I just went here Friday for the first time since 2019. I use to get Moe's all the time for lunch but then I started to work remote so I haven't been in the area. This past Friday I decided to take my son and I had to pick up Queso for later that night. He got the burrito jr deal, I got a steak bowl. I was disappointed, the steak was grey and looked liked it was boiled to cook. It was too late to change it since it was in the bowl, which they just throw on. And what happen to the toppings? There was only about 5 to choose from besides onions/peppers, queso and guacamole??? So I ordered two large queso also. Besides they only gave 1 bag of chips and I know the chips also come with my sons meal, and they never asked if they can be together or separate. I didn't notice until they put our items together because there was confusion with the lady in front of me and her order with small guac and queso and whatever's. When I paid it was 47$ what?? Insane. For what? When I got home I looked at my bowl, there is nothing there! Small bland tasting steak, something was overly salty which I think was the peppers and a small sprinkle of olives, corn, and jalapeños over rice? Seriously save your money - I didn't even take a 3rd bite and threw it out I couldn't finish it. I'm sorry I got to redefine and build a burrito bowl- double meat and all free toppings way more then what Moe's has - 4 days of food and it's 12$ .. Moes you should be so embarrassed. You food quality went down and even the large queso was 8.99? The chips tasted funny too. Never again I'm sorry, I gave it a try after. I'll support a more local own and get way better quality food. I had a disappointing experience at Moe's South of the Border today. I received an email with a $5 off promotion, but when I tried to access it through the app, I ran into technical issues--I couldn't reset my password. I asked the manager for assistance, but instead of helping or offering an alternative solution, she simply told me she couldn't help. The lack of effort and customer care was frustrating, and in the end, I left without getting my food. Good customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, that was missing today. I hope Moe's can work on training their team to be more accommodating, especially when customers encounter technical difficulties with their App. It was the App that was not working in the 1st place. read more

Came for a late lunch with my boyfriend and oof... While what I ate, the Moe's version of a Crunchwrap, was delicious, I am currently paying the price if you get what Im saying. I have been to many Moe's before and I haven't had a reaction like this and that makes me really upset. I usually love the chips and queso but today it felt watery and my Crunchwrap was missing more sauce to even put all the beans they put on. I was hoping to give this location a 3.5/4 but due to how I'm currently feeling it's gonna have to be a 2. I definitely won't be back any time soon and most likely not at this location. read more

Fist time I ate at Moe's was two weeks ago on a Sunday at the Mills Jersey Garden Mall. I was amazed it was sooooooo delicious. The flavors from my burrito were so good, nice and hot and it was so big I left half and took it for lunch the next day. My husband , my daughter and I were just loving the food. They ate quesadillas, steak and chicken. We regretted not visiting the Moe's near our home. We finally did, and with much enthusiasm for lunch we went to the Moe's in Patchogue. Boy the disappointment. It was not nearly as delicious as in the Nj Mall, not even close. We were all disappointed. No flavoring, very bland, and my burrito had more rice than anything else and it was cold. I would not recommend this particular location, but if you are ever visiting the Mills New Jersey Garden Mall, go for it. read more

During the pandemic, there are a few places that are open with new rules in places. One of them is Moe's. What I love about any Moe's are the cool drinks. They have great iced tea flavors as well as those multi soda choice machines. The reason why I chose to write a review about this particular Moe's is they are open for business! (take out rules apply) For Cinco de Mayo, my son and I are home. My wife is working and I wanted to have a festive meal when she came home. I checked the Moe's app and there was a take out party package for four people. This party pack has everything you need to get your party started. A huge tray of nacho chips, all the sauces, two meats as well as both hard and soft tacos. ¡Arriba, arriba! ¡Ándale, ándale! What the sad part is regarding the current culture, when you walk into any Moe's the counter staff screams: Welcome to Moes! Now there is no screaming welcome when I arrive. There are no Iced teas or drinks available, here's your food, deuces. Hopefully, 2021 Cinco de Mayo will be festive. For now, we're having a party at home. I needed to kill time waiting for my shot at Mens Warehouse. It was around lunchtime and Moes is right across the parking lot, decided to give it a try. I haven't had Moes in years, as there are Chipotles and Qudobas near where I live. I ordered a steak bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. Ingredients were fresh, and it came with chips. One of the worst moes I've been to. They skimp out on the meat every time I've come here. The app always seems to be down for this location, so if you have a reward it takes them forever to hook up the discount. I've never understood the hype with Moe's; I always just figured it was because no matter what you ordered they throw it in a bag with free chips and send you to the salsa bar. I mean, I guess that's good n all, but let's be honest, the price of those chips and salsa are built into the burrito. I do think their tomatillo salsa is tasty, and they've got that glorious queso, but everything seems a bit bland to me. They give a free burrito for your birthday if you sign up so that's hella worth it. The patchogue location is always packed and sorta slow but for the one time a year I go it's not a big deal, in fact, that can play to your benefit (just think free queso) My beef with Moe's is also how they go about the menu options... they have the regular burrito, and the home wrecker burrito- now, just so you know, they are the exact same damn thing, same price, just one comes with guacamole which you still have to tell the punk making your burrito to put on. So all in all they have a burrito or they have tacos. Pick your meat and topping and pay 9-11 bux, it's that simple. Moe's is a delicious fast-casual restaurant with mexican-esque dishes. I really like that their menu is versatile (not only can you get a burrito but you can get a bowl, tacos, or even a stack- my favorite). Moe's is set up very much like a subway where you build your item as you go, so each item you get is customizable. I came to this Moe's on my last visit home to New York because we don't really have them out in California. The main draw for me is for sure their queso. You can add queso to any of their items for an additional cost, and can also purchase a side or a cup for dipping your chips. This location is pretty standard in comparison to other Moe's. The service is pretty good, the portions are okay (could be a bit bigger for what you are paying for), and the food is tasty. read more

