Very professional, fast and quality work. I have always used them for my keys. Now they have limited opening hours so check before you go. Personal service is going the way of the Dodo. Sadly. read more

Knowledgeable technician, professional, timely, trustworthy, friendly. Good workmanship. Neat and clean.

I had an appointment for 8:30 AM, but the Ace Lock employee got lost and showed up at 9:30 AM. He was very friendly and talkative. He changed five locks in my doors and gave me four sets of keys. One of the locks was put on backward, so the knob side was outside and the key side was inside. My husband pointed out the error, and the locksmith corrected it. All of the keys and locks work well. The total cost was $168. read more

These guys know what they're doing. Needed duplicates of two trailer keys. Done in 5 minutes, $5. The only knock was the shop was a little hard to get to. read more

Great service and price. They duplicated 3 house keys in less than 5 minutes and was on my way. Thanks read more

Best locksmith in Pittsburgh, without exception. We used them when we moved into our new house 16 years ago. They rekeyed the whole house for far less money than I would have expected. My wife has used them for all of her rental houses ever since. She is always pleased not only with the cost but their great response time. The other week one of her tenants had a break-in (while they were home. The had left their keys in the door). Ace Lock was out within an hour of opening the next morning to change the locks. Their service call fee is always more than reasonable, no matter what the circumstances. In another instance, I have a vintage motorcycle that had the key broken off in the lock. Not expecting much, I took the lock in to them without a lot of hope. They were not only able to take the blade out of the slot, they were able to make a new key from the blank I had. In addition, they gave me the number I need to make another key in case I lose the new one. They only charged me $25 for what was a skillful and difficult job, not taking into account my desparation read more

Exceeded expectations. I needed some help with four lock sets, at 10 AM I called Ace (based on Yelp! reviews) and a very pleasant woman told they'd be there the same afternoon. Sounded good. What was even better? They showed up less than an hour later! Since when do service technicians show up several hours early? Mike took care of the job quickly, efficiently and at a very reasonable price. read more

One of the key components (LOL) of the success of this business has got to be Tony. He is absolutely professional, positively punctual and just an all-around courteous and friendly employee of the company read more

I had a deadbolt/door handle assembly on my front door that I was convinced had been installed improperly, and after a couple of years of dealing with its maddening idiosyncrasies, it failed entirely and I was no longer able to enter my house through my front door. I called Ace Lock, and they sent over Matthew who immediately recognized that the entire assembly had been installed by someone who clearly didn't know what they were doing, just as I'd suspected. Matthew tore apart the entire assembly, made the appropriate fixes and adjustments, and in the end was able to show me features of my door handle assembly that I didn't even know I had. To top it all off, he arrived within an hour of my call, and he accomplished the entire repair operation within an hour of his arrival at my home. He clearly knew his business and was thoroughly professional in every way. I couldn't be more pleased with my front door, and I couldn't be more pleased with Ace Lock for their great, prompt service. I give them my highest recommendation. read more

Contrary to what it says above, they actually are open on the weekends. I wish I knew that so I wouldn't have ended up with another locksmith who insisted they needed to drill our lock open. Wasted so much money that way. Should have gone to Ace first. They fixed the lock for $230 (they had to come out) and they said they would have opened it the first time for $120, not the $187 I was charged for drilling into our door. read more

Fabulous and fast service! Couldn't be more helpful! Asked for a copy of keys and the turn around was less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend

Probably my third review of ace hotel but it feels like the first. Odd that everyone raves about this place that literally only sells locks and stuff to secure your home. But I get it. Still out of razor clams. Better luck next time on that one. Or should I say better lock! Happy hour so-so read more

Fantastic service. Helpful and knowledge staff. What more could you ask for? Seriously, skip Home Depot and get your keys made here. They fixed my broken lock in no time! read more

These guys are the best! Fairly priced, efficient and very customer focused. I've used them over the years and most recently had a service call with them that ended on a very positive note. When they came over, I'd just solved the problem myself before I had a chance to call them back...they waived the service charge due to me being a regular customer. I highly recommend them for jobs big and small. read more

I had never been there before, but in a recent move a file cabinet was locked and we couldn't find the key. I put it in our van and drove it to Ace, arriving before their official opening time of 8 am . They were already open and when I described the problem one of their people came out to the van to look at the cabinet. He pulled out some lock picking tools and had it open in perhaps three minutes. He looked in the drawers and found the keys. Of course I was happy and asked how much I owed. We went inside where he conferred with a colleague. The charge was $0.00. I thanked them and was on my way home by 8:10. The office looked very professional and I would certainly go there again if I had another problem. I wouldn't even object if they charged me! read more

Excellent service and troubleshooting. Tony is the best. Quick reliable service. We would not hesitate to call them again.

Extremely satisfied with the service that was provided by Ace Lock. Their technician showed up on time, and got to work right away. It is refreshing to see a craftsman who is proud of his work, and wants to get the job done quickly. read more

Excellent business. Professional courteous and extremely knowledgeable people who charge a fair price and do exceptional work. Don't go to Home Depot for key copies which won't even work. Get them here. Don't call a random sketchy locksmith, use Ace. Best locksmiths I've interacted with period. They DO have after hours service. Use this place for all your lock and key related needs. read more

I already had a transponder key for my truck but needed the key cut so I could use it. They did it right then and didn't charge me anything.

Easy Breezy - in and out in under 5-minutes and all the keys fit perfectly.

I called this company to get a quote to rekey or exchange two locks after losing a house key in the shuffle of my recent wedding. I was told there was an $82 service charge for the first hour (every other place I called was a standard flat $29.99 service charge) and I was offered $15 to rekey each lock instead of replacing them. Someone from the company called me back and at that time I very politely asked to clarify whether they thought rekeying the two locks would take more than 1 hour because I did not want to get stuck with extra unanticipated charges. (I don't think this was an unreasonable question to ask). Out of nowhere the guy's tone completely changed and became extremely impatient and patronizing, stating what I already knew, that the "FIRST" hour was $82 and that if I had two cylinders it should take exactly one hour, skirting my question of whether I would be charged more. Then he started saying something about how his truck's key maker didn't work and he would have to bring the exact keys out and really impatiently asked me to find my current key and read him the serial number. At that point, I just said, don't worry about it I'll find someone else. read more

Great guys there. Brought in a broken lock that it turned out they couldn't do much with but they spent well over an hour helping me and providing guidance on a replacement which they didn't even have to sell me (not lack of inventory, just different category - was more of a Home Depot product) Extremely professional, personable, and helpful staff. Will always come back with any locksmithing needs! read more

Perfect place to get keys copied. Customer service is great, prices are affordable, and it was easy to get in and out. I will go back next time I need any key/lock services. read more

I needed to have copies of file cabinet keys made. For one of the keys, they had no blanks but told me how I could get them online. They were able to make copies of the other key and didn't charge me for them! Outstanding service. read more

As someone who relies on reviews, I was anticipating great service from Ace Lock. And following my appointment this morning, I now see why they score highly. Not only was my initial call met with a friendly, and patient voice, but, they traveled a bit outside of their service area to take care of me. As they had promised, the locksmith (Tony) called 30 minutes prior to arriving and was on time. He was friendly, and caught an issue about my deadbolt that I wasn't even aware of. My perception is that he genuinely enjoys his job. I'm very happy and satisfied that I called Ace Lock and would gladly recommend them to friends and family. read more

Loran installed three new locks (or, some combination of new locks and fixing the existing locks) last week, and we really appreciated his kind manner, efficient work, careful attention to detail, and the happy outcome that all of the doors and locks are working well at our house for the first time since we moved in. Would recommend. read more
