They said I would be able to come back and return the dress if needed as long as I had a receipt, however they did not put a receipt in my bag. Then when I came back to return the dress I was blamed for their mistakes and told I could only return the item for a gift card. Additionally the worker was extremely hostile and did not know how to work her own cash register and had to call for help multiple times. After issuing the gift card they told me that I would not be able to use the gift card because "their machine was down," essentially stealing $65 from me. Despite saying that they would reach out to me about the issue they never did and I had to call multiple times to resolve this issue. On the phone the worker called me rude (I don't know how trying to get a refund is considered "rude") and was extremely unhelpful. Finally they agreed to exchange the gift card for a different item (after 2 phone calls and 4 in store visits, I don't know why they couldn't have done this in the first place) This fiasco wasted me hours of time. Do yourself a favor and order a dress from somewhere else or head to a mall or basically anything but go to this store. If you must purchase something avoid interaction with Mary. She is completely clueless and obviously was not trained properly. Edit: The store owner called me a day after to guilt trip me, offer various excuses, and when that didn't work blatantly told me to the take review down and tried to bribe me. Was browsing the earring section with a few friends. Decided to go look at something else, so I put the earrings back. When I returned to the earring section, where my friends were still standing, I was approached by an employee. She asked me if I had left the earrings over on the other side, where I had just returned from. Confused, I said I hadn't. She continued prodding me about the earrings (are you sure you didn't put them down, where are they, etc...) I then realized she was accusing me of stealing them. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, she asked me to show her the exact place that I had set down the earrings (wtf) which I was able to do. She then walked away without even an apology. It goes without saying that accusing customers of stealing when you obviously have no idea what you are talking about is not only disrespectful, embarrassing (given that the store was incredibly crowded at the time), but extremely unprofessional. Sad to say I will not be returning to Verbena....clothes are cute...and employees usually professional and respectful.

I'm curvier on the bottom so typically jeans either fit me in the waist or thighs but rarely both. Or something seems to fit in store only to stretch out too much after a few wears and washes. Madewell jeans are perfect for me though! I buy their Curvy line, which fits me in the thigh AND waist without gapping, and now I just don't even bother trying to figure out my sizes/fit for other brands. They have some good sales and programs. End of season sales can find jeans like half off. There are student and healthcare worker discounts. If you bring in an old pair of jeans to recycle (and they don't even have to be Madewell), you get $20 off a new pair. But I've also purchased full price because they're just that good! The fit in both full length jeans and shorts work well for me. They also have a tailoring service if something doesn't fit perfectly, which I think is free for most pant purchases? So if you are curvier on the bottom and struggle with finding jeans that fit, I definitely recommend trying out Madewell! Aside from jeans... Nice, higher quality clothing, leaning more on the basic/classic end in style, cuts, and color. Also love Madewell shirts and dresses. Accessories (scarves, jewelry etc) are cute too. The only thing I don't like about this location is the parking lot. Though I can usually find a spot even when it's busy, I'm always nervous about getting into an accident because of how tight the parking is. They mostly have suits, pants, and blazers for men, but they do have a small selection of businessy clothes for women. They also have a sale section where items are marked down as far as 60%, which is where David found his white pinstriped suit. Our salesperson was very helpful. He told us that suit rules are made to be broken. If David wanted no cuffs with a pleated pant, that was absolutely fine. He also pinned David's jacket saying men usually wore their sleeves too long and made the suit look a lot better. They also have a comfy couch and fashion magazines in case you are waiting on someone.
