From the very beginning they were professional responsive and transparent about the design and construction project. Payman took the time to explain different design options in detail--outlining clear timelines, estimated costs, and how each plan would fit my goals and budget. His approach was thoughtful and collaborative, ensuring that every design decision made sense for my home's layout and potential. Throughout the process, communication was excellent. Payman and his team kept me updated on city approvals, vendor coordination, and project timelines. They were patient in answering all my questions and flexible with revisions as the design evolved. I truly appreciated their honesty, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. It's clear that Bay Area Design and Construction takes great pride in their workmanship and client satisfaction. I would highly recommend Payman to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy design and construction team in the Bay Area.

The work was excellent, but what really impressed me was the follow-up. A year later, Payman sent his crew back just to handle the little adjustments that come with a house settling. Even years later, he's still helpful whenever I need to get in touch with one of his subcontractors for maintenance. Because of that trust, I hired him again last year for a major remodel of my vacation home, and he didn't disappoint me as always. Payman is easily the most responsive contractor I've worked with, he gets back to every email within 24 hours, no matter how complex the issue is. His project management is top-tier. The crew is respectful and polite, and they actually finished the job ahead of schedule. It's rare to find a contractor who is this efficient and actually stands by their work long-term. Highly recommended.

Communication was clear and consistent, so we always knew what was happening and what to expect next. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really stood out -- from the cabinetry and countertops to the finishes and overall layout. The crew was respectful of our home, kept the job site clean, and stayed on schedule as much as possible. Any questions or small adjustments were handled quickly and professionally. The final result exceeded our expectations, and our kitchen looks and functions better than we imagined. We would absolutely recommend Wise Builders to anyone considering a kitchen remodel and would gladly work with them again!

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

Overall the experience was very good; Elijah and Bryan were super friendly and responsive. Eli was very patient and accommodating as we discussed several different potential change orders, from new windows to painting, to other misc. things that popped up. Bryan Luna was especially a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and proactivity to solve any little thing I mentioned was definitely the highlight of working with Prime. Their contracted electrician, Hector, was great as well. I also think they did a great job building out a cabinet to fit our freezer next to the matching fridge. Their master carpenter managed to salvage our existing wood to make it match perfectly. Definitely better than what I'd expect from even a carpentry specialty contractor. I will mention that it wasn't without some snags. Prime deals in volume so they're very busy. I think because I had delays in sourcing a freezer I ended up not getting a dedicated project manager for some time. We had timeline issues made worse with holidays. This caused cascading delays which inevitably pushed back my move in date a few weeks. When I finally did get a new project manager, they ghosted me (later on I found out they had a family emergency). Eli had to step in again to help. Another thing is that their pricing is quite opaque. The estimate will break down prices by milestones, but they repeated told me that it's not a valuation of the milestone itself. This made it nigh impossible to understand if I wanted to contract out specific pieces of the project (e.g. flooring). Design was OK. I felt that the designer was very busy. Sometimes very responsive (5min replies), sometimes not responsive at all (no reply). I wish I had a better, more thorough back-and-forth session about the intricacies of the design. But we made do. Ultimately, the designer made a render and helped point us to some vendors, but from there we had to make our own selection alone (cabinets, handles, pendant lights, faucets, etc.). I did appreciate her presence when we picked out countertops, though. All in all, I think this was a 4.5 star job, but I'm rounding to 5 because of Eli and Bryan :)

Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

Caution for Future Buyers - Edenbridge Homes (Napa Waterstone)…read more We love the design and location of our new home at Napa Waterstone, but our experience with Edenbridge Homes has been extremely disappointing. The main issue is poor workmanship and lack of quality control from their subcontractors, followed by weak follow-up from management. Soon after moving in, our dishwasher leaked water onto our new floors because the drain hose had been cut during installation. Then we discovered that our refrigerator had been dropped before move-in -- the front feet were bent, the base had been screwed together to hold it in place, and the hardwood flooring underneath was damaged. The replacement process was chaotic. The same installers returned unprepared to protect the new flooring, and then failed to show up again as scheduled, leaving us living out of an ice chest for days. We've also had drywall cracks and finish flaws, and now a large gap around our cooktop caused by poor measurements and hasty installation. What's even more disappointing is the lack of accountability from Edenbridge leadership. Our email to Patrick Geary, President of Edenbridge, received no response, and follow-up from Chris Gatley, VP of Operations, was minimal and ineffective. The homes themselves look great from the outside, but the build quality and management attention have fallen far short of expectations. Future buyers should be cautious -- inspect everything thoroughly, and don't assume Edenbridge will stand behind their work once you move in.

However, now being in my home for 2 years, me and several neighbors are experiencing issues with peeling paint, leaking windows, and melting plumbing (due to plastic piping being run too close to the fireplace). In my case, the exterior paint is peeling off in several places due to not being initially primed. In one area I noticed, they even left the label on the wood trim and just painted over it- of course, that has now peeled off leaving exposed wood. Because the 1 year warranty period is expired and exterior paint is considered by Edenbridge to be 'fit and finish', the company refuses to stand behind their work and fix it. One neighbor has already had to hire an outside company to repaint their entire home at a cost of several thousand dollars. I, and the rest of my neighbors with similar wood exteriors are going to have to do the same. Exterior paint should last at least 5 years- not 2.

From the first meeting, the team took the time to understand not just how we use the space, but also what kind of atmosphere we wanted for family dinners and evenings with friends. They proposed solutions that were modern yet warm, clean lines natural materials and lighting choices that make the space feel inviting without being overdesigned. What I really appreciated was their attention to detail. Things like flow between the kitchen and dining area, sightlines to the garden and even how the furniture would interact with the architecture, all of it was considered. Communication was excellent throughout: clear updates, quick responses and they navigated the city requirements smoothly so I didn't have to. The result feels both stylish and deeply livable. Hosting dinners now feels effortless, the layout encourages conversation and the finishes add just the right amount of elegance. One thing we really appreciated was how they handled changes along the way.
