This used to be our go-to restaurant for many years, but we stopped coming for almost two years. We decided to give it another try last night, and we're so glad we did! Everything was excellent. My margarita was spot on , and it was great to see that the menu has been updated with some new options. I ordered the pork chop, and it was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The only small criticism is that it had a little more gravy than I would have preferred, but the flavor was outstanding. It also came with a buttermilk biscuit that was fresh, buttery, and incredibly good. We're happy we gave this place another chance. It feels like they're back on track, and we'll definitely be making this one of our regular spots again. Great job read more

This place is great for what it is! You aren't going to get authentic mexican here, but you are going to get a delicious tex mex meal. I came most recently with my husband and another couple. Half the table got fajitas, the other half got tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We also started off with wings and chips and queso. Everything was very good. Service was also good! Good spot for a casual night out. read more

Stopped in for lunch on Tuesday. They had a $15 Taco Tuesday deal where you can mix and match 3 tacos. The Bluefin Tuna and Shrimp tacos were great, the Mahi Mahi blackened was just good. If you sign up for their Reward Program, you get $20 off your check, so it was basically a free lunch. I will be back! Conner also gave great service! read more

I really liked this spot. They have a few locations but it doesn't feel like a chain. Plenty of friendly folks working here. Attractive happy hour drink specials. Really enjoyed my carnitas enchiladas. Huge amount of rice and beans. I would gladly return! read more

Yummy food and staff is great and attentive. The vibe is very welcoming and tex mex themed!

After a day of running around visiting mom's it was now my turn to go out for Mother's Day. Joe took me for Mexican, one of my very favorites! This was are second time to this location. Pleasantly pleased that it was not overcrowded. We had plenty of parking options in their massive lot. We decided to sit at the bar. I love the oval shape and cool decor of the bar area. It has a nice spacious feel to it. And lots of TV's to observe. Right away we were greeted by staff and complimentary salsa and chips came in seconds. No wait for the water and cocktails to be delivered so we really appreciated that too. The stuffed jalapeños appetizer was delicious and satisfying. Our main meal was chicken fajitas and although the portion was decent the chicken was dry. Unfortunately disappointed but we didn't complain. Overall we enjoyed our special evening and probably would return. Our favorite Del Fuego is in Patchogue however staff is very helpful and pleasant in both towns. read more

We've been patrons of Del Fuego for over 15 years and while we don't get to go there as often as we'd like due to distance, the quality of the food and service remains excellent!!! We just ate there tonight and had awesome service thanks to Nicholas A. and his coworkers. We all loved our meals and the margaritas were on point. read more

Up in the area from NJ to visit family. We were in mood for Mexican. When deciding what to order, there were prices that were misleading on the listed google menu. When they told my family member, we ordered over the phone, the total was 71$ I had her question they had the order correct. We ordered 3 burritos and a regular guacamole. They read everything back correctly. There was a discrepancy between the google pricing and what their pricing actually is. The manager that was on was kind enough to honor the google pricing. With all this being said, my family member went to pick up the food and saw they had 15$ guacamole on the receipt which was not what we ordered. We had ordered the $3 guacamole to go with the chips. They took the huge 15$ guacamole out and replaced it with the tiniest container. Which again, I was astounded that they charged $3 for it. It looked more like we paid for the container it was in as opposed to the food itself. As someone who grew up near the city and currently lives down the shore with a ton of delicious cultured food, I could not believe the pricing. It seemed almost criminal. I've attached pictures of the pricing that was listed and the container of $3 guacamole. Food was decent. I have an amazing restaurant by me that you can feed a family of 5, heaping portions, amazing service, and absolutely delicious food! Call me spoiled, but was floored. read more

Great portion for the grilled chicken burrito bowl and you get a choice of a side. I chose a side salad which came with a citrusy dressing. The chips and house salsa are delicious. The salsa is garlicky and chips were fresh. I prefer the burrito bowls/quesadillas over the tacos. Inside is casual and colorful with the tex mex theme. Usually get take out and enjoy this dish! read more

Quesadillas with pork and pineapple- are the best. The PEACH Sangria is delicious. I'll go back soon.

Manager. Went there for dinner and our 2 year old granddaughter wanted to watch the Disney channel on 1 of 4 TV's in the sit down around. There were no more than 12 people eating at around 5:30-7:00. The waiter was very accommodating but the manager came over and said that if someone came in and wanted to watch golf that he would change the channel and despite no one being there he refused to put it on. Incidentally the Players Championship ended at 6 pm and no one came in. Who does that or says that to a 2 year-old? First time and last time for us. read more

Food was delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked! The guac is sooooooo delicious. We came in for a QUICK lunch. My favorite things about this restaurant was the service tho! Those ladies deserve a raise! We had to get in and get out quickly and so we did. Our food arrived fast! I asked for the check while still eating and I got it right away. Not a single problem. Yelpers REALLY got this place wrong! Bland, flavorless, inauthentic disappointment on a plate. The rice tasted like Minute Rice. I'm guessing these positive reviews are from locals who haven't ever traveled anyplace where real TexMex is served. It's possible this place is good for happy hour drinks, but the food was awful. We had high hopes, but no bueno. read more

