy, perfectly sweet and was a great cooling agent to quell the spicy biryani. So good! Thanks to Mommy's Kitchen for bringing North Indian cuisine to Sammamish. Can't wait to visit again for another scrumptious and fulfilling meal! read more

Food is great. Albeit a bit pricey for takeout. No Indian options on the plateau besides them though.

We wanted to try the most convenient Indian food this time and general consensus was, it's adequate. I agree with a previous review, the butter chicken has a different sweet tangy taste than I've had before. The lamb curry was nice but the meat itself was dry and not tender, which isn't going to be as obvious in a curry but it seemed like a cooked from frozen meat vs fresh then cooked. The rice portion is enormous, you could feed the whole family with it. The pekoras were larger like fritters and the two I had both had an undercooked bite in them. I did like the two sauces they came with, with a slight preference for the sweet one. The garlic naan was nice and flavorful. The paratha was not as flaky as I like (Aahaar has spoiled me so). The Raita was a new experience for me with the boondi (I'm guessing), it was a nice experience and my favorite thing in my order. I was curious about other offerings but didn't have any photos to understand the differences on their website. In a pinch I'd try more of their offerings (lots of rice varieties) but generally I'll probably drive farther for my usual faves. read more

Great food, loved it! Ordered from here multiple times, and never had any problems! Definitely will come again!

One of the worst indo Chinese I have eaten . The chef doesn't seem to understand in these dishes he has to put something else than tomato sauce as well . Both the fried rice and chicken chili were drenched in tomato sauce and oil. Completely unedible . Only one place for the food dustbin . read more

The food was delicious and perfect! Presented very nicely. Highly recommend for catering services!

Food is very delicious . Not only that they also take care of community. They donated Dhokla for us and everyone liked it a lot. Very delicious. We recommend it. The taste reminded us authentic taste. Thank you Mommy's Kitchen for generous donation and awesome food. read more

Oily, tasteless and watery food is what you get when you order food from Mommy's Kichen. On complaining we got a justification from the owner that the oil and water seperates during delivery and our food is high quality & tastes good. He also mentioned that he has a high customer following and they cannot satisfy or keep every customer happy. There is a hugee difference in keeping every customer happy and serving unhealthy food dipped in oil with 0 taste. There was zero apologies but just a mention of if u order again we will give u discount. We generally order and try from different tiffin services, never experienced low quality home cooked food. Even one unhappy customer is an issue and there may be several but just not vocal like us. My husband and I were unwell and looking for some home cooked food to feel better, alas it just ended up being a disaster. We dont thing any home based or homed cooked food , especially if they claim from "Mom's kitchen" can have a customer service and food this terrible! This is definitely bulk cooking catering style food service not meant for health watchers like us! read more

Made a 38$ order, it ended up worth 10$ Do not do business with this shitty kitchen, garlic naan are from Costco, and they aren't even garlicky, so sloppy, I have no idea why I decide to try their food really. Next time I should just go to Costco instead read more

Haven't I been food poisoning, I've had rated them with 4 stars :). Their butter chicken is amazing! Naan was soft and at point. Samosas are good size, tasty, and spicy. Still a bit floury for my own taste, but great :) I think that what got me sick was the fried rice. Spicy but nothing too strong. I was the only in my party that got that tiny piece :( read more

Great food and OVER THE TOP customer service. I called about 5-10 min after they closed for lunch (didn't know they closed) and he went ahead and took my order anyway. He was also super friendly when we picked up our order. Ordered a large butter chicken (24oz), a regular paneer tikka masala, and a regular lamb curry. The chicken and paneer were very good but the lamb curry was AMAZING! They were also very organized and everything looked clean! We will definitely return to try some of the other items as well. read more

So disappointed! First time ordering here. Would never come again. Atleast not for curries. Ordered butter chicken and paneer butter masala. I could literally taste Pacifica tomato soup you buy from Safeway. How disappointing! Do you really think this flies with anyone? Naan is basically from Costco, just have some butter on top. Distasteful! read more

I don't know. I tried this place the other day, and was greeted in quite a rushed and rude way. I was told to wait for my order (that's fine). But after waiting for almost an hour for 2 dishes I was almost ready to leave until I finally got my order which ended up being cold by the time I got home. I really hope they see this and try to make it right, because the flavor was good but the experience was not one that I will remember in a good way. read more

Such a cute place! It reminds me of a restaurant I saw on tv about an off-the-beaten-path location in Hawaii where you are being served home-cooked meals... straight from someone's ACTUAL house! We were skeptical because the menu wasn't as extensive as we're used to. But we are complete fans now. We ordered Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Paneer Butter Masala and Aloo Curry with an order of rice and 3 orders of garlic naan... everything was beyond delicious. It fed and filled 2 adults, 1 growing teenager, an active 6-year-old and an active almost 3-year-old with plenty left for another meal or maybe two! This will be our Go To the next time we're in town! read more

Great taste and quantity of food. Butter Chicken is excellent. App makes ordering easy and quick.

