They have Saturday appointments too so this is huge. Appointments can be made online, by phone, and once you checkout for the office visit. Seamless process and I get an email and text reminders also. Checkin process is easy and the wait time is minimal. The office is clean and my information is confirmed for each visit. Dr. Powell is extremely knowledgeable, very nice, and provides many treatment options. All my questions are answered. And the treatments have been actually successful compared to an outside clinic prior dermatologist I had seen. I'm glad I researched and found an amazing physician. read more

Dr Adler, I would put a 0 if I could!!! I was CHARGED $200.00 for NOTHING!! I didn't receive any services, and this is going to be a dispute b/c I was there for literally 3-5 minutes, (walking in & out). All social media, the BBB and news stations will see and hear my complaint and proof of time arrival and departure. I hope you understand and NO hard feelings. When I wrote out the online appointment information, you and your staff should let me know at the very beginning, You don't do these services! You don't go to a gynecologist for an earache. I've worked at Dr. Stobaugh's office for years and he's was an Oral Surgeon. I would tell my patients, (because I have morals and am a human), that if they had an appointment for braces, they needed to see another Dr., I wouldn't ROB them and waist their time coming in for the Dr. to charge them for a consultation, which I told was free. read more

The medical treatment was okay but dealing with insurance and SANOVA Dermatology/ SBA Dermatology/ Suzanne Bruce & Associates is terrible. They are going through a "billing, coding" change and clients are suffering from their mistakes. I spoke with Melanie and she provides all kind of excuses and continues to state the research department is looking into the matter. Just because they cannot code procedures correctly I am out hundreds of dollars. Even on a claim I can show they over billed they say they are holding the money against the previous service. First time getting a mole removed and screened. Everything was fine till a year later I get a bill from where they sent for lab.. I was never informed that I was going to be billed by a third-party, so long after I almost forgot what for. When I called to get information, they said they usually don't tell people that they're going to get billed. I find this very odd since I did pay a hefty bill just to get something cut off that took two minutes, and I did ask what I should expect next with healing and billing (since I don't have insurance) When I called I asked if I was supposed to just assume that I was gonna get a second bill, the lady pretty much said yes ... I'm big on transparency, so the lack of remorse, or want to inform people in the future felt she should have just told me "sucks to suck".. disappointed read more

My wife did micro-needling today at SBA Dermatology. That procedure required numbing but the numbing was not working. She raised her concern before the actual procedure but Michelle, who performed the numbing, insisted this was normal. During the procedure, she felt tremendous pain that tears came out from her eyes. She had done Fraxel in another clinic before and her numbing experience was a charm and she did not feel any pain during the procedure. Therefore something was clearly wrong and we decided to ask for an investigation. During after-care consultation, she raised such concern to Cassie, an aesthetic consultant. However, before I finished talking, Cassie interrupted me and claimed that this was because my wife was having a period and so she was more sensitive. She also insisted that feeling pressure was normal. Neither of her arguments makes sense. Neither Michelle nor Cassie cared about my wife's well-being. Even worse, Cassie tried to deny the problem in numbling and blamed that to my wife's period. I would not recommend this place based on my wife's experience today. Ladies and Gentlemen, please reconsider this place before you spend money to preserve and improve your beauty. read more

Been coming here for years and all their doctors and support staff have always been wonderful. I like that they have multiple doctors because it gives a lot of flexibility with scheduling and with my needs, I usually can just take doctor has an open time slot and know whoever is available will do a great job. If you have an ongoing issue though you should probably stick with the same doctor however! read more

I went in for a consultation today with April Harrison, and let me say this has been hands down the BEST visit ever. April and Adriana did an excellent job answering all my questions, provided various options, and made sure I was comfortable. Absolutely everyone in the office is super friendly, kind, and courteous. Recently went to April for a few different things, and the results are fantastic! Day of appointment the office was very welcoming, and after check in you are walked back to a comfortable numbing room, where you lounge waiting for it to kick in. Numbing is scheduled an hour before, so I was pretty numbed up by the time I got to the room. April is very caring and interested in listening to all your concerns and offers very insightful ideas at tackling what you want to accomplish and looking for. I was very pleased with the outcome, she was able to lift, plump, and outline all areas we discussed, highly recommend following her on Instagram to give yourself an idea of what she does and her work. Unprofessional, Bad Customer Services! The office ran a promotion in July in which if purchased SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum they would give Skinmedica Illuminize Peel at no additional cost. I contacted them on Instagram to ask for more details whether I had to do the treatment in the month of July to get the deal or if I could schedule at a later date. They replied that I could do the treatment at my convenience, with no date restrictions. On September 1st, 2020, I called to schedule an appointment and confirmed with them whether there would be any extra charges for the treatment and I was reiterated that there was no extra cost since it was part of the July promotion. However, on the day of my appointment (September 29th) they said I had to pay for the treatment when I checked in as I didn't do it in July and the promotion funds were exhausted in July. If I was informed that I had to schedule and use the promotio treatment on the month of July, I would not had purchased the product since I was not able to schedule in July. I explicitly asked and made decisions based on what their employees informed me. I have the chat logs as evidence. They still put the blame on me for not using the promotion on July, and their own employees, all the marketing, esthetician and scheduling, for being misinformed. I would not recommend this doctor's office because they engaged in potentially false advertisement campaigns. Even though I had evidence of what their employees told me, they refused to honor the promotion and their words. Whether it is an internal communication issue or shameful false advertisement tactics, I will not be coming back here! read more

