We really thought this might be our new Irish pub hang out instead of GA. For us it was just really dark inside with few windows. They do have outdoor seating but it was hot out. And there was no love coming from the bartender who finally came around and got us beers and that was that. Just had one beer and left. The usual beers I have on tap tonight are way off, the Karbach hopadillo is not cold and the pine belt pale ale taste like its old... Must be Lots a bud light drinkers?? It's easy to get to, and parking is rarely an issue, since the Discount Tire across the street has open parking. The times I have been here it has been busy, but not to the point it's impossible to get a drink. Big ass beer nights are always a hit on Thursdays, and really can't get much better than that. The waitresses are on the spot when you are sitting at any one of the tables. I have never seen any problems with any of the people that come here, and pretty much just a place to sit and have a good time with some friends. They have a few large tables for bigger groups. After moving out to the 'burbs finding decent bars was a little hard for us, but this pub is the best place we have found up here. It's laid back, has a nice big patio and the bartenders are friendly. They also have pretty decent drink specials during the week, which is typically when we have gone. The only negative about not being in the city limits is the smoke. You will definitely leave smelling like smoke if you sit inside (so we just sit outside). read more

Showed up for Monday night football. Not that busy found a seat outside at the bar, I was one of 5 people sitting at the bar. Had to get bartenders attention and ask for a drink and a menu. Ordered a cheese burger and draft. The burger ranks as the WORST burger I have ever eaten. Asked for ketchup and mustard and finally after 15 minutes of not getting anything, even a second look from the waitress that I tracked down, I pushed the crap burger away ( after just 3 miserable bites) finished my beer and waited until the bartender showed up again. Paid for the burger and 2 beers, left a $0.25 tip and left. Will NEVER visit this place again! Only got a one because I couldn't figure out how to leave a negative number. For a bar/restaurant that dubs itself Irish, they didn't even have a semblance of Shepards pie on the menu. The closest they had was corned beef on a sandwich. Monday night steak dinner???? If they can't cook previously frozen pre-made burger patties I highly doubt they can cook a steak. read more

Laid pack atmosphere, great service. The bartenders are amazing they make a point to telling you their name. They have a great liquor selection, found many whiskeys I haven't had in a while and at great prices. I noticed many tequilas that I don't see at many other bars. Live music twice a week and a Dj. I was out in Texas to train teachers in STEM 101 curriculum. Having to stay in the Holiday Inn Express is not a negative thing when you have a place like Molly's nearby. The bar is a chain, but the one in Spring is rustic, divey, and just plain cool. With competition like Bikini's down the street and the newly opened (as of 8/6/13) Twin Peaks, the bar has both of them beat! First off, it is a full service bar that allows smoking. Please make your decision to go here based on this. While I am not a smoker, I don't mind smokey bars, I grew up in them (a story for another time). This one is actually made a bit more homey because of this. The selection of beer on tap is second to none in the area, and I tried or asked many for this information. They have many of the local beers to enjoy, and a few old favorites on tap as well. The Monday Steak dinner for $12.00? Forget about it! Amazingly good Rib-eye at next to nothing. You also get two sides for free, but it does cost a dollar more for fresh mushroom and onions. Along with the Asiago cheese smashed potatoes, you had a complete and delicious meal. If you do not go on a Monday, the bar menu is full of delicious choices for 6.00. An incredible price when you consider where you are. Molly's shares a parking lot with the Motel 6, so if you want to stay at cheap digs, but be stumbling distance from the best bar in Spring, then Molly's is your choice to play! read more

One of my favorite places. Not the best deals or anything like that, I just love the atmostphere. It's relaxing and we love the outside deck. Sometimes hard to get a hold of a bartender and the bathrooms could use some attention but overall, we love this place. Thursday is "big ass beer night" and we love that, best deal for us. You can't beat the weekend crawfish or the fun atmosphere. The beer is cold and the porch is great, they also allow dogs. Come here to hang out with friends, family or just have a quick date. Their food is also very good, you can get sandwiches and it is the best crawfish deal in town. Usually have some sort of game on, and the staff is super friendly. By far my favorite bar in the area. Bigger than the one in Conroe with a spacious outdoor area. They have a HUGE selection of beer on tap and they always have seasonal beers on tap year round. Waitstaff is hit or miss but the bartenders are awesome, my favorite is Kristi. Great place to enjoy a variety of beers and watch the game. And you can't beat big ass beer night, huge $3 beers. read more

Been here before and it's been alright, but had a bad experience. I was at the bar with a friend of mine, I ordered a shiner, he had a jack and coke. We were talking, minding our own business, my buddy said something that made me laugh, and for some reason I just started clapping. I noticed the bartender looked up at me and stared at me like she wanted to kill me. A few minutes later, she brought our tab and said nothing to us. We tried to talk to her but she just ignored us, wouldn't even look in our direction. No, we weren't drunk, we were pretty calm, we weren't being loud or obnoxious so not really sure what offended the bartender. If we offended her some how, which I don't know how we did because we did nothing to offend her, kinda think she should have said something to us and we could have cleared it up. Another employee tried to get the manager, which we didn't really want but he insisted. I can only assume the manager didn't really care because he never showed. We figured that maybe she thought I was clapping at her, which I can understand would probably be frustrating, but I was not. If she had simply came over and asked I could have explained the situation. Instead she pretty much kicked us out. I just think it was a little ridiculous how she reacted. Anyways, I won't be going back, there our other places that won't treat decent customers disrespectfully. read more

A nice selection of beers on tap, a friendly wait staff, and a surprisingly non-Woodlands clientele this close to the Woodlands. It must be the center of gravity for all of the retail employees in the Woodlands. There is plenty of parking both in the Molly's lot and across the street at a tire place. Any place with Southern Star Buried Hatchet on tap is an excellent start. A nice place to hang out with a rather pub sort of feel. My one major complaint is the smoking. It seems as though the people separate into chain smokers and chain smokers with one in each hand. I simply cannot remain in the indoor portion because of it (and I am occasionally a smoker myself). What century is this? That said, the covered patio part and the uncovered patio are nice places to hang out and, with outdoor televisions, Sunday nights during football season were great times to stop in at Molly's.... read more

I thought the selection of drinks was good and the atmosphere was nice seeing as it was laid back and social. The BIG downside was the amount of smoke that filled the room. I am for bars allowing smoking if they want, but a small investment in some sort of venting device would go a long way for this bar. The food was okay, and the service was good. Been coming here for years. Always friendly service. Outdoor section is pretty big with both covered and open patio space. The kitchen is always the hidden element though. Any food item I've ordered has been really great. (French dip ranks as the best option) Darts and arcade are inside where you'll also find a good variety of beers on tap. Been hanging out here for over 20 years (not the whole time). Used to make fun of the old guys hanging out there when I was younger...now I am one of them. The service can be spotty (though better in the last year or so), but there are always great drink specials, and you won't beat Big Ass beer night anywhere in Texas. The homerun? The Ruben. Simple and incredibly delicious (must be ordered with Doritos). I WON'T eat a Ruben anywhere else. The smoke is bad, but we sit outside. Much better places in this area. Bartender was sitting at a table when we got there. Didn't get up when we walked in. When she did, she walked around clearing tables before taking our order. Nice place to go after work with friends just for a drink or get-together. They have 'bar food' that's not of the 'frozen then microwaved' variety. Darts and backgammon. Many t.v.s always on sports channels (ESPN, etc.). Friendly bartenders/servers attentive to your empty glasses and pretzel baskets, too! Great visit. Recommend to anybody.
