July 14 2023 I hostessed an event in my home for about 50 for lunch. Mojo catered corn, Mac & cheese, ribs, pulled pork sandwich made fresh on the grill at my home, chicken, we also had salads. She also delivered a variety if desserts that were awesome. Tea and Lemonade was the drinks serves. Everyone kept telling how great the food was and many went back for seconds. She stayed until everyone was done eating. Service was great, food wonderful and the decor/set up was beautiful. I highly recommend Mo. I would use her again. The food this girl dishes out. . . da-aam! Just the right amount of flavor in the green beans, a surprise kick in the mac n cheese, cornbread with just the right amount of sweetness, and the main entrees were phenomenal! The house burger had everything in it, the fried chicken sandwich had the perfect crust, and the ribs just melted with every bite. Not my first visit today but wanted to share that I arranged for a big pan of Mo's famous Jalapeno Mac & Cheese to tide us over while we were hunkering down at home and all I need to do is stick it in the oven to cook. I've eaten at MoJo's Catering Services twice now and can say the food coming out of the kitchen does not disappoint! On each of my visits for lunch I've opted to eat off the regular menu and try one of the specials listed on the board (Fried Chicken and Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Tomato-Basil soup served with a mixed greens salad). Both specials were came out piping hot and reasonably priced. I live in Fresno and the 30 minute drive to Madera is worth it. Horrible Catering services! I attended a family funeral where Mojo's catered and served Fried and Baked Chicken which was evidently purchased from WinCo grocery store. They suffocated the salad in ranch dressing causing it to be very soggy be the time it was plated in front of us. Not sure if/how the family paid for their services, but I would've demanded a full refund and reported them to the Better Business Bureau. SAD!!! read more

MoJo's is definitely Madera's hidden gem. In a town where majority of the food options is Mexican food or fast food, it's refreshing to have a taste of soul food right here in Madera. One of my first meals at MoJos was her catfish...wow. Not a big fish eater and this was amazing. Than it was paired with jalapeño macaroni...wow, just wow. I also love the charm of the old cafe. Glad they kept the original cafe bar. This is a great place if you are looking for something other than Mexican food or fast food. The worst experience EVER!!! How can a caterer have uncooked food?! We had to send our food back 2xs. Saddest part was this was at a wedding! Using the couples kitchen (microwave) to reheat the rest of the food on the plate and to use their oven to "recook" the chicken. Worst part is when it was so called recooked it was still BLEEDING. Then one of the servers had the nerve to come by the table and say "would you like some duck? It's fully cooked." No one should ever have to be reassured that the food was fully cooked. Not to mention the days followed not only did I get food poisoning so did my husband, our son, and other wedding guests. I'm just glad the couple didn't let this ruin their day. NEVER will I recommend this place to anyone. I have to leave one star but I don't want to because you deserve ZERO!!! read more

Stopped in for a to go order to support a locally owned small business. Fried chicken was awesome; was well seasoned, moist inside with a crunchy outside and not greasy. Green bean side were the tastiest I've had. Corn bread muffins were over baked, slightly burned in the bottom so they were dry. Chicken is cooked to order so plan accordingly. Best to call ahead. Disappointed the employees and owner were not wearing masks. Leukemia lives at my house, so I can't flirt with that kind of risk during this pandemic. read more

On the evening of Oct 21st, numerous family members arrived at the hall to start the initial set up for my Mom's repass. Mo (Mojo's Catering) approached my Sister & I to ask if she could be given the key so that she could occupy the building early the next morning. My Sister told her I can't leave you the key. She then reassured us that she would be there personally to receive the key and that either herself she (or staff) would remain there all day so tge building secure.. She then stated that she's contracted with the hall and that she always work with them & they work w/her. Again, my Sister expressed/explained that she didn't feel comfortable giving her the key. Since she was so adamant about getting into the building to get an early start on cooking "OUR" food, my Sister agreed to meet her the following morning so she could have an early start. However, she failed to show up the following morning. In her absence, she sent her employee (an hispanic male) who waited until my Sister left to prop something btwn the door to hold it open. Luckily, my Sister saw him driving away from the property & circled back to check to see if the building had been secured and was able to safely secure it, as per contract. I was in charge of the food that was gonna be served & so I brought 3 of my own professional Chaffing Dishes (which were used by Mojo staff w/out my permission) I had raw shrimp that I was not allowed into the kitchen to cook bcuz Mojo staff forcefully guarded the kitchen door & told me that I *could not* enter the kitchen (even tho the hall gave us permission to) I had Winco chicken delivered as a backup incase we ran out of catered chicken & was totally EMBARRASSED that guests were served Winco chicken in lieu of Mojo's Catered Chicken. Mojo's was paid an additional $100 just to provide Greens which we were told they "weren't for us". That peaked my suspension, if they aren't for us, why are they here, in our kitchen during the hours we have this building reserved for. Well, my complaining guests were served cold food because *All morning long, Mojo's had been using our ovens & refrigerator to store & cook food for their next venue rather than for our venue*. I am so upset, so totally disappointed that it's taken me a few days to even leave this review. I introduced my family to Mojo's & we were all let down & had $1,600 taken from us (during our time of grief). We would have never paid that to merely receive (fried fish, toss salad, rolls & lemonade/punch), I would have personally catered it & gotten greater reviews! read more

The first time I tried Mojo's food was for my friends mom's wake... the Celebration was catered by Mojo's, I had never heard of it till then. The celebration was beautiful and the presentation of the catered food added to the elegance of the Celebration. The food not only looked beautiful it tasted so delicious! I fell in love with Mojo's, I think it was their Italian meatballs. They were so delicious. All the food was delicious. There was nothing there I didn't try or didn't like. She had fresh fruit, cheese, mini sandwiches, salads, ice tea, desserts and so much more I just can't remember it all. Mojo and her staff were very quite and professional as they set up the luncheon for everyone to enjoy in memory of our sweet friend.
