Gorgeous facility with wide-spaced sites and clear sight lines to the gorgeous mountains. Stayed just one night, but with the recent rain it's a gorgeous scene there. Friendly ranger and nice running water bathrooms with showers! Will definitely come back!

This campground is a secret gem and saved my group this weekend. This weekend my group of 4 we're planning on staying at Silverwood but due to Covid our reservation was mixed up. We were directed to Mojave River Fork Campground and I was SO glad we were. This location is only 15 mins from Silverwood Lake and much cheaper. Silverwood cost $54 for 1 night (Sunday-Monday) and Mojave River Fork Campground was $60 for 2 nights (Friday-Sunday). We showed up and Christian the park ranger was SO kind and helpful! He gave us a list of 8 camping spots that were reserved (which I guess you can do online or via phone) but we were able to pick any other one. RV camping was on one side and the other was all tent camping. We drove around the camping spots a few times to pick the one that suited us best. We had a camping spot with plenty of open space and no one close to us. We had a fire pit/grill, water spout, and our own bathroom and beautiful views of the mountains. Christian was kind enough to help us clean up some broken glass in our area when we arrived. He cleaned the restrooms every morning AND kindly checked in on us to make sure we were doing ok. What an angel. A few additional notes: -It was super windy so make sure to bring stakes or weights. -We heard coyotes howling nearby both nights. -The picnic tables are pretty worn, bring a table cloth or folding table if possible. -I saw on another comment that there were showers, we didn't see them and didn't have any near us but it doesn't mean they weren't there. -Some campground spots seem to be more exposed than others. -We also hiked in the area behind our camoground.

Spent Columbus Day weekend here and the camping are with hookups was almost empty, only us and 4 other campers. Great place to hike around with children and the roads are good for bikes, but not for scooters or skateboards. Trash cans were emptied daily and bathrooms were clean and open.

Our tent set up with solar lights and a rug at the enterance

Love the campground and it's personnel. Very quiet and very clean. Only down side not much to do other than hiking. Will stay there again.
