Kelley is the best hair girl ever! I showed her my inspo pic and my dress at my first appointment before my bridal portraits and she absolutely delivered. She was such a joy to sit and talk with too, it was like we weren't even strangers and had been friends since childhood. She made me feel so comfortable the whole time and I cannot say enough great things about her! I will definitely be coming back to her for more help with future portraits! Also - my hair stayed all through dancing on the dance floor plus going out on Rainey after! (I even went down the slide at Unbarlievable and nothing fell ) my husband was incredibly impressed by the end of the night that it was still nearly perfect when he had to take all the Bobby pins out of my hair LOL Rhea!! She is the BEST. I'm not a make up guru or glam girl by any means and I've always struggled as a bridesmaid in past weddings bc I ask for a neutral look and it never turns out how I want or like. I'm a bare minimum make up girly, so I don't enjoy feeling cakey with a full face of makeup. Highly recommend them. They are consummate professionals, taking with good grace the requests for last minute requests for their services. She had so much energy and a big personality which I loved. After sending Lecia a few pictures of makeup and hairstyles I liked, I went to Russ & Co. for my trial run/bridal portrait hair & makeup. I was so happy with the results! She asked me for details about my dress, flowers, colors, etc. so that she could have an idea of what makeup would look best and made me look gorgeous. Thought for sure I was on a roll reading their branded materials that said "owner, Michelle McMillan combined her passion for helping women ..." and "Our MISSION is to help women to celebrate themselves, feel empowered, look beautiful and become the absolute best version of themselves." But then I raised 4 points that werent included in their contract nor written on their website: -What is their policy and avenues to problem-solve when a *stylist* is running late -Can they accommodate client safety in regard to stalking by JUST agreeing not to use real names (I didnt ask for more because I know the importance of sharing one's work as a small business) -If they have established protocols on how to handle ill staff members -Do they believe in and consent to non-violent mediation practices vs litigation (something you'll become familiar reading about in most vendor contracts and even prenup agreements) Their polite and concise response was "we do not negotiate." So when I followed up with asking for informal non-contractual answers, they ghosted. I guess what Im trying to get at is despite having very obviously talented hair and makeup artists they contract out to, MissionStyle House as a matter of principal does not care about your safety, health, or problem-solving... or maybe just didnt read closely what I was asking and sent an automated reply?
