The birria tacos were amazing!! The consome - i sipped it after i finished my tacos. I wouldn't get the chicken tacos again. I didn't branch out and try a bunch of menu items that intrigued me because it was my first visit. But excited for next time because i bet their creations are bomb read more

Ordered through Uber Eats. They had buy one get one free "cheesy chorizo tacos". Which is two cheesy pan fried tacos with mozzarella cheese, queso blanco and pico de gallo. They are good, a little spicy but way too greasy for my liking. Cheap and good so no complaints but I probably would get something else next time. They came with chips but no dip.. read more

Ordered take out for the first time here and it won't be the last. I really enjoyed everything that I got. One of my favorite things is empanadas. And their meat and cheese empanadas are one of the best. Very flaky crust and the meat is flavorful and plenty of cheese. I get enchiladas from places like this and at first I didn't think they had any until I noticed they had birria enchiladas which I think was a new item. Usually I would only get chicken but they didn't have that so I decided to try them and I'm glad I did. These honestly might be my favorite enchiladas. It also came with rice and beans. The enchilada sauce was good as well and it was topped with sour cream. Can't wait to have these again. Last but not least I had to try a taco. If you mess up a taco, chances are I'm not going back. They already won me over with the empanada and enchiladas so I would make an exception but the taco was awesome too. Whatever they season their meat with really gives everything a great flavor. Everything was very fresh and can't wait to go back for those enchiladas. read more

Nice people, reasonable prices, and a good spot for Mexican food in the city if you are craving it.

The servers were so friendly when I walked in. I was exceptionally impressed by their patience while I decided on what to order. I ended up ordering two chicken tacos with pico de gallo, and a side of guacamole. When I got home, the pico de gallo was lacking, cilantro and tomatoes, and seemed like nothing but onions, and very few dried out tomatoes. However, I may return there in the future Because of good customer service. read more

From the second you walk in (or place your order), you know this isn't going to be your run‑of‑the‑mill taco spot. The atmosphere is vibrant yet warm and welcoming -- modern touches, clean space, colorful decor, attentive staff, and just enough energy to make it feel fun without being chaotic. Multiple reviewers mention how friendly the service is, how the staff clearly care, and how the place feels like it was designed with people in mind. Now the food -- this is where Chico's shines: Fresh & Flavorful: Every dish feels like it's made carefully. The birria tacos are routinely praised ("busssssinnnn" is how one reviewer put it), the empanadas are golden, the fajitas arrive sizzling, the burritos are generously filled. Chamber of Commerce Great Variety: Whether you're craving something classic (tacos, burritos, chimichangas) or want to try something a bit more inventive (street corn, different bowls, vegetarian/vegan options), there's something for everyone. They also offer gluten‑free options in many cases. Find Me Gluten Free Generous Portions & Fair Prices: You don't leave hungry, and you don't feel like you've overpaid. I ordered one pork and one shrimp street taco and they did not disappoint. Sooo yummy. The tacos were outstanding, hardy and flavorful. I felt I received the quality food I am always seeking and so few times find. I ordered inside and sat at an open table to wait, it was only a few min and the staff brought it to me at the table. That was so nice, she let me know about the extra sauce available in the case for you to self serve. Very generous, thank you. I tried the dark red and red and they both had a good kick . The chips and salsa were not my favorite part of the meal but I did enjoy them, I look forward to returning. read more

This by far was such a let down. I ordered a BBQ empanada and was very upset with results. This came in an over cooked shell and did not taste anything like BBQ. The inside was covered in a slimy vinegar tasting sauce. I did not even finish my meal, It honestly made me nauseas. Maybe other items are better but if your looking for a good empanada please do not order from here. read more

This place came highly recommended by several people, we had to try it. Mostly for take out, but you can eat there as well, about 6-8 tables. Counter service was very friendly. I ordered a shrimp chalupa, birria Taco, and ground beef & cheese empanada, I wanted to try a variety of the food offered. My husband ordered the steak/chicken/Shrimp Fajitas. We stayed in to eat, and they brought chips and salsa to the table. The food & service was so quick, and they were fairly business. The birria Taco, was pulled pork and mozzarella, served with lime and something like an au jus on the side. The Taco was so nicely grilled - it was amazing!!! The empanada was bursting, it was so generously filled. The pastry was golden and crispy. The chalupa was also delicious and generously filled as well. My husband enjoyed the Fajitas, a very nice size portion, with cheese, guacamole and beans. Prices were reasonable, in line with Tex Mex/taqueria food. We will absolutely be back!!! read more

I am LOVING this food!!! I've been ordering from here lately and trying different things and I'm never disappointed. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Tonight we decided to stop in. It was more of a take out place, but there were a few tables set up, so we ordered and ate there. The girl at the counter had such a great disposition! I was very pleased with the whole experience. Wow!!! This has taken the place of an old favorite of mine Selden Grill. I was sad at first but Chicos Tex Mex holds up to my high standard and is absolutely outstanding. The Birrio fried taco is something I never had before but it's perfect every single succulent bite. The burrito laughs in your face because of sheer girth. You think to yourself, how the hell will I finish this monster!? But you will! It's too delicious to stop. I honestly can't wait for my next visit! read more

Chicos Tex Mex - Chicken Chipotle bacon burrito - Tex-Mex Near Me - Selden, New York

I like the food. My husband likes the food. The rest of house mates say it's ok. The crunchy options are great eating in or quickly getting to its destination without losing crunch. The flavors are really good. I found the ground beef option was a tad salty. Birria Barbacoa is my personal favorite protein on everything. The chips are great. Fries are seasoned lightly and waffled. The churro is good just too sweet for my tastebuds but my daughter loved them. She loves sweets. I'm interested in trying the Birria ramen. Lots to choose from. Def going to be one of the regular spots because of taste, quality, friendly staff and price is not as bad as other places that lack love in their food. Like all my reviews... I hope they do not change their ways. Consistency is hard to find. Ps it's yummmmmmmmmy all of it! read more

Second time door dash delivery from Chicos. The food is great. Portion sizes are appropriate for the price. Salsa and chips, delish. Street corn cheesy and sweet, shrimp street tacos spicy and fresh.