Currently the most convenient option for Indian food in Sammamish, Mommy's Kitchen offers authentic North Indian dishes. We've ordered takeout a few times now and tried saag, chana masala, bhatura, and a couple of desserts. Flavors are spot on, but the portions are smaller for the price. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4. read more

There are some dishes I would highly recommend, and others are a hard pass. I have ordered from here many many times, and the ones I order on repeat are the paneer pakora, samosa, anything vegetarian WITHOUT choley, and the chicken dishes. The choley - the 2 times I ordered it, it was not edible. They put way too much tamarind or something to make it sour. Had to toss it. The paneer pakora on the other hand melts in the mouth. The chat dishes are a hard pass, it's quite tasteless but good quality. read more

My expectations were high given the great reviews. You know how yummy garlic Naan is, when it's soft and you can really tell it's more than Just bread? That's not this. This naan was like cardboard - like someone put it in a toaster oven on warm for 3 hours, dried it all out, and then sold it anyway. So disappointing. The chicken tikka and other food we got was good and tasted like it was made fresh. Just such a bummer about the naan. I threw it away after a few bites. Surprised a place that makes such good food would let this dried out stuff go out the door to a customer. I'll try them again someday to see if maybe it was just a bad day or something. I love that we have an Indian place here in Sammamish and hope they can get up their naan game :) Also, if you order online, be aware they never send you confirmation your food is ready. The app you order from says wait for the confirmation before picking up - but the email never arrives. So you just have to go and wait and ask them for your order status. read more

I cannot say enough about how delicious the food is at Mommy's Kitchen. The spices and flavors are amazing. It's the only place I love lamb! Love having dinner from their kitchen! read more

Amazing home style Indian food with great vegan options. Super friendly, good value. A hidden Sammamish gem!

This was one of the most bland tasting panner tikka masala entrees I've ever had. Being the only Indian restaurant in the Sammamish area, I see how this restaurant can provide overpriced, bland food. When I smelled the paneer tikka masala, all I could smell is strong tomato paste, lacking any Indian spice or flavor. When I tasted it, my expectations were very missed and reminded me of the taste of tomato soup, rather than traditional Indian curry. Also, the entree looked like the chef had just added a ton of die color to the curry to make it look unnaturally bright orange. I had to pour all my paneer tikka in my own pot and add spices and flavoring to make it taste somewhat traditional and get rid of the tomato paste flavor. I'm very disappointed with the food. read more

I couldn't think of anything better to say so copied and pasted from my Google review... The only thing I am disappointed in about Mommy's Kitchen is that we did not know about it earlier. The food is excellent! The service is as well. We tried several items and each new taste was as good as the the last. The Samosas were so fresh. Both the red and green sauces were the perfect sweet and spicy. The Butter Chicken melted like butter in our mouths, The lamb in the lamb curry was cooked to perfection and so tender. The Veg Pulao rice dish is a large enough portion that tomorrow night's leftover dinner will be as satisfying as tonight's. Thank you for the best dinner! read more

We hosted an event and got it catered from Mommy's kitchen. Food was delicious and everyone at the party enjoyed it. It was set up just to perfection in the chaffing dishes to keep it warm. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for us, and we are looking forward to hosting many events with Mommy's kitchen. read more

We ordered Aloo Tikki Chaat through DoorDash. The picture was very appetizing, but it turned out to be the most terrible tasting chaat I have ever eaten in my life. I. Overall:Very Rarely does the NAME of a place holds true to their offerings and Mommy's Kitchen is perhaps one of those few places. If You happen to be from India then after the food cooked by Your Grandma or Your Parents, THIS IS THE BEST PLACE for HOME COOKED INDIAN FOOD YOU WILL HAVE on the Eastside !! SERIOUSLY !! II. Disclaimer: I have not been compensated by anyone to write and share this review in any way shape or form III. The Food: As You are aware that this is a Take-Out/Delivery joint only and I have now ordered and had their food at least a dozen times by now - Dahi Bhalla Chaat: The Bhallas are soft, the taste is literally that of a Golgappawala making this in front of You and handing it to You, except this is made with Clean Hands and served Hygienically - Rajma: Good Grief... the Masala of these Rajmaas will take You back to a Desi Dhaba where You were indoctrinated into full on spice and utter deliciousness, oh what an experience - Goat Curry: The gravy to begin with was so wholesome and tasty that I wanted to pour the entire dish in a bucket with a truckload of Basmati Rice and just bathe in it. Every piece of meat was savory and delectable, what a terrific dish - Tawa Roti: It is EXACTLY what they say it os, none of the crap that comes out of plastic posing as Roti - the real deal like the one someone makes at home *The ONLY negative I can think of is that none of the items come with Rice and there's an extra charge for Rice. That's about it read more

I pick up from here often, staff is typically friendly and service does take a while which is totally fine because the food is great! I picked up today and maybe waited for 2 minutes after ringing the bell for service. I greeted the man with a smile and told him to have a great day after he handed me the food. He then stopped me after I started walking away and told me to ring the bell next time so he doesn't have to watch his camera. I told him I did and he continued tell me how I didn't follow the signs and rolled his eyes at me when I responded with confusion. so I apologized and walked away. I really don't appreciate the way I was spoken to especially when there was nothing to complain about in the first place. I waited patiently for my service/food and was quite satisfied until this man spoke to me as if I made his job harder. Will not pick up from here again. Too bad. read more
