The Thanksgiving pie was wonderful, even though it is August and a million degrees outside. The spices were perfect and made me think of Turkey Day. No passport required to visit this Republic.

It was extremely humid outside. And it seemed no effort to counter that inside. There was no air conditioning (maybe it broke down) but then they have ceiling fans that aren't on when there is obviously electricity. It was so stuffy and uncomfortable. I even asked a worker if there was the possibility to turn them on and she said she didn't know and then walked away There was also really nowhere to sit... except 1 table that said for groups of 3 or more. In the entire place there was only one group of 3 anywhere. We asked and they initially told us no we couldn't sit there. The ice cream also had a buttery taste to it. It might have been from the toast, but I'm not too sure. The bread itself wasn't oily, which was nice, but it was kind of dry. The pandan sauce definitely helped make it easier to eat. I probably wouldn't eat the bread by itself though because it was super hard and didn't really have much flavor.
