Love this spot! Great vibes and delicious food + presentation. Service was very friendly & there's a hand washing station near the order window. Can't really beat it. Portland is lucky to have such a cute spot like this one.

Wow. Wow. WOW!!! After soaking in the heated pool at Kennedy School my physique needed calories and a warm, thicc burrito in the wildest way. The 3 meat burrito here, w the 3 different sauces MIGHT be the Portland burrito GOAT. How is this place never busy when I go? TF is wrong with yall ??? Every bite gave me the satisfaction of a perfect Mission burrito in San Francisco. The meat quality and seasoning is straight FIRE somebody call the fire dept this shi is out of control delicious. How the hell am I not coming here at least monthly??? Wife got her mole and tinga tacos, loves both but is especially about the mole, said it's like abuela made it. There are aspects where modern Portland feels like the best parts of 90's SF and Berkeley and Mole Mole in instrumental is giving me a little bit of my youth back here in the PNW. Bro- what are you doing go there now

Great menu and service is super quick. It is part of the 23rd food carts so there is also a lot of seating both covered and in the sun.

Oh me oh my! First time to PDX and Mole Mole! Was at the top of the Eater reds list and it did not disappoint. This may have been the very best plate of Mexican food I've ever had, anywhere, anytime. I'm on a hunt for mole and wow... this mole was perfection on a plate. I loved all three! Enjoyed a beer with my meal next door at Baerlic.

Ambiance: 7/10 eclectic. Service: 6/10 kind people Food: 7/10 very good for a reasonable price. $30 total for a burrito, mole enchiladas and salsa Chips & Salsa 7.5/10 I got seconds bc it was so good. Perfect spice. Good portions. Enchiladas: 7/10 Pink: earthy & sweet. Beautiful color from the beets. Brown: chocolate-y and sweet. Green: nutty from pistachios. Really unique flavors I'd never tried before. Beautiful colors and great way to try unique foods like mole Burrito: 7/10 great burrito, big portion, reasonable price. Delicious and filling. Plates: just look at the plates we were using. They were beautiful. I'm sure it made the food taste better being served in this.

In Portland for over a week to visit and wanted to hit a few food carts in the process. I heard a lot about this place and checked it out early in the visit. It did not disappoint! My wife had tacos and I had wet mole burrito. It was so good! Really, do not miss this cart.

So good! So much to offer and they are fast. Service was friendly and there is some benches to sit at to enjoy your food. I loved the vibe of the area and there's nearby thrift stores to check out as well if you'd like!

    Nachos and a cold beer

Stopped by for a quick lunch on the weekend. As part of a food cart pod with a lot of cover seating, this place serves up a great plate of nachos with crisp chips and fresh toppings. I will be back to try their other featured dishes. The vibe is relaxed but vibrant as part of the Alberta Art district. This is also located next to the Baerlic Brewing which is great for grabbing a cold microbrew with the meal. All in all, Mole Mole hits the mark for quality food, friendly service, and an easygoing atmosphere

$10 for a carnitas burrito is a good deal in my book. Lots of meat in it as I felt satisfied after I finished it. I also got an horchata to go along with the burrito and I'm glad it wasn't overly sweet.

Love this place. Came here on a beautiful Monday afternoon for lunch and the Tres Mole Enchilada plate hit the spot. The mole is packed with rich flavor and the service was very fast. One of my go to spot for lunch or dinner. A must try if you are in the Alberta Arts area.

I got the tres enchiladas so that I could try the pink, brown and green mole sauces. The pink was pretty weak and I didn't really love it. Similar with the green. Both also felt underseasoned. The brown one I liked and would order again, although I've also had better brown mole elsewhere. For each of the enchiladas I got carne asada. It wasn't very good. Very small bites of meat, somewhat dried out, no intramuscular fat, probably a very cheap cut of meat. The rice really stood out as excellent to me though. Nice individual grains, nicely seasoned, good amount of bite to it, very well done. I also got two tacos: one chorizo and one carnitas. The tacos themselves were pretty good. Seemed pretty fresh and stuff. Which is possibly the most important part of a taco to me, so yeah, that was pretty solid. Each of the meats were a little dry though. It also could have used some sauce. For desert I got a caramel churro. It wasn't good. It kinda just tasted like a homogeneous, overly starchy, bland thing. A little oily too. The brown mole was good and so was the rice, so I think I'd stop by to order that again if I were in the area. With carnitas as my meat; it was better than the carne asada. I wouldn't get the asada again.

The regular corn tortillas were excellent, though, so it was not a bad mistake to make. I also had jamaica to drink and let me tell you... it was not made from a mix! It was dark, thirst-quenching, and perfectly made. Most jamaica is super sweet - this was not! I love the flavor of real hibiscus and this did not disappoint. My friends had chile relleno bowls and birria tacos, all of which was excellent. Their watermelon margaritas were tasty and refreshing! Our orders were taken by a helpful person at the cash register and the food was served quickly by a friendly server. The inside and outside areas were clean and tidy, with plenty of seating available at the outside tables. The outdoor seating area is under cover making it a good choice for both summer & winter dining. Definitely going on my "have to go back and try something else" list!

We decided to do the $45 lunch deal where we let them feed us and basically got a 10 course lunch (totally worth it)! Since we tried so many things, some courses were a miss and some were a big hit. It was really fun! Some of my favorites were the arroz con frijoles, yes the rice and beans! They are so flavorful and served with house made tortillas. I think my favorite thing was the tostada topped with white beans, cabbage, and roasted corn - insane! I also loved the Huarache with adobo squash and I'm not normally into smokey things, but everything just worked together. I wasn't the biggest fan of one of the moles we were served, but there was a sweeter one that was paired with eggplant that I couldn't stop eating. We ended the meal with 2 desserts and 1 came with a candle for our friend, which is always such a lovely gesture. The fried concha was incredible!! GET IT! Ours had ground cherries and a lime whipped cream and I would come back just for that. This is definitely a spot that's worth the tasting menu! For the amount of food and the overall experience, I thought it was a great way to experience the restaurant. Ángel took care of us and made the meal even more memorable by telling us the story and inspiration behind each dish as it came out. It made the tasting feel like much more than just trying a bunch of different dishes. I'm definitely a carnivore and usually feel like a meal needs some kind of meat, but surprisingly, my favorite dish was the mole with eggplant and rice. The mole was delicious, and I genuinely didn't miss having meat on the plate. I would happily order that dish again exactly as it was. The tomates en salsa arabe were another standout. I really enjoyed how fresh the dish tasted, especially with the seasonal tomatoes they were using. I also had the carnitas tacos, which had great flavor and texture. For dessert, we had what was essentially a fried concha, and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet. It had just the right amount of sweetness for me and was a great way to finish the meal. Overall, I highly recommend doing the full tasting menu at República. For around $40 per person, you get to experience the entire menu, and if you're lucky enough to have Ángel there to walk you through the stories and concepts behind the dishes, it makes the experience that much better.

Reader, there is something about that bowl that makes it almost impossible to order something else. I did those two times, but once I had tasted the Cart Bowl with their chicken and avocado, it was game over. For a while (3 years?), I came here with a friend every Thursday evening. Every Thursday I had the bowl. I never got tired of it. The way they cook their meat, the flavors of all the ingredients when combined, always tastes perfect. I have had their margaritas.
