    Saturday afternoon

It was delightful to eat in this casual, lively Colombian restaurant mid-day Saturday. The food was very good and felt first-generation with arepas and national dishes/casseroles mostly served with white rice, plantains, maybe some avocado and there's lots of sausage (the well, sausage shape) being flung into various dishes. I had a bowl o' red beans, fried pork a la chicharrones, white rice, a sausage, avocado a side o' pico de gallo at hand. My friend's fried whole red snapper looked pretty darn good, to which she attested, and the tail end I sampled tasted sweet and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Standard desserts of flan and tres leches cake I am delighted to report were very, very good renditions. No decaf coffee so I was offered decaf teat but oops it's just a regular Lipton bag which I pointed out to response but no action on the part of server to get me said promised decaf tea bag. Alas it was inconsequential; it's lackadaisical and I just want to go with that flow. Service was friendly and exuberant, if cheerily neglectful. It was a treat and I will definitely pop in when I can for good food, good hospitality and darn good arepas . . . and next time for me: fried whole red snapper! And empenadas look pretty good too . . . .

    Small location but great overall.

This place is insanely addicting. I haven't had anything from here that wasn't out of this world delicious. Service is great, if you don't speak Spanish no worries most waiters speak English perfectly. From the music to the decorations you can feel like you been to Colombia. I bring my family here quite often and leave full with a huge smile on my face. The prices are good and you get a tremendous amount of food for it. The location isn't in the greatest of areas and parking is street parking only.

Run, don't walk!! Great Colombian food! Awesome drinks! Fantastic service. Love the outdoor seating option as well. I come here for the lunch specials, but I came for happy hour the other day and had such a good time. Drinks were on point and my food was great. Coming here definitely gives tropical vacation vibes and I absolutely love that for Albany.

After trying a Peruvian empanada restaurant recently, we decided to give the Columbian menu a try. The cuisines were very different. It may, however, be that what I chose was just not as spicy as the other venue. My stewed chicken was quite succulent and came with a side salad, beans and rice. As per my usual, I did take half of it home. SO and I shared a couple of empanadas as appetizers. Delicious. It's a bright, busy venue with very nice wait staff. Parking is on the street.

A perfectly executed takeout order. No styrofoam, great packaging, still warm when we came home. Everything was separated to prevent a soggy mess. Service was great, both on the phone, and in person. I frequently stop by Columbian restaurants, and have the Bandeja Paisa. It's the perfect meal, great ratio of fat/carbs/protein, filling, and with great flavor. Having the restaurant locally allows me to try other dishes, since the leftovers can go in the fridge. It's getting bookmarked since it's a great option for both eating in (once allowed) and take out/delivery.

The manager who has a bad attitude yet still kinda patient.

Food is amazing but the manager has a bit of an attitude and very little patience for those who are non Hispanic. How good the food is trumps his bad attitude and you can tell from his anger that a lot of the waiters are use to his domineering stance with his business. Amazing food but anger issues need to be checked.

Ahhh this place is amazing!! I went with my family last weekend and had to go back and bring all of my friends. Growing up in a Colombian household, all of these dishes reminded me of being a kid again and eating my grandma's delicious home cooked meals. I opted for the classic Bandeja Paisa, so I was able to taste a little bit of everything. Make sure to try the Guayaba juice with milk!! Even though it's a little pricey, the huge portions, home style cooking, and excellent service make up for every penny. I'll definitely be a regular from now on.

There is nothing special about the food. The beans are especially tasteless. Try Spanish food at another restaurant.

The restaurant is pleasant and has a basic indoor and outdoor seating area. I was the only person who ate there, although they seemed to have a steady takeout business. I ordered a Small Supreme pizza in advance and it was ready and hot on time. I'm not sure if there is a specific Guatemalan pizza style, or if this Aurora's is just a pizza place run by people with a Guatemalan cooking background. The crust was doughier and chewier than most pizzas I eat in Connecticut. Supreme pizzas at most CT pizzerias tend to have very similar toppings. Aurora's had a lot more going on though. In addition to some common ingredients like pepperoni and peppers, Aurora's had ham, jalapeños and a sausage type that was maybe sliced chorizo? The pizza was pretty good. There was maybe a bit too much going on topping-wise and the crust was chewier than I prefer, but Aurora's would be good to try if you like a chewy pizza. They also had some Guatemalan meal options. I would go way that way when I visit next time. Four stars