Authentic Tex Mex at its best! For the life of me, I'm not sure why I don't have more photos from one of my local, go-to favorites. I am a frequent flyer to this cool, low-key spot. I can only surmise that when it arrives at my table (whether it be there at the restaurant or take-out at home) we just literally dig in. It's that good! Now that I'm aware, I'll update with photos on my future visits, which is guaranteed. Also, let's not forget about the service here...just like it's food everyone from the wait staff to the cashiers to its managers are super nice & friendly. From the house-made chips & salsa, to nachos, to empanadas, burritos, tacos, fajitas and soooooo much more, you can't go wrong with whatever you order even when you misorder like me. After a very long day, I called in an order on my way home. Unknowingly in my tired state of mind, I ordered a mesquite chicken wrap instead of a mesquite chicken burrito. It wasn't till I pulled it out of the bag looking at it that I distinctly remembered saying, "wrap" not "burrito" -- go figure?!?! If it had been any other place else, I probably would have been so annoyed. Staying true to what I love about Del Fuego, where basically everything they make is yummy, it was indeed delicious. And unfortunately for other Tex Mex places, my foodie bar is hard to compete with Del Fuego. Try it and you won't regret it!! read more

Well I guess it's time for me to admit to the fact that I'm old. There it is, I said it. I don't feel any better but whatever. I really like the food here. A lot of times Mexican places just drown the food in salt, but thankfully del fuego does not which is awesome. The food is flavorful and we had zero issues getting a table for 4 on a Saturday night with no reservation. Back to the part about me being old. This place is LOUD! It wasn't even anywhere near capacity and we were struggling to have a conversation. Next time if the weather permits we might eat outside. read more

Great place for quick lunch with drinks. They have a special lunch menu. We decided to both get three tacos, you get to pick which meat you would like with your tacos and then you can pick the type of shell. You have a choice then of rice and beans or a side of fries. We decided to go with the side of fries and one with rice and beans. We ordered the children's cheese quesadilla and it came with a side of fries. We both had the pineapple margarita, if we had longer, I would've gotten another one. You first start with chips and salsa. Food came out in what seemed like less than 10 minutes. All of the food was great. The staff so attentive and patient. There's a lot of seating, seating at the bar, and even outdoor seating. I would've been happier if there was a changing table in the bathroom but just decided to change the baby in the booth we were sat in ‍ read more

We were sat right outside the door and there wasn't much foot traffic to worry about, overall I'd say the ambience of the restaurant earns at least 1 star by itself. The music playing in the background sounded live, yet it wasn't. The service was great, our server Kenneth was a pleasure to deal with, however he was quite slow with our check when we were finished. The Birria tacos were phenomenal, Burger and Fries were near perfection. The Buffalo Chicken Burrito had an uneven distribution of Buffalo sauce, allowing only 1 in 10 bites to have buffalo sauce in them. Overall, the burrito was alright. This place is a long-standing staple of amazing Mexican food in our quaint little town. As soon as you walk in, it has a warm, upbeat, vibrant atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. Your food comes quickly when you order it as well. I do not drink alcohol due to health conditions, but I have heard the sangria from friends who have dined with me is incredibly fresh and tasty. My favorite go-to meal are the pulled pork tacos with pickled red onions. There are so many taco joints in the general area, but I have never tasted anything like it and it's wonderful. Moist pork, and the pickled red onions are a great foil to the richness of the pork. Fresh tortillas, tasty guacamole.... Yes, I absolutely love this place! One word of advice - the last time we went there in the summertime, they did not take Apple Pay/tap to pay for takeout, and I couldn't find my debit card at the time so I had to go to the bank and take cash out. Not a big deal - just good to know! read more

Del Fuego has always been our go to Mexican spot. Always good food, drinks and service. Although last night I was quite disappointed. I was there with my husband and 2 year old son. My 2 year old started to get fussy after we paid so we left quickly not to disturb others and left our leftovers on the table. We brought my son out to the car and it was then I realized I forgot my leftovers. My husband went back inside, no exaggeration, 2 minutes later and our table was completely cleaned and leftovers were gone. My husband asked a worker if they had them and they said no. I couldn't believe they would throw them away within 2 minutes. We had a decent amount of leftovers left. I've worked in restaurants before and we keep leftovers at least 10min to see if patron would return. read more

Good people, good vibes and good food. Love Tex Mex in general and Del Fuego hits the spot whenever I have a craving. We come out to Long Island in the summer and make it a point to stop at Del Fuego. We love the shrimp burrito. I love coming to Del Fuego - probably the best Mexican food you can get for the price and the ambience when you're inside the restaurant. My good friend's uncle owns all of the franchises and so I pay homage to that all the time. Our server Tommy was a sweetheart. Someone didn't like their drink at the table and he got us a new one immediately - with no hesitation he switched them.
