Not too firm (as requested) but enough that it worked through some shoulder pain I was having. She was kind, respectful, yet personable and friendly. I would absolutely request her again. The ONLY thing I would say is, there is a price difference between weekend and weekdays that my husband nor I caught... but that would not dissuade me from coming back. The front desk manager did a fantastic job of explaining how it would go. 60mins of body sculpting with the wood tools and cupping then 30mins of infrared sauna (in a different room). The massage therapist was wonderful. I asked her to relieve the tension in my neck before she started the thigh body sculpt. I nearly melted on the table when she used the hot stones on my back it felt so great. The body sculpting was awesome, left no bruising and I could see a difference when I got home. After parking, enter through the rear entrance, then on the first floor turn left at the elevators and walk to the end of the hallway to Suite 125. One thing to note: there are no restrooms on the first floor. The second-floor restroom requires a key, while the fourth-floor restroom does not. Check-in was easy, and Jose at the front desk was very friendly. The spa offers Thai, Swedish, deep tissue, and aromatherapy massages. The rooms were cozy with dim lighting and relaxing music. I especially appreciated the large massage tables since I'm 6'4" and could actually fit comfortably without my feet hanging off. The tables also have face openings for lying face down. My therapist, Glenda, gave good, strong pressure during the deep tissue portions of the massage, exactly what I wanted. My wife's therapist was Alex. The therapists communicated throughout the session about pressure and positioning. The studio has 3 rooms total; 2 for couples and 1 with a single bed. The only thing I'd mention is that the massage incorporated quite a bit of Thai-style stretching, including pulling, twisting, and leg stretches, which I didn't like. I was expecting a traditional full deep tissue session rather than a mix of deep tissue and stretching. My wife also noted it was her first massage ever where a therapist had her lie on her side for part of the treatment, which was different from previous massages she's had. They also offer a package of three deep tissue sessions for $180, matching the Groupon rate. Overall, the staff were friendly, the massage was good, and I'd return again.

Shortly afterward, I received a text confirmation for a Thai combo massage instead of the deep tissue massage I booked. I called back immediately, and Jose assured me the reservation was corrected. On the day of the appointment, we arrived about 10 minutes early. There is free parking available in the back, and the massage studio is a very small space located at the corner of the building with only three treatment rooms. The massage lasted about 55 minutes total with quite a lot of stretching. I was told to face up, down and even on my sides. The masseuse only used a hand towel to cover while I was turning. Despite being with my husband's presence, it felt awkward because the towel was too small and there was lots of time wasted on repositioning. We asked Jose about the stretching because it seemed more like a Thai massage than a deep tissue session. Due to language barrier, I understood that they incorporate stretching into their deep tissue massages as part of their technique. He also mentioned that if clients do not want stretching, they should let the therapist know beforehand. Since this was our first visit on deep tissue, we had no way of knowing that stretching would be such a large component of the massage. This is definitely not the typical Western deep tissue masaage that I have received in the past two decades and I typically get at least one massage weekly. My husband only got some leg stretches and he didn't need to move to the sides at all. Will I be back? Due to the close proximity, I would give this place a second chance but I will get a new therapist other than Alex.

I honestly went on Monday and I'm thankful that I did. Things that are complimentary are: access to lockers, showers, steam room, jacuzzi, cooling pool, and out jacuzzis. Plus there are lounging spots upstairs where the massages take place. They also give complimentary tea, coffee, fruit, cookies, and trail mix. Plus refreshing infused water. I pre booked a 50 min trellis massage. Kendal gave the best massage I ever had, I swear! Although I will say there is definitely discrepancy with time as they add in them walking you to the room, pre conversation, undressing, all of that into it. So ultimately it can vary from 35-40 mins which is a bit meh for the cost of $200 + 23% mandatory gratuity (not including tip). I most definitely would come back for another massage with Kendal. Yet if you're coming solo bring headphones because sometimes there will be couples or groups talking in the inside cooling pool area and it can sound quite loud since it's closed in.

I love all of the amenities. They provided coffee, tea, short bread cookies, fruits and nuts and of course water. My masseuse was great. I got the pressure exactly how I like it. I love the choice of oils I can use for my massage. I love the smell and esp bc it's the veranda natura bisse and it's all natural. When I was done with my massage, I went to the pool outside to enjoy myself. One pool was hotter than the other. I sat under the trellis and eventually ordered lunch. I didn't think lunch was going to be good but it was amazing. I've had lunch here years ago when I stayed on the Houstonian hotel and I ordered room service. I ordered salmon both times and it's still good years later. Everyone here was great. The massages do include the tip and I believe it's like 20-25%. Also the food that I ordered at the pool came with a service charge as well. Now the people at the pool were wonderful. They made sure we have water always. U can also refill the water yourself but they do come around with a tray with cups of cold water. So the pools outside are heated and the pool inside is cold. There is also a jacuzzi which is small. Northwest Freeway and near the Heights. The office and spa were very clean and well decorated. My derma plane facial was absolutely fantastic. My skin feels great and LUIS also did extractions as well as put me under an LED light to help with the inflammation. I liked it so much that I booked another one. I highly recommend trying this place. I have had trouble finding people who are able to derma plane correctly and use the correct instruments in Houston so this was a find.
