Hmm perhaps I spoke to soon...today was my second visit to Mohegan. I told my nail tech, Long, I didn't need my nails cut down, but the square shape was starting to look thicker on the top edges as it was growing out, so I asked him to file the sides. When I went to pay, I was being charged $5 more than the last time I was there. I asked the owner's wife why, and she said she didn't know. Long said it was because I asked for a new shape. So...filing isn't part of the service?? Since when?? The woman at the register said she would take $5 off, yet I see the charge on my card... When I left, a woman came up to me in my car. She had been standing behind me in line and thanked me for saying something because apparently they pull this all the time. Additionally, she said there have been times she has gone to pay and they tell her the credit card machine is down. One time they made her leave her phone as collateral to go to the ATM. I have used Mohegan Nail Spa off and on for pedicures, but will never do so again. I have a large sore at the base of my big toe nail from the nail tech scrubbing with the pumice sponge so hard she made me bleed. This happened on Tuesday and the sore is larger and more tender today. The tech knew she did it and kept apologizing. I was still expected to pay full price for my service for something that was not my fault but the tech's negligence. I will not be back. read more

Me and a friend went and got pedicures at Mohegan last night and it was a really good experience! We showed up at a little after 5 and the manager or owner was so apologetic because she literally had no available person for a walk in but she said if we came back at 5:45 she would fit us both in no problem! We went over to the ice house for a quick drink, came back and we got in almost immediately. The color selection for gel is pretty fair and all the workers are very nice. I've been to Mohegan as a walk in several times. They have always accommodated me and have good nail technicians. There have been several times, however, that in the middle of my service, my tech was pulled off of working with me because a reservation had walked in. So, I made a reservation this past weekend for 4 people, 2 adults 2 little girls. When we arrived at Mohegan for the appointment, we were told it would be another half an hour as they had so many walk-ins. I reminded them that they always pull techs to accommodate the reservations. The young man who was put in charge looked at me as if I was speaking Martian and told me there was nothing he could do. In the meantime, several more people with reservations after our time were accommodated before us. We waited for the half hour and then some, and realized they were never going to accommodate our foursome. We left as the young man said, "Have a nice day." read more

I have to downgrade a star because I have been having color issues with them. For their shellac, I think they are putting a cheaper alternative in the bottles. The color hasn't come out the same as the sample the past couple visits and my most recent visit the color completely changed on 48 hours. The painting and manicure are good overall and I will likely be back but this color debacle has been frustrating. If I wasn't traveling I would have gone back in for a fix. read more

I remember why I stopped coming to this place. The last time I was in this nail salon was 2011. After my experience today, I remember why I quit coming. I have an hour lunch break. I desperately needed a manicure and my regular salon is too far from my office to make it there and back in an hour. I called the salon around 1 to see a) if they were busy and b) how long a fill and shellac would take. The man who answered the phone said 35 minutes. I said "Great! Can you put me down at 1:30? My name is Lindsay." He clearly didn't, as he quickly said "okay" and hung up the phone. Thankfully they weren't busy. I sat down and a woman started on my nails. I needed one repaired, as it had chipped. The first thing she did before removing the current shellac was trim my nails, WITH A NAIL CLIPPER. ARE YOU SERIOUS. Anyone that gets acrylic on the regular knows they have to be shaved down because they will crack. And guess what. ALL OF THEM DID. Then, some other patron came in. Apparently she was more important for some reason and I was sent to a male technician. This guy could not have done a worse job. Dear lord. See pictures. He didn't trim the excess under my nail, he got nail glue on one of my fingers. The polish wasn't all the way to the edge. I had to ask him 3 times to shave down my nail because they were thick as hell. I eventually gave up and they are still quite thick. I kept reminding him I had to be back to work at 2:30. My office is at least 5-7 minutes away if I make every light. At one point, I looked at my watch and it was 2:18 and he hadn't even begun putting the shellac on! TL/DR: This place sucks and does not take any sort of pride in their work. If you're looking for an amazing nail salon, this is not it. read more

