I love Modern Market eatery. This is one of the first places I tried when I moved to Colorado. I have tried many items on their menu through the years. Some of my favorites are the pizzas and sandwiches (the mushroom pizza is amazing and the tuna sandwiches are amazing)! The service is very friendly and on top of things. You can tell it is a well organized and managed restaurant that cares about the product they are making for their customers. The ambiance of the restaurant is very modern and clean. They do have your typical sodas they have Colorado versions of your normal options which are still very good. I will definitely keep coming to modern market! Give it a try read more

I like the food but went into the restaurant this past weekend and it was absolutely the most filthy restaurant I have ever been in. Every single table had not been cleaned. The bathroom was out of soap! It makes you wonder how the employees were washing their hands... honestly, it was so filthy I've thought about calling the health department. read more

This review is specific to the Highlands Ranch restaurant. I have been to several other MM locations over the past few years and always had a positive experience. My visit to this one was quite disappointing, however. I don't think I'll return to this restaurant. Our simple order of 3 items somehow got all screwed up. We received another tables food and never got one of the items we paid for. The young woman who rang us up and brought our food was totally clueless with the mistake. We had to re-purchase the missing item (a soup) in order to correct the error. Unfortunately, the food was not fresh at all and both of our meals arrived cold. Not sure exactly what happened this evening, but we definitely came on a bad night, apparently. Not a single person came over to clarify or apologize for the mix up. The manager/owner/franchisee of this restaurant should really work towards correcting these issues. Maybe it explains why the restaurant was totally dead at 6:30pm. Not a good sign... I'll stick with the Hampden location instead. read more

Food was very good. Service staff was fast friendly and smiling. The dining area was cold. Spouse (who is going through "the change") even said it was cold. The tables were cleared but not wiped clean. When food and utensils were brought to our table, one of the knives had leftover food stuck to it. read more

What a strange mix of comments here! It's either you love it or hate it--my experience was excellent from the moment i walked in the door to the last bite of pizza i took! Super friendly staff rang me up--assisted me with question on the menu! Ended up getting the pepperoni pizza which was huge--and amazingly clocking in at only 950 calories for the entire thing! The crust was cooked to perfection in a wood-fire oven on site! The tomato sauce was fresh as was olive oil and cheese. Let me start by saying that I really do like Modern Market. The food is pretty good, but I've just had a string of bad luck here. More often than not, orders come wrong. I generally only remove tomatoes from salads, but inevitably out meals are made with an error or two. It's not a huge deal, but it seems to happen pretty regularly, which is a bit of a bummer. A few months back, I came in around at 9:30am on a weekday for a waffle. They failed to turn on the waffle maker that day, but didn't mention it until I asked if my order was ready (about 20 minutes later). I told them I would continue to wait. Another 15 minutes passed and they told me they couldn't get the waffle crispy, so it would be another few minutes. Fast forward another 10+ minutes and they told me the waffle maker wasn't hot enough and they would have to try again. After 40 minutes, I had to leave for work. It wasn't until I walked toward the door that someone offered me a refund. I stayed away for a while after that, but decided to get a salad today. I was half way through when I noticed a dead fly mixed in dressing and smashed on a lettuce leaf. I actually sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure out whether or not I should say something or not. Ultimately, I figured I wouldn't rock the boat. I just cleaned my table and left. After so many issues, I think I'm done here. The high local, and organic food sourcing that they practice, the way they embrace special community meal-sharing for teachers, vets, people who may be struggling due to weather, or families of the STEM tragedy really says a lot about who they are. I had the privilege of attending an event here and must say I was very excited to do so, but even happier to see that this place offers a gluten free bread and pizza crust that taste delicious!! I work with many paleo peeps and I knew their first question will be about the breads. I got to sample the gluten free mozzarella arugula which was my favorite with a close second on the basil chicken sandwich. The salmon club was tasty as well but I prefer my salmon sashimi style. Also tasted the Superfood (yum!! They say its their best seller and see why), the Farmer and Roasted Beet salads. Everyone at my table loved the Beet so as a non beet lover I tried it too. Beets are still not my bag but if they are yours-get this! Lastly I got to try the Crimini Kale, M'Rita and Prosciutto pizzas. The prosciutto was the standout with no sauce but the Gorgonzola and three cheese blend, arugula and pear. They have ten salad options including build-your-own, six toasted sandwich options, several pizzas, soup, played (1 protein, 2 sides) and breakfast options including oats, scrambles sandwiches, waffles and plates. Wow. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem in the old Schlotsky's spot. Fresh, tasty food with a healthy, artisan spin? And they use local produce? Count me in! The flavor combinations at Mod Market are sure to please any palate, as there's an abundance of options. Even better, sections of the menu change seasonally based on what fresh local produce is available at the time! This summer, there were fantastic berry and watermelon options in addition to many other seasonal items, ranging from pizza and sandwiches to soups and salads. I was torn between a blueberry pesto sandwich and Pauladori sausage pesto pizza (I'm a pesto kind of gal!), so I ended up getting both. I know. Oink oink. The great thing is you can order a half pizza (12 inch diameter) and you can even make it a combo with a cup of soup or a salad. The food was amazing. Seriously, the flavors were so delicious, noticeable but not overpowering. The blueberry pesto sandwich was toasted to perfection, with fresh mozzarella, chicken, basil pesto, and a balsamic blueberry compote. The pizza was also quite delicious: a thin, whole wheat crust with basil pesto, generous amounts of sausage, sun dried tomato slivers and an olive oil drizzle. The layout is a bit interesting here. You order your food, take a buzzer, sit down at a table or bar, and wait for the beeping lights signaling your delicious meal is ready. Artsy cafe meets school cafeteria when you grab your plastic meal tray and choose your utensils. The glass cup you get on your tray is chilled and frosted for you...all the better to enjoy their home-brewed tea with! The atmosphere indoors is bright, with an industrial feel (think exposed ceilings and hanging, swinging light bulbs) and soft music. The outdoor seating is shaded and pleasant in the summer time. Perhaps the most striking thing for me, aside from the amazing food, was that the manager/owner (didn't catch his name) went around to every table periodically to make sure everyone was doing ok and even offered to refill glasses! Overall, I have to say I'm rather impressed with this place. A good, filling meal for about $12. Not bad! I might not eat here every day as it's a tad bit expensive, hence a 4.5 rating, but I can definitely see this becoming my splurge lunch joint when I'm in Colorado. read more

