She then heavily implied that this was just a formality and she just needed the paperwork for her files to get the discount through. It was COVID and I was tired and dumb and believed her. Now of course my 10 year old equipment is completely non-functional and we no longer even need the system in our new place and we are getting charged a fee to cancel.