Our first visit was great. My daughter had Kevin (or Calvin). He did amazing! However, this time was awful. My daughter went in for a fill, for her nails to be trimmed and shaped (She has stiletto style nails). The employee did such a horrible job shaping them (crooked and uneven), my daughter asked to have them removed yes, they were that bad. So, the lady proceeds to pry them all off with a metal tool!! No soaking or any care of keeping what natural growth she had on her real nails. After prying them off with her tool, she drilled on her natural nail bed to revove access glue ect. My daughters nails are paper and raw. She was crying they hurt so bad. On top of that, I had to ask for a refund!! She was charged to rip her nails off. When I asked why they were not soaked off, I was just stared at like a deer in headlights. My advice would be to find a reputable salon/spa with a professional nail tech. Overall this is your typical nail salon with local sports on the big screen TVs and family friendly pop music playing in the background. Lynn is the reason this place gets an extra star. She really enjoys what she does and is great with designs. Always ask for her if you want something special done when it comes to pedicures as she will take her time and ensure it is done right. me and my mom went for a wedding. we normally go to le soleil but the bride wanted us to go with her. i got acrylic my mom got dip. i got yellow, it looked mustard/marigold on the sheet but looks neon yellow on my nails. the acrylic on mine gets wider past my nail. the acrylic is extremely thick and bumpy. the nails themselves curve down. the paint is splotchy and you can see through it in some places. when she was applying the acrylic she was very sloppy and got a lot on my finger. to get the acrylic off, she filed my finger and some skin came off. my mom wanted navy with teal and marigold (the colors of the wedding, bride and grooms fav colors) they tried out 3 different colors for the navy-the navy they went with looks black. they didn't think they could do the hearts. will never go again & am extremely disappointed. the only good part was the price but now we know why it's so cheap. read more

I have been there multiple times with multiple people and all of my girlfriends have agreed that they have great customer service and give great pedicures for a great price. My usual nail salon, NT nails was chock filled with people today, so I ventured out west to try Mohegan Nail Spa. I guess all women of Omaha had the same idea as I did... warm weather means pedicure time! Upon entering we were greeted and signed up on the walk-ins clipboard. While we waited, we picked out our colors on the nail polish wall and sat down to wait our turn. Around half an hour later we were whisked to the back of the salon, where the water baths were running and waiting for us. Everything started out pretty good and in a standard fashion. My nail technician, Linda(?), trimmed my nails down, filed and buffed my nails, etc. So far so good. The leg massage and callous removal was also very good and probably the best I've had in Omaha. While Linda wasn't very talkative and didn't know much english (which bothers me not), she was very distracted talking to her co-worker who was doing my friend's pedicure. Now I don't care if the vietnamese ladies like to chat with each other, its work, they're conversing, not a big deal to me. BUT, my technician would stop, chat, and not work on my pedicure! So what would have taken her 30 minutes to do took 2x longer because she was distracted. Another thing was that she stood up to leave on multiple occasions while I was left wondering where the heck she ventured off to. But that even wasn't that bad. What upset me most was that because I was her last client she was very sloppy with the paint job on my toes. And I couldn't see them very clearly until I was sitting at the drying fan area where I could closely examine them. And upon examination, I was horrified. Some nails weren't even painted entirely, the polish wasn't coated evenly, too much top coat on the big toe, etc. I had never ever ever had someone paint my toes so badly in my life. (And if you've read my previous review about Natalie from NT Nails, this was by far 10x worse than Natalie, and that is saying a lot). I really almost wanted to cry it was that bad. So I was debating whether or not to flag down the boss and ask them to redo my toes because you know, you never want to be that person. I did eventually though and he agreed. I apologized to Linda when I went back to her and told her I felt really bad. She didn't apologize to me though. Linda was visibly upset that I told her boss.. but what else was I to do? She confronted me asking why I didn't say anything when she asked...but it was because I couldn't see them up close! How the heck can you see from all the way up in the chair?! (They looked okay at first because I choose a very deep iridescent purple color.) She grabbed "the dreaded brush", hoping to do the quick fix for me by just cleaning up the edges, but clearly we were way past the point of even using the brush. I calmly explained that I would like her to redo them all since they were so poorly done and my gosh was she PISSED. Like, volcano erruption pissed. She begrudgingly removed the polish with cotton and acetone. But did NOT do the actual painting. The nice lady that helped my friend actually did the painting for me and she did an excellent job. All in all, I think I was unlucky to have gotten a not so good lady that just slapped on some polish on my toes and called it a day. I am disappointed that my first experience here wasn't the best, but I am glad that they were at least willing to fix my toes after and they turned out great. I think I will be back here since the boss is such a nice guy and also there are other workers who are clearly more passionate about their work. This was my third option for a fill today. I wouldn't have considered calling them if my regular place wasn't booked but I'm very glad I did! Vi did the best fill of my life and my nails look so natural! I couldn't give five stars however because the options for shellac colors are pretty limited and the look and feel of the salon is super dated. read more