One of my most favorite restaurant...i have been going there every weekend... however, I had worst experience and customer service last weekend. Week before I had ordered(pick up) 2 portions of bacon on side, however I got 1 portion. I called and manager told me he was sorry and will put my name for free entree next time. Last weekend I ordered breakfast with 2 portions of bacon and I repeated 3 times what i meant. When i went to pick up below were the issues 1) again...only 1 bacon portion on side 2) when i complained, the lady/girl was not happy about my complaint and packed additional bacon, slammed it on counter 3) the manager (Christian i guess) took $ off for the bacon and said he will report back to call center that takes the order 4) after reaching home found out that the rocket sandwich with extra side of basil sauce was added on sandwich and not on side 5) take a look at the sandwich(posted photo) no argula, tomatoes. I had this sandwich many times before (egg white, extra basil sauce on side) ..never ever had such a bad sandwich and customer service 6) and yes they did not have my name as promised by manager last week. Probably never going to eat here again. I've had their salads and pizza before and they've been alright. Definitely things I would get again. I decided to get their steak sandwich on my last visit a few days ago. It was the worst steak meal I've ever had. I don't think the ingredients go that well together but the bigger issue was with the steak. Absolutely inedible. I basically had a veggie, bread, sauce sandwich because I had to take so much steak out. As a sandwich, the steak should easily fall apart with each bite and shouldn't be fatty. One piece I would be fine with being bad but I don't trust a restaurant that thought this was a good meal to serve to customers. My family and I took it to go for a picnic so I was unable to have them remake it or get a refund. A real shame their chefs thought this was okay. read more

Mmmk, I love this place. I do, it's delicious. But I will say what happened recently has possibly changed my taste for the worse. I order off of uber eats for a delivery. I'm a sauce kind of person, I love sauce. Naturally I want a side of sauce with my sandwich. Well I forgot to put it on so i called the general hotline (seems a little impersonal considering you're connected with someone who doesn't even work in the restaurant). Anyway, after two attempts I was able to get a hold of someone, and to my dismay she wasn't able to help me. Why? Because it was dinner rush and the sauce costs "extra". Really? I just paid $25 for two sandwiches and you're not even going to allow me to call the people preparing my order to see if i can get a little extra sauce? Stingy. Hannah and another call center person refused to do anything to help aside from Give a coupon for the food they never gave us and the other call center person actually hung up on me when I asked her her name. Hannah refused to tell me the othe call center workers name as well. Every single thing had an issue. The Mediterranean bowl we ordered was drenched in dressing served on a plate not a bowl which seems to limit portion size. The farmers salad came with a half filled dressing that had clearly been spilled and just dumped into the salad as well. The Salmon Caesar salad with added avocado was charged as such and didnt have the avocado and the merida salad didnt come with cheese it was supposed to have as well. Hannah and the mystery worker said they don't do refunds at all apparently. Way to go restaurant that doesn't prioritize its patrons. The name was messed up on the order they didnt give us n order number and our receipt doesn't even have the totals on it. Avoid this place like the plague. Get mad greens instead. read more