I've been to at least 4 other Moe's locations on the island and this one is slightly better than some of the others in my opinion. I've never gotten a BAD meal here, but the problem with places like this is that it all depends on who's making the food. Consistency is nonexistent. Sometimes you get a decent balance of things other times you get a tablespoon of meat and 6 bowls worth of rice. This location is typically pretty clean and never really toooooo busy. But the staff is sometimes pretty clueless. There's often language barriers which translates to getting things you didn't really want. Or a $40 tab when it was really $28 (that was a fun one). I visit this location at a minimum of three times a week since it opened a few years back, but over the last 6 months it's new staff almost daily and everyone is clueless. This week I asked for a certain ingredient (peppers and onions) and the employee put literally one slice of each so I asked for some more (always politely) and he added 1 more piece of each and the customer behind me goes "what's that all about, put the peppers and onions on! Needless to say that was a horrific burrito and almost the final straw at this Moes. Today, I walk in at 14:00 and there is ZERO line, not one person besides the person currently talking to the first employee making her 2 kids meals, one cheese quesadilla and one taco. I was helped very quickly and mine was done in all of 20 seconds, like I said I'm a regular and could do this in my sleep. My burrito was wrapped and left on the counter for 9 minutes while the lady in front of me questioned cookie prices, quantity of guac she was given, and her kids make their minds up about something I couldn't hear. So now she pays, there's a line piling up and mine is missing because they were stacking all the food in random places while we all wait. The girl at the register says it's her first week and she's new to the company, okay so where's your help? The food quality is still good, the place is clean, but it is no exaggeration saying that the employees are steadily declining in their service WEEKLY. I do not complain, I have multiple five Star reviews on local Moes because I love it, I really do but it is becoming a headache and sometimes a nightmare to visit this one. There aren't other Moes near me, there's a Chipotle less than half a mile away and a locally owned Competitor (actually owned by a friend) that are going to steal a customer away because this is becoming intolerable. read more

We used to occasionally go as a family to the one in East Meadow years ago and my mind remembers it as a tasty Mexican treat to behold. We were so excited when they opened up a location closer to our home base. I was promptly disappointed. I don't know if they changed their recipes or if my pallet has changed, but everything seems spicy and/or covered in cilantro. I'm one of those people who's tastebuds do not cooperate with cilantro- it tastes like Lysol to me. I wish Mexican restaurants would realize that a good portion of people just don't enjoy it and stop covering all their dishes in it. I eat Spanish food on a regular basis... home cooked and out in restaurants. IT IS NOT ALL SPICEY nor should it be. Moe's should label the stuff that is spicey, so people who don't like it can avoid it. I don't understand why the rice is spicey!? I used to really enjoy their food, at least that's how I remember it. Now, I won't even order from there when my family does because there's so many things I just don't like. Update: so they wrote a comment to me like aww we feel bad :(((( and private message me aww we feel bad tell us what happened :(((( so I explained the situation and they LEFT ME ON READ. I still haven't heard back from customer service who also said they didn't have the capability to refund me and I'm still waiting on corporate. It's all lies about wanting to make it right. Don't waste your time and money at this business when there's plenty others out there that actually care about their customers I've been to this Moe's a few times and it's been pretty good. Tonight was a disaster. I ordered a burrito bowl with no dressing. I get my bowl home and it no joke had an inch of what I think was bean liquid at the bottom of the bowl. It took FOUR paper towels to soak up the excess liquid. I called the store and the woman I spoke to was rude and didn't even apologize for the disgusting excuse for a burrito bowl. Then she told me she couldn't refund me from the store and I had to call customer service, which has to be the weirdest policy I've ever heard of. We called and they said the computer was down and we have to call in the morning. I'm so annoyed and grossed out and needless to say I will never be returning. I'm attaching some pictures and the first picture with all that liquid was AFTER I already drained the liquid with one paper towel. Didn't get a before before picture. I had a steak burrito with the works but let me tell you it was so gross that I ended up throwing half of it in the trash. Got a salad here today and the people were obnoxious, super stingy with any and all toppings even the lettuce! I don't eat rice and beans so I wanted extra lettuce and I get told it's going to be extra..like wth?! A salad bowl should have sufficient lettuce. You would think that a franchise would be the same everywhere. The girl that was taking my order made me wait until she finished her call on her cell phone in Spanish before she took my order and asked me something in Spanish. I asked if she spoke English and she waited 2 minutes before saying can I help you. She made a very soggy quesadilla, if that's possible. I got it home an threw it out. It was horrible. Just left with my food. Soggy, poorly made quesadilla. Had to ask 3 times for black beans. Lady that rung me up was basically allergic to making eye contact and speaking. Never have left a place without saying "have a good day/night" but took my food and left without a word from the lady behind the register. After working a long day out in the yard, we were coming back from Home Depot and immediately decided to stop at Moe's for dinner. I got two carnitas tacos with the works and the hubby got his loaded steak nachos. Both meals were extremely satisfying and cooked to perfection. We also wound up trying the new avocado salsa and took a container to go since we loved it so much. It was such a refreshing topping. When we want to splurge, we'll definitely be back. read more