My mom got awesome nail art done-- ornate snowflakes with rhinestones on her toes! Everyone I have had has been chatty and kind-- tip them well please! Review based on one visit.... Made an appt. after a couple of friends referred me to "a cheap, but good, pedicure" I had one of the two dudes working do mine. He seemed hungover and unengaged during the first half of the pedicure. But what he lacked then, he made up for during the leg massage and hot coal part...another's redemption never felt very good. And I was happy again. However, when I got home, I realized the paint job wasn't that good. Initially, I thought I picked a bad color, but I think the polish may have been watered down. And he didn't do a top coat and, when looked at closely, the job was a little sloppy. But I feel ok about this place.....for $25, the treatment lasted almost an hour and I left feeling relaxed. Sure, I'm a little peeved the end result was perfect but I am going to chalk that up to the guy I had, not the whole place. Still trying to find a good nail salon in Omaha. This isn't it. Came in for a basic manicure for my engagement photos. The technician didn't say anything to me except, "Why aren't you getting shellac?" I told her I didn't have time, and she never said another word to me the entire time. She chomped so hard at my cuticles that I flinched a couple of times and said, "ouch!" She never even looked at me, apologized, or let up on the scissors. I was surprised my cuticles weren't bleeding. The "massage" she gave me was lame, and seemed like it was a huge annoyance for her. You can imagine how good it felt. She took my bottle of nail polish, which was separated, and didn't even shake it before she started painted. She put the base coat on, then two coats of color, then a top coat. She didn't take ANY time in between coats to allow the polish to dry and didn't even have me use the fan. Needless to say, two days later, my polish started peeling off in giant sheets because she didn't bother letting it dry in between coats. After I went and put my hands under the dryer, she came and slapped down a coupon in front of me with the price on it and didn't say ANYTHING to me. Great customer service! I'm only giving this two stars because the prices were reasonable and my fiance really enjoyed his nail technician and received an excellent hand and arm massage. I would rather pay more money for a god experience and a manicure that lasts more than two days. read more

I've been here two times. The first time I went it was the first time I've ever had a pedicure in my life and I loved it. The color was perfect, the hot towel wrap and stone massage were the best and having this done really isn't that expensive if it's just once in a while. Well worth the money! The person who did my first pedicure was a male, I don't remember his name but he was very quick but detailed, I absolutely loved it. He seemed to enjoy what he does and takes pride in his work...it could be that he's more experienced too. I would recommend asking for him when you get there. He'd be worth the wait if he's already working on someone. The second time I went I had a younger girl who worked on my pedicure. She just didn't seem happy to be there, she was distant...I don't know it just wasn't the same experience and I think it makes a difference if the person who gives you a service like that at least has a little interest in what they do. I ran another errand, returned, and STILL had to wait. Today, again, I arrived on time, waited 30 minutes past appointment, still not ready for me, so I left. So disrespectful. They added a few more shellac colors but by having a conversation with the manager it's not his fault that their color selection is lacking, it's basically bc of the owner. Been here lots of times for special occasions... I don't normally spend money to get my nails done so it's a fun girlfriend thing for me to do. Every time I come here it's so insane busy that they are hear ding you around like cattle. We had an appointment but apparently that doesn't matter... We still had to wait for 25 minutes until they could fit the three of us in. Then our third got started 20 minutes after we did so we had to wait for her to be finished. What is the point of making an appointment!?! This is so frustrating! There were also about 5 choices of red and pink. Call me old school but I don't want green/yellow/blue toes - yuck. I decided to tag along with a coworker on a Friday afternoon and treat myself to a shellac manicure. She had been to the salon several times and said they did a good job. The parking is very limited in front and parking in back is a bit inconvenient. When we entered the salon we were greeted by a man at the front desk who seemed rushed and annoyed. He told us that it was be about 20 minutes and we took a seat. My friend was called back within a few minutes and I was shortly after. They tried to seat me across the room from her and when I asked if I could be seated next to her they acted like I had made a ridiculous request. The salon is very loud. The employees kids are always running around and lounging in the pedicure chairs on their iPads. I don't know about anyone else but when I get my nails done, it's a treat and I want to be relaxed. Watching children run around and listening to them yelling is not my idea of relaxing. The man who did my first manicure was very quiet and did a nice job. I did find it weird that gel polish was not cleaned up prior to curing, instead it was filed off afterwards. I decided to give them another shot and returned a couple weeks later. I made an appointment and still had to wait a good 10 mins before I was seated. I then sat at the station for another 5 minutes before the nail tech arrived. I looked through the limited selection of gel polish and decided on a purple shade with a couple of glitter accent nails. The nail tech did not understand what I was requesting and I had to explain a few times. She starts applying the purple shade and I begin to realize this is not the shade I picked. I try to explain this to her and she just nods and says 'oh, I don't know'. I decided not to do the glitter and she rushes through the application. Not only was the polish not the color I chose but it was applied unevenly and my cuticles were barely cleaned up. The prices may be low but that's because the quality is low. There are much better salons in the area that will spend time on your manicure to make sure it looks nice when you walk out the door. read more

They put a mask on my nails and put in hot gloves to soften the cuticles (never had that before). And she gave me longest calf-foot massage I had ever received!
