I had always gone to a different place to get my eyebrows threaded but it is pretty far from where…read moreI live and completely out of the way so I decided to try Santhi's. It seemed like they were taking the proper precautions due to COVID and I appreciated the extra effort. The sign on their door instructed you to text them when you arrive and they will come out and greet you. Well, the lady ended up being late and then when I went in she then stated she could only take cash which I then had to go to the bank and get cash to pay her. She was nice enough to still thread my eyebrows but I feel like that is something that should be told to customers right away. When my appointment was complete another customer came in, unmasked, and wasn't in her car waiting to be called in. I don't really understand why there are specific instructions to protect employees and other customers if there are the few customers that just don't seem to car that a global pandemic is still prevalent. I appreciated the effort in keeping me safe during this challenging time for businesses, I also appreciated that she let me get cash to pay her as well. My eyebrows turned out okay, different from the lady I normally went to but right now I think I will hold off getting my eyebrows threaded again until next year some time.

I love my eyebrows and feel like the results are better and last so much longer than waxing. The prices are reasonable and they are open later than some other businesses, making it easy for me to swing by after work. I haven't tried any of their other services yet, but will in the future. Great little business!

I want to tell you that I thought this salon experience was the most excellent experience I've ever…read morehad. My BFF and I were trying to find a cozy salon where we could get our hair done without feeling so anxious, we both have extreme social anxiety disorder. I had called around to several different salons and none of them felt right to me until I called Mo at Mohvi salon. And straight away I got the feeling he was super kind, super nice, super compassionate and understanding. I didn't feel judged but I felt welcome, and also I felt he was trustworthy. That takes a very intuitive creative and in touch person to be able to connect with someone immediately without judgment. I told him that I'd like to come in with my BFF and asked if there was any availability. I told him the situation and he checked his schedule ,and told me he could get us in the same day. I was thrilled and overwhelmed, I called my best friend and told her we have to go to this place it sounds amazing and I think it's going to be perfect for us I don't think it's going to be overwhelming and it sounds comfortable and the guys sounds really trustworthy, I think we would be okay with our social anxiety there. We both went out of both of our comfort zones and go to the salon. We were laughing and giggled like school girls all the way to the salon Mohvi. We hadn't seen each other and hadn't had an adventure for about 10 months or so, and we really missed hanging out. On the way to the salon we were laughing like school girls, interpreting personal license plates and trying to control my labradoodle Klondike that just had to come on the trip. He doesn't really fit in the front part of the car, but of course he wanted to put his butt right in the middle of the driver and passenger seat. My BFF provided chocolate shakes from Freddy's, which Klondike tried to steal for his own. Of course we got lost and ended up on the wrong side of the street. I called Mo and told him we are lost and late and I'm sorry. Mo was the most kind and understanding man, he kind of giggled like before when we talked on the phone a couple times before coming to the salon, he's like it's all right we're over here right next to the Arby's on O St. My best friend booked it over to Mohvi, and ended up on the wrong side of the building where the salon is located, so we had to go across the parking lot and then we finally found Mohvi salon. I had read several five-star reviews online, and was confident that Mo was going to be awesome, but I still was amazed when we entered into the cozy comfortable warm salon environment, we were overwhelmed with how wonderful it was. We felt welcome and less nervous about the experience, Mo treated us so kindly and made us feel comfortable and welcome. I got my hair shampooed first and it just felt so luxurious and I felt so pampered, Mo was intuitive to my needs enough to give me washcloth to cover my eyes, since I have light sensitivity issues. I sat in the chair, and Mo asked me what I wanted for my haircut and looked at my pictures he was like oh yeah no problem no problem. I've never seen anyone so into their element and their purpose in life to be a salon Stylist and help people to feel better about themselves. I feel like he really wanted to make a difference and help us feel more confident about ourselves. He was able to have a easy conversation with me and connect almost he was a long uncle that was doing my hair LOL.. The haircut took hardly anytime and it was very easy to just wait and get the results, and it was amazing, he blow dried my hair which was an amazing pleasurable experience. My BFF was not sure if she even wanted to get her hair done, but I convinced her that it was amazing, and she should try it, we both were very impressed with our results. We learned a lot about Mo that day, and I think he learned a lot about us I don't think I've ever been to a salon and felt like it was an amazing therapy session, but it was so wonderful and he actually made time out of his day for us to come in that same day and spent so much time making our experience outstanding. I know this is like the longest review ever in the history of reviews, but I just have to make sure that anyone who reads this knows the Mohvi salon is comfy, welcoming, and amazing. I've never experienced such a wonderful haircut in my lifetime and that's a long time LOL. The other thing that's amazing is that MO created this business with his partner Vi (who was out of town at the time but does pedicures and other salon services). It was incredible and both my friend and I are giving Mo five stars that he deserves probably deserves 10 if we could give that rating. Thank you Mo for treating us like family and for making us giggle and feel 10 times better than how we felt when we spontaneously with trepidation decided to come to your salon. We can't thank you enough Mo, we will definitely be back. I hope that you keep using your special gift to help people get

I called on a business day and there was no answer. I left a message on their machine inquiring if…read morethey still did eyebrow threading. I've lived in much larger cities than Lincoln and don't feel that eyebrow threading has caught on all that much here, which disappoints me. Threading is so much more precise/accurate when grooming eyebrows. I wanted to know if they had a threading technician who did NOT put the thread in his/her mouth. I think that is very unsanitary!!! Saliva splatters in your face and it's gross!! Most of the places in Lincoln do it this way, unfortunately. I didn't mention this inquiry in my message tho. I wanted to ask a person on an actual call not a machine. I really wanted my brows done that day so I then drove to the threading salon near Target on N. 48th st. All of the people threading there had the thread in their mouths. I ended up walking out and going back to the place in Gateway mall, across from Dry Goods. The woman there doesn't put the thread in her mouth, but doesn't shape eyebrows beyond an a slight rounded arch, even when asking for more of an angled arch. There might be a language barrier though, too. It had been a couple days after my call to Salon MohVi and no reply. Finally, I got a call back (around 3 days later). I wasn't able to answer the call at the time. She left a message and apologized that no one had gotten back to me yet. She said they did do brow threading still. It's been a few weeks and I need my brows done again. I haven't called them back yet, though. I prob will try once more. Hopefully someone will answer the phone. I don't want to leave a message and play phone tag again. I think they may do online scheduling so I might give that a try too.