I came here to fix a problem and instead left with my problem much worse. I came in for a hydra facial... I told the tech that I had blackheads around my lip line but that I had hyperpigmentation and that I noticed that when the blackheads are extracted it scars my lip line leaving "holes" of white. (Little white marks). Everything was done super quick, she said she'll look at it when she starts the extractions.. I said ok. She ran the machine over near my top lip line before the halfway mark.. so I couldn't make my own decisions for if I wanted it or not. She didn't take my concern seriously. That's why I'm leaving this review. By the time she got to the extractions she told me they needed to go and quickly extracted one. Before I had time to react or decide really. I told her instantly to stop please and not do my lip line. She didn't seem worried enough about the scars it leaves behind. I understand her job is to clean out my face, but if it will create a bigger issue for me, and I'm telling you that, I think that should be respected. It just didn't seem to be. She kept telling me it wouldn't do that, trying to talk me into letting her continue. I was silent because I know my skin. I know my scarring. I already had the scarring on my lips, she was just not taking time to really look at what was going on. She said it would go away, no. I've had some of it for years. When I got home, I realized I ended up with worse scars. I'm very sad..I would pay 3x just to undo this. Look at the corner of my lips in the before and after photos. read more

I went to the dermatologist and spa. Dr. Eubanks entered the room and before looking, she had already prescribed three medications. I was surprised by the lack of care and interest in her patient. She simply stated the protocol she followed and was ready to leave the room. To make matters worse, I visited Kayla in the spa. I did microdermabrasion and extractions. I was also surprised by the lack of interest that she showed. I was also done in less than 20 min and they charged by $170. It was ridiculous. On top of that, my skin was left super irritated and did not see any results whatsoever. A waste of time and resources. read more

Most lack a good bedside manner, but not Dr. Couvillion. She is a genuinely kind, caring and very patient person - which makes her perfect for me. I always have questions and she has never made me feel like she didn't have time to answer any of them... fully to my understanding. I have never felt rushed or treated with anything less than respect (and I can be a bit of a trouble maker). I don't remember another doctor, of any kind, ever giving me the level of confidence that this group has. I have seen 3 doctors and Ms. Sheree on the research side, and 2 doctors on the skin side. Dr. Bruce knew exactly how to treat my facial acne and hyperpigmentation and explained thoroughly the treatment options for me and prescribed the necessary topical treatments and regimen for my face! I've had a really bad experience with fillers at another med spa. To make matters worse: I was gaslit afterwards and It left me upset for months. After finally admitting they made a mistake (and it wasn't just my face) Fixing the problem took another month at least , so two full months of being insecure. Not fun. Fast forward almost a year I wanted to try it again. Although, Needless to say, I was super hesitant to get the same procedure done anywhere after that. So I did a TON of research. Looked through probably hundreds of photos with all the different lighting and angles. I started following April Harrison on Instagram and I loved everything she did. I went in for fillers on Monday afternoon, Marcela Ramirez injected my nasolabial folds and marionette lines with a new type of filler (can't remember the name but it came highly recommended). I've had fillers before and only with Marcela- because they NEVER hurt, I get very little bruising, and I always look natural. Not trying to toot my own horn but I am looking pretty damn good today, I have to attribute this partially to my mamma's good genes, but also to Marcela Ramirez! She is an absolute gem! About 6 months ago, I started getting dark circles. They were pretty bad and a lot of people started asking me if I got enough sleep or if I was sick. I tried everything to fix the issue. I started sleeping more, elevating my head while I slept, and bought a lot of expensive eye creams and serums. Also, I went on online to find natural cures (i.e. parsley juice, cold spoons, black tea bags), but nothing worked. Last Friday, I received a dark circle treatment using a filler. I watched a bunch of online videos and was nervous. However, I'm glad that I chose Ms. Marcela Ramirez, a nurse practitioner, because I didn't experience any issues - no bruising or swelling either. Instantly, my dark circles went away. My only regret that I waited so long to fix the issue - and got green stains on my bed-sheets from the home-made parsley paste remedy. Now when I look at people, I really notice their dark circles and if they were a friend, I would refer them to Ms. Ramirez. (I also received PRP microneedling facial the same day to get rid of prior acne scars. It took 3 days for me to finally recover/heal, but the results are noticeable. I cannot recommend this practice. I went in to this practice for 3 routine skin care visits. I have a family history of skin cancer and am pale with blue eyes. I never tanned but had a couple sunburns when I was a kid. The doctor knew this, but because of my age, I received at each visit what I can only describe as a "lecture" from Doctor Bruce about how I was too young to be worrying about skin cancer despite having over 100 moles on my body, which in turn increases my chances of skin cancer. I had a few moles removed and each time she would tell me I was worrying too much and oh, that it would scar, isn't that a shame for my young skin, but I don't care about scars, I care about my health. Well, I had had this weird mole on my leg for years, and it was 2 colors; she saw it multiple times each visit, and she didn't see anything wrong with it even when I mentioned it was 2 colors and asymmetrical which are bad signs. I got a second opinion finally because I got tired of being told each time I went in for a routine skin check I worried too much. It turned out to be a severe dysplastic nevus with several abnormal cells that had the potential to become cancerous! I had to have surgery to cut it out and there was a significantly sized stitch required to close me up! My new dermatologist had a very different response than Dr. Bruce. My new doctor took one look at this mole I had when I went to them for a second opinion and said they wanted it removed and biopsied immediately. No lecturing at all, just care for my health which I appreciated greatly. If I had left it any longer and continued going to the Bruce practice I could have had skin cancer in a few more months and a major headache of treatment to follow. Bottom line, heed my words and be wary. Do NOT tolerate it when a doctor tells you you "worry" too much when you find something abnormal on your body. You get only one life to live, protect it and advocate for your health! read more

