He was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and was able to get my smart key fob replaced and synced up with the car. Some of the other locksmiths in the area wouldn't even provide an actual quote, but he was great. Highly recommended. read more

My wife and I were having trouble with the lock and latch on the front door on our home. We reached out to Bar's Locksmith and are so glad we did! Bar showed up at our home about 1 hour outside of Pittsburgh within a few hours. We explained what we thought the issue was and he quickly got to work. He had all the tools he needed to do the job properly and explained everything he was going to do to fix what he had found to be the problem. When the job was completed he thoroughly reviewed what he had done and what may need to be done in the future with the doors threshold should we have an issue. Bar was very Pleasent, worked quickly and cleaned up everything after the repair was completed. Pricing was very affordable and my wife and I could not be happier with the job he did. If you need a professional, courteous, great all around locksmith... look no further, and call Bar. read more

I am late in posting this review, but wanted to be sure to do so. Bar, his approach and his work were all amazing -- I cannot recommend him highly enough. He was very thoughtful in reviewing my previous setup and recommending and installing what really amounted to a full security plan for all doors and windows. He is personable, kind and really cares about his customers. His installation and work were impeccable, and all was performed at a very fair price. Please do call Bar for all of your locksmith needs. read more

On April 29, 2025, I was locked out of my residence due to a very bad storm and tornado that came through my neighborhood; the police could not help although they tried, the fire department was too busy; but the Owner of Bar's Locksmith at 12:30am promised me he would find a way to get to my home and help. This was not an easy task due to giant trees and power lines blocking most roads to my home. As promised he arrived 40 minutes later in a total pitch black power outage and had me in the house within 5 minutes. What this gentleman went through to get to me was above and beyond, but true to his word he made it to my home and got me safely inside. There is not enough praise for the integrity of this man; he charged a fair price which in and of itself is incredible given the dire circumstances which prevailed at the time. He also went so far to provide light so I could get my dog outside, remained to help and asked if he could facilitate further to make sure I felt safe since everything was completely dark. When in need of anything to do with Locks, call Bar's (412) 660-0476 first because this man is a first class gentleman and does exceptional work for a fair price. read more

I called in the morning and the owner came the same day. He was skilled, knowledgeable, and efficient, giving a very fair quote for the work and explaining what he was doing. He also took the time to ensure perfect alignment and correct some minor issues from a prior installment such as short screws, which was above and beyond what we initially requested. Highly recommend. read more

I lost one of the keys to my car and needed to have copy made. I imagined it would be a tricky job because the key was fairly specialized -- a metal key that fit into the fob. Bar was able to find and order the key I needed for my car and accommodate my schedule. Bar was honest professional from the very first call. He even suggested reaching out to a competitor at first because he thought they might provide a lower price. That immediately made me trust him, and I would have gone with him even had his service cost more. He clearly takes pride in his work and took the time to ensure the key he was cutting was accurate and to explain the process so I understood what he was doing. I definitely recommend his services. read more

I contacted Bar's for a whole house rekey after purchasing a new home. Bar was awesome, he worked quickly, efficiently and in a way that would reduce cost instead of adding to it. He went above and beyond by fixing all our doors to make sure all doors functioning smoothly. He truly seemed to care about our safety instead of just doing the job and leaving. We moved into a new home and wanted to get the locks changed. We had some issues with our front door (it was very sticky, hung incorrectly, the locks were malfunctioning) as well as our front screen door (the handle hung loosely, the door closed slowly). We only hoped to be able to rekey the locks at this point, but Bar took the time to investigate and explain in detail what was causing all of our door related issues. He was very knowledgeable and gave some great advice for how we can fix the more complicated issues related to the door and framing. He tried his hardest to fix any of the issues that he could, even going above and beyond to find and install parts for the screen door. We'll definitely call him again if we have any other locksmithing that needs done. read more
