My wife loved the Berry salad, and I also enjoyed the Bahn Mi Tacos. The Bahn Mi tacos had a Korean style pork on them that was very tender and juicy. The slaw on the side added a good crunch. Then, since there is currently no beer list, try to figure out what is available under somewhat generic tap handles (4 were Fort George handles, but what exactly each was remained a bit of a mystery). For wine, the only white was a jug of cheap Gallo left out of the cooler so it was room temperature. It seems like it's in the verge of closing down, and I truly hope it's not. But upping its game would not be difficult, and that would be welcome.

It was Saturday evening around 615ish, front of house was running around, but when she spotted us, showed us to our table, gave menus, and apologized as it might be a minute before our server would be able to take our orders because it has suddenly gotten busier than expected (large place but only about 1/4 full, but with 2 large groups, one of which was just seated before us) she came back with waters while we looked at the menu. Once our server came she was polite and took our drink order, promising to be back to take our food order. Understandably it took longer than usual to come back, so another man came to take our order. He apologized for the wait and said he would be happy to take our orders. We think he was the manager or possibly owner, really nice gentleman. We ordered the tiger prawns and Brussels sprouts appetizers, I ordered fish n chips, my husband ordered the rib eye with Mac n cheese and our friend ordered the salmon. The Tiger Prawns and Brussels came out first and the tiger prawns were amazing! 5 large tiger prawns, a couple pcs of toasted baguette, and in a type of white wine garlic Alfredo sauce type. The sauce was perfection, as I dipped each bite of prawn and soaked the accompanied bread. The Brussels were just as amazing, fried to have a nice crisp to it, but not soaking in oil, so they must've been fried in the perfect temp oil or something, and the glaze was just right (a lot of places just drench them in glaze as they're sitting there soaked in oil, but not the case here!) The ribeye was cooked very well (medium rare) and the hubby thought the salt level was PERFECT. It was a little salty for me, but I don't like a lot of salt. My husband almost always orders a good steak when available, and he thought it was great. The accompanying side of veggies were great too! Heavy on the garlic, but we love garlic so we thought it was perfect. The fish n chips were good, fries were ok, but not my style. They were more like shoe string fries, but that's their thing and a lot of people like that style. The tartar sauce was surprisingly good, and not just that cheap store bought stuff a lot of places tend to give. Friend with the salmon said it was good and ate it all. The gentleman that took our order forgot to add the fish n chips, but quickly rectified it, apologizing and bringing out some fries for me to munch on as the fish was getting cooked. Had an ample amount of ingredients giving me the sense that they don't skimp with their recipes! The onions were pickled so those of you who avoid onions for the sake of keeping your breath fresh for those around you, Poor Reds has you covered. I came for the BBQ and found myself intrigued by the Fritos Chili Pie. I ordered both. Kept the ribs to a half rack and split them with my son. First, the Fritos Chili Pie. It came in a bowl with a piece of foil between my Fritos Chili Pie and the bowl. I wondered out loud why there was foil here and my son pointed out that it was a Fritos chips bag that had been opened with the inner silver part facing up to hold my Fritos Chili Pie. I guess it is to show that the corn chips are indeed Fritos brand and that there is an entire bag used for this serving. The flavor was pretty good. I like heat so I wish the jalapeños were more plentiful. I finished the entire pie! Second, the St. Louis Ribs with fries. These came on a plate with the standard side of french fries. I love good fries and these were good! They are batter covered fries. No too thin (I hate thin fries) and not steak fries or wedges. They are cooked well and come out crispy without being overly done. The ribs looked fantastic and were very tender. After eating two ribs I was somewhat disappointed. I was expecting more flavorful ribs. The flavor wasn't bad, I was just expecting elevated flavor. Was looking for an OMG moment and instead found myself in a meh shrug. The second issue with the ribs was the apparent age of them and how many days prior they may have been cooked. They weren't BAD as in spoiled. The texture on the ends and edges gave me that impression of being reheated from a previous day. I may return in the next few months and try the ribs again to see if I just got some that aren't the norm. The cocktails fell short of expectations. Even their signature Golden Cadillac fell short. When I came here years ago the drink has a very distinctive flavor profile SERVICE Stellar! Bree was on point, friendly and helpful. She kept us informed and also asked our preferences. An example is if we wanted everything at once, to which I replied salad first. This was appreciated! She kept our table clear of empties and trash. Good service helps when the food falls short. It appeared from what I could see that the staff are like Bree and very good in the area of service. DECOR The updated decor is nice. The bar area has maintained the feel from the previous owners. I haven't been here for over 15 years, which was prior to it's closure by the previous owners. Very pleasant surroundings for our dining experience. CLEANLINESS Yes, it appears very clean.
