Massage was good, the facilities are very nice. However, I docked off a few stars because in the meditation/relaxation room, there were these 2 ladies who were talking very loud for a very long time. I was trying to read and relax and I could hear their whole conversation and it was annoying. I did not have a relaxing spa day this time, and I like to pamper myself and unwind once in a while. Even the person who worked there came by and talked with them for a while and did not have the sense to ask them to speak quietly. I have been to some nice hotel spas and guests usually talk quietly or there is a sign that says to keep conversation to a low volume. I did complain to management, so will see if it happens again. read more

I took my guy here for a MANi/Pedi for his birthday, and he absolutely loved it! The staff was very professional and friendly. Nicole did a great job, and we are definitely booking again. Awesome experience! Came here for the couple's massage package for my fiance's birthday, included massage & wine bath. The masseuses were excellent (I wish we remembered their names!!), very skilled & professional. Amenities were on point, the place felt clean, a general resort-comfort vibe. We enjoyed the wine bath, and hanging out in their lounge area as well--mimosas with finger food was absolutely perfect after massage. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in a day of pampering. read more

This spa experience was a birthday present. When I called ahead (a little confused as to how to find them) they were friendly and explained I could simply valet and they would give me a certificate to make the valet free when I got in. (Also would like to mention that the valet people were friendly and hilarious, walking me down to Mokara). Once I got there they showed me to my locker and gave me my robe and sandals in the correct shoe size. And OMG those robes. If a tempur-pedic mattress could be transformed into a robe, I imagine the robes at Mokara would be the end result. Finally ANNIE was my massage therapist and she provided the best massage I've ever had! She was also very friendly and communicative. She needs a raise ;) Tipped her more than the 20% gratuity automatically added in and would be happy to do it again. read more

I absolutely loved my experience at Mokara Spa today. They were extremely attentive and I could tell they cared about making my experience memorable and relaxing. When they found out I was there for my birthday, they gave me a little gift with a signed gift card from the staff. Annie was my amazing masseuse who gave me one of the best massages of my life. I also got to work with Linda who was very sweet. Simone is the staff member that I worked with and I really appreciated how professional and attentive she was. A wonderful birthday treat for my wife and her friend. Incredibly easy to schedule and pay over the phone. They went in for facials, manicure, and pedicure. My wife came out incredibly excited about her tailored facial experience with Nicole and was also super relaxed from the overall environment. There was a mishap with her manicure as her nails were not completely dry and the paint began to run. Though at first notice she was called back in for a redo. They were short on time so they didn't get to take advantage of all the amenities but they can't wait to go back again to do just that. Well done Mokara Spa! read more

This is a cute spa and I guess thats why it gets two stars. I had a facial, which wasn't relaxing, but painful. Usually from zillions of facials I've had, the facialist skipped the neck area, which should be a part of a facial. I told her it was painful, and all she did was apologized. My face looked worse compared to what it was. I could tell there were places on my face I bleed. The massage was also crappy. The massage felt as if I'm in the shower just rubbing my body. I usually feel relaxed after a massage, but it wasn't the case here. All night, I dealt with backaches and kept waking up. This probably occurred, because the massage therapist massaged over my spine, which I've never had anyone massage over my spine instead next to it. Definitely, won't be going back to this place. I am addicted to massages, but for the amount i paid, the service, etc nothing was great but the atmosphere. The restrooms were out of order so we had to walk inside the hotel in a robe, which was slightly embarrassing since there was multiple events going on. The backroom was slightly loud for usual upscale spas so if you're looking for a quitter spot don't do it on a weekend. The backroom is a mix for both genders, which I didn't like, but this would be great for couples. The backroom had multiple drinks and snacks. When I arrived to the backroom, they had everything, but the glasses wasn't up there. There should of been a person in the backroom to guide the first timers and make sure everything is there if any clients need anything. Also, my services was for about 2 hours, but I didn't get the full 2 hour service. They were 20+ minutes behind and no one informed me, and I had to go up to find out the status of my appointment. In any business, if someone is running late, it's important to inform the clients that versus clients going up to find out. I'm not in the business field, but I know the basics of good service. They also allow clients to use the pool, which is gorgeous. Overall, the pool, backroom, locker room is well made and beautiful, but the massage, facial, and service wasn't the greatest. read more

Very disappointing. I booked 2 massages for myself and my husband for our anniversary. We got there and were not on the schedule and the manager of the spa that day didn't offer any other times until I complained. First of all I do not understand how Pitra who booked our appointments did not get us on the schedule because she repeated the time back to me, she repeated the fact that my husband was to have a deep tissue massage and a swedish for myself, she told me the cancellation policy was 6 hours in order not to be charged, she took my credit card information and told me how much it would be exactly with the 20% extra that they automatically include for gratuity. So the fact that we were not on the schedule was dumbfounding. The manager on duty that day did eventually find a time for us but they were not at the same time and one had to wait on the other 45 min. She did tell us that she would give us a discount but didn't come forth with how much of a discount until I asked and she told me 50%. Later in our visit she told me we would not be charged for the services at all. On Monday I called to speak to the Spa Manager who was not in and Pitra answered the phone. When I asked her what happened, especially what happened with my credit card information she took, she said she had told me they did not have the time available for our massages. A TOTAL FABRICATION!!! I asked to speak to the manager on duty and asked her to have Laura Latronico, the Spa Director call me back and I also talked to Connie, the Executive Asst of the General Manager and Connie heard my story, apologized and said she would have Laura, the Spa Manager call me back. I have to this date not heard from the Spa Manager. Terrible customer service all around!!! Will not go back! I read the other reviews about the whirlpool being too small and I wouldn't even call it a whirlpool since the water was not hot and barely any circulation of the water with 2 small jets. And one of the so called "Swiss Showers" I went into didn't work and the other the shower gel dispenser didn't work. I see this in a review from 2013 and the soap dispensers still don't work. I told one of the attendants about that problem and she knew it already and said "she thought the dispensers were on order". From 2013??? read more
