Food might have been good...but it was served cold....Well, about 2 degrees above cold. RIDICULOUS (and probably not legal)...Took toooo long too...and not busy...My wife thought it sat back there till cold before we got it...Rude lady taking our order too (get another job...yiu clearly hate this)....We spent $48 dollars!!! On two meals, a coke and a water, and a big tip....You owe us our full tip back...Heck, you owe us all $48 dollars back.....See ya! read more

Would have to say that this is some of the best Mexican food I've had in Portland. The fact that it comes out of a food cart is even better. Alberta street is full of incredible food options. I'd put Mole Mole towards the top of your list. Authentic and tasty Mexican food that keeps you coming back for more. We've tried the Alambre, the Portobello Burrito, Quesadilla, and Chips w/salsa. Incredibly fresh ingredients and the plates are bursting with flavor. Dishes even come out on a beautiful Mole Mole handmade plate. A very nice touch. We highly recommend and plan to keep coming back for more!! read more

Mole was ok. The chicken was dry and overcooked. This is a food cart. Seating was a few picnic tables. There was a small brewery next door and they allowed us to bring our food in to eat which made the experience nicer. read more

This is a 10/10. The Birria flautas were over the top good. The to-go dish looked like it was crafted by an artist and architect with the colors and balance and structure of the thing I mean, I almost forgot this was made in a deep fryer. The freshness of the garnishes and the cheeses and pico and avo and salsa I mean goodness... I can't say enough about how excellent the food quality was. When it's this good, you forget that service counts, and these guys served me as probably the last guest of the night. Imagine how good they are in the middle of dinner. Best Mexican cart on Alberta. Taco about a great, little food truck! Wanted a little snack while strolling through the neighborhood. Tacos came to mins. Though I do not regret getting tacos, I do regret not trying their mole.. which as the name implies, is their specialty! I got a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Tacos were $3-4 each, so pretty affordable. They were a decent size and very tasty, too! We had already eaten lunch at a nearby restaurant, but would have opted to dine at Mole Mole if we had seen it sooner! They have a small dining area shared by other food trucks. Love the concept and would love to see more of these in other states! read more

Stopped by for some tacos today, and it was great. We had chicken and al pastor. The al pastor was a slight bit fatty for my taste, but cooked well and had nice flavor. It had pineapple which was nicely balanced. The pollo (chicken) tacos were quite good. Service was good. They take cards via a square terminal that is fast, and they communicated status well with the few people who were waiting. The food was fast (maybe about 5 minutes), and they served the tacos with a cute little sticker identifying each. I'll definitely be back again. read more

Alright... time for another review after eating at this excellent place on this pleasant Saturday evening! Visiting Portland for the weekend and staying with my friend and he recommended we try this place, about a 30 minute bus ride to the 22nd and Food Carts. Wait time to order wasn't too bad... about 10-15 minutes. Seemed like the people in front of us were a little indecisive with their food orders...odd move to replace beans for queso man... The food took about 15-20 minutes which was really quick! Food was plated on these decorate plates as pictured! I ordered the "tres amigos burrito" and a mango aqua fresca, both of which were delicious. Will definitely came back here again; definitely some of the best Mexican i've had in the PNW! It's always a matter of taste. If you like your mole on the sweet side (not sweet and spicy, but simply sweet), Mole Mole is the place for you. If not.... During our recent visit we tried the Mole Mole special -- a trio of enchiladas topped with a sweet mole negra, an overly sweet beet and hibiscus flower mole rosa, and a vegetal mole verde. Of the three, the green mole stood out as the best. The others were single note -- sweet moles that were merely sweet, not sweet spicy. One of our party said the red mole was so sweet it tasted like candy. We also had the portobello quesadilla and liked the beans. Overall disappointing, particularly given all the hype. read more

Decided to eschew any of the specials or the birria (as tempting as that is, I've had that numerous times from places before) and go straight for the first item on the menu: the mole enchiladas. It is served with rice and beans so it's the perfect plate of food. I ordered mine with chicken, as I feel that is the most common protein for mole. The enchiladas were very tasty. The mole was perfect. They were also very pretty with edible flowers on top. At $10.50, I felt it was a total bargain too. Recommended. read more

Hands down the best Spanish food ever! The second best mole I have had! The even have multiple flavors of mole and recommend the mole special enchiladas plate where you can taste all the flavors. We also had the salmon mole Rosa plate and it was good but would definitely prefer the enchilada plate. The empanada plate was also great. Definitely overrated. First - the customer service was terrible. The middle aged woman who takes the orders was incredibly rude, it was almost as if she didn't want us there. We waited 20+ minutes for THREE tacos. I ordered 1 pollo asado, 1 camaron, and one birria taco. We did not get a birria taco, they gave me carne asada. Either Portland doesn't know what a birria taco is or they thought we didn't. I do not recommend going, sub par Mexican food with too much attitude. read more

I have been to both locations now and I'm 100% satisfied with the food that I got. One of my favorite Mexican dishes is a Chile chicken Verde so that's what I tried at both. Oh man, it exceeded expectations. The beans and rice that accompany the enchiladas are delicious, as well. The Verde sauce is essentially perfect (to my taste buds). The enchilada order is 2 full meals for me, also. My spouse has had the 3 mole enchiladas and reported that they were really good (I wasn't on that trip, so all I got was a beautiful photo full of amazing colors of the moles). To be honest, I like the chicken Chile Verde so much that I'm not sure I'd ever order anything else because I might be disappointed. So....maybe I'll try some other things when I go with someone who lets me taste what they got. I've already found my solid choice there, I see no need to stray. read more

This spot is an absolute neighborhood gem. Dangerous that it's within walking distance for us. Excellent food. Wonderful painted ceramic plates if you dine in the generous covered (and heated) outdoor area of this food pod. Call in your order ahead of time -- look for online pictures of the menu. We really like the portobello burrito, and things with the mole sauce. I actually used to live across the street from this food cart pod on 23rd on Alberta and there was never anything really that enticing that peaked my interest as far as being a food connoisseur. So driving by today I saw Mole Mole ... I thought what the hell, let me try their mole, see if it's any good! Walking up I got a good wiff of something that smelled so fantastic I was like Wow, now I gotta try it! I read the menu and proceeded to create my own chicken Mole burrito by adding in a chili Relano and taking out the rice. Look the mole was so rich, so chocolatey and so nutty sweet you could tell that love was cooked into their secret sauce... I will be back for sure and the horchata is fantastic too! read more
