But if you're looking for a change and want to go to a place where they genuinely care, then Luminous Nail Bar is the place to go to! I have been going here for almost two years and refuse to go anywhere else. I tell all my friends about it and I'm always posting pictures of my nails on social media so people can see! At Luminous, everyone is always so friendly when I arrive and throughout my time there. Daphne, the receptionist, is there when I go and she's always make me feel welcomed. Susy does my nails and she always does an amazing job! As you can see from the pictures, she is so detailed and my nails ALWAYS look good. I genuinely love coming here because it's an inviting place and while I'm there it's like an escape from everything else I have going on. We chit chat, laugh, and have a good time which makes the experience more enjoyable. I always leave the salon in a great mood. Tracy usually does my pedicures and she's amazing. Anytime I'm there for just a manicure, she always says hi to me and I really appreciate that. Angelica is amazing as well and does amazing work, I'd definitely recommend her as well! Before coming here, I never was a regular at a nail salon and was never content with my nails. But after finding this gem of a place, I have not gone anywhere else! I recently moved and I'm farther from the salon, but I still make the drive because it is 100% worth it. I always love my nails and how they turn out. During my most recent appointment, I got a gel pedicure that took about two hours. I have acrylic on both of my big toes and I mentioned ahead of time that one of them was lifting slightly. I told the technician that if it needed to be replaced, I was completely okay with that. I chose a really pretty pink color, but unfortunately it turned out to be very sheer. By the time the service was finished, you could clearly see the acrylic lifting underneath, and one of the acrylics is slightly discolored, which shows through the polish. Because of that, I'm not comfortable wearing open-toed shoes. For $65 and two hours in the chair, I left feeling really disappointed. My first visit also had some issues. I asked for Gel-X, and it seemed like it might have been the first time the technician had done that service. The nails were all slightly different shapes, and when I got home I realized a topcoat was missed on my thumb. I ended up walking around for three weeks with one nail looking different from the rest. At the time, I assumed it was just a fluke since it was Valentine's Day and the salon was very busy with kids running around in the lobby. I truly wanted this place to work out and gave it a second chance, but unfortunately my experiences haven't been consistent. I hope they continue to grow and improve because the salon really does have potential.

The worse head spa of my life!!! I can't believe I spend $100 on this crap. Where do I begin…read more... For starters I made an appointment when I arrived they were clueless about my appt. I specifically asked if they blow dry and style the hair after it's been shampooed and she said yes. She still took me in but she seemed so lost (that should've been my red flag). They made me lay down on the most uncomfortable bed table where my neck didn't reach the sink. The room Was hot with no AC and no relaxing music it was dead. She started to supposedly do head massages using these tools that were cheap and horrible and didn't make my scalp feel good at all. She would only massage with them for 10 seconds and move on to some else so uncomfortable. She then put some eucalyptus oil on my neck and shoulders and started massaging me with her knuckles! I told her it was painful and very uncomfortable so she stopped. She then started to shampoo my hair and after I asked if she could put some treatment bcuz it was dry. She wasn't going to but since I told I'd pay extra she did. She then proceeded to wash my face and add a scrubber leaving my skin dry afterward. It gets worse! She had no intentions of putting any moisturizer on my face! I told her aren't you going to add facial cream. She then said oh u want cream?! She then proceeded to put body lotion on my face!!! Wtff! At this point I was so over it! I wasn't relaxed as I thought I would be and my hair felt hard from the cheap products they use. Then we go to the blow drying station and I see her add some basic spray and just do a quick blow like half assed. I then said aren't you going to blow dry and style and wait for it!!! She says oh sorry we don't do style here. I wanted to scream! I told her I specifically asked you if you style and you said yes or else I would've never stayed!!! I have a concert to attend and wanted to look nice and now I look like the scarecrow! Gets even worse!!!. I then had to take it upon myself and start to blow dry my OWN hair!!! I paid $100 to fckn blow dry my own hair!!!! I could've saved $100 and done all this shit in my own home and done a better job! I've been to so many head spas and was excited there was one finally close to home but it was the worst experience of my life!!! Please don't waste your time and money at this place! They don't know what they are doing and aren't qualified for this stuff! She even had the audacity to assume I would tip her like TF!!! I'm so disappointed never again! Stay away!