The rep who answered the phone stated she would call me back with an answer and to reschedule my appointment. One week later, no call back so I called to get rescheduled and was informed that not only were they taking $500 from what I paid for the procedure but that they were going to now turn around and charge me additional money. Thoroughly disappointed with my recent visit with Dr. Doubleday. I made an appointment for my husband and I to come in together. I was told the time of the appointment and to arrive 20 minutes early, we got the emails to do new patient paperwork and completed. We arrive 20 minutes and are told that I have an appointment at one time, and then my husband's is 30 minutes after mine. They explained with some BS why we couldn't have one joint appointment. I should have questioned why this was never conveyed to me over the phone but I knew I couldn't without being a big biatch so I just resigned to waiting. My husband needed to get to work so he took the first appointment instead. He was called back 15 minutes before the appointment time. I can't really discuss his appointment experience since I was not present. I am not called back until exactly at the appointment time (so now I've been in the waiting room a solid hour!) I then wait another 15 minutes before I actually see the doctor. He spends about 20 minutes with me. He doesn't listen to basically anything I have to say. He does a lot of talking, so much so that I can't explain or interject and am just forced to accept his opinions even though I know they are not an entirely correct diagnosis. He gives me samples and the nurse explains they use a mail order pharmacy for prescriptions. My husband was charged about $75 for his visit (after insurance) and I was charged $100 for mine (after insurance) The mail order place has called me a few times but I have to intentions of having anything filled since I don't feel I got an accurate diagnosis in the first place. Total waste of time and money. read more

The Spa at Suzanne Bruce and Associates is, of course, the day spa portion of Suzanne Bruce and Associates. It's in the same building as Suzanne Bruce's dermatology practice, but has its own separate suite. I'd purchased a groupon for a Vitalize peel (a "lunchtime" peel). The spa is located in a brown office multi-storied office building. The receptionist had me fill out a form and I waited 10-15 minutes in the dark-lit waiting area before the aesthetician got me. The peel itself took less than 20 minutes, and I didn't notice much of a difference (which is why it's a "lunchtime" peel--no downtime at all). The aesthetician was friendly, but not chatty (i.e. conducive to a relaxing experience). A funny moment was when she told me I was "so sweet" when I handed her the tip, making me think that not everyone follows the practice. Prices are standard for a day spa; services include microdermabrasian, mild chemical peels (the Obagi Blue Peel is done on the dermatology side), facials, waxing, and makeup application. If you do need a prescription or something of the sort, you do have to walk to the dermatology side for a consultation. read more

I have been going to this office for many years. Cosmetic Practice: I am happy with the Cosmetic side of the practice. The staff is nice, polite. I rarely have to wait more than 15 minutes past the appointment tme; they tend to be on schedule. Their procedures tend to be priced higher than other "reputable" places in Houston. I keep saying I am going to change, but you know, when you're comfortable with a practitioner, it's hard to make a change. Medical Practice: They are not as friendly as the cosmetic side. They tend to keep one waiting sometimes 45 minutes past the schedule time. I have seen Dr. Doubleday, he's a friendly doctor. My skin problem has not been resolved. They tend to prescribe creams, etc., but do no tests, etc. I will definitely look for another medical dermatology group. read more
