Dark, drastic makeup does not suit my face & coloring and makes me look harsh and scary. I need not have worried. Jenny was able to play up my features so I ended up looking fresh and natural. What she did with me paled in comparison to her work on the bride. Now I may be a little biased, but Amanda N. is gorgeous to begin with. But after Jenny worked her magic on her, she was absolutely radiant. Stunning. Glowing. I could go on. Not only was Jenny amazing in the make up department, she was really helpful all the way along. She was personable and professional and helped keep us all calm and happy throughout the day. There wasn't a mini-crisis that she couldn't avert or fix. 3 cheers for Jenny from Creative Edge!

Jenny started at our hotel getting all the brides ready then she came to the ceremony location to do the flower girls "fairy princess" treatment and my make-up. Each girl got a mini touch-up kit and I got a full touch up kit. After pictures she made sure we were touched up and stayed up until the very end of the ceremony. She helped with every aspect of getting ready, it is so cheesy but I felt like a movie star. Not only will she help feel like you're being pampered like a movie star but she helped me look like a movie. I have had makeup done up so much I looked like a stranger when I look in the mirror. She enhanced my features while still keeping my normal natural look. I was beyond happy with Jenny and she is also such a amazing person. I enjoyed just talking to her in my consultation. I would recommend her to any bride and anyone needing a make-up artist.

Once I indicated that I was interested in booking her, she contacted me and we talked about what I wanted (hair and makeup mask) and she quoted me a price. I'd looked at a lot of images on the web and including her portfolio so I just showed her my headdress, she suggested a concept and I agreed. It turned out wonderful and I got compliments all night long. I'll post a picture so you can see. It was great working with her and I'll definitely use her again.

I had an idea of what I wanted but not a specific look in mind, so I went through her portfolio and told her some of the looks I liked, and then she tweaked it to make it my own. I knew Wendy personally before I got engaged, but I booked her for my wedding because of her experience doing makeup for photo shoots. I knew I would look AH-mazing in my wedding photos if she did my makeup and I was right! She is awesome and so easy to work with, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg either. My hair and my makeup both looked perfect, even by the end of the night; even my lipstick was still perfect! I would highly recommend her for any event, whether wedding, photo shoot, costume/special effects makeup - she does it all!

During the trial she did two hair styles, neither was 100% what I wanted, but she planned to do things from each of the styles. She did my airbrush make-up, with false lashes, during the trial as well. After doing a trial with Jessica, I had concerns that my hair would not be exactly like I would want it, which was a true vintage style with 2-3 large pin curls and a high/big swooped bang (think vintage hollywood), but after spending $205 on the trial ($100 hair, $105 make-up), I hesitated to book another stylist. The day of my wedding Jessica arrived on time and did hair and make-up for my mom, sister, younger cousin and myself. Everyone's hair and make-up turned out well and Jessica did do touch-ups prior to leaving. My hairstyle turned out very well and I had many compliments on the vintage look. Jessica nailed it! She did however, leave before helping us place my veil into my style. My mom and sister handled it, but we were disappointed she left without helping; she did practice with it during the trial. We have received our wedding photos and video and I was disappointed to see that in photos taken 1 hour after my hair style was completed, the curl/bobbypin was falling out and sticking off my head at a 90 degree angle (we were not running, in the wind, etc.). This may be minor, but when I paid over $200 for a stylist, I'd expect my hair to hold for that time. Thankfully my mom and sister were able to fix it when I arrived to the ceremony site. Several other photos post-ceremony also have hair in the back falling out of the pins, which was very disappointing. The other's hair and make-up held fairly well throughout, but did have a few pins fall out as well. Overall I was happy the day of (which is what mattered), but disappointed after seeing the photos (which is what we have forever).
