Walk in customers are given no priority, while online orders are completed letting everyone wait. People are leaving the line do to lack of movement. They need a more just system. read more

This place is kind of reminding me of a chipotle. It has a fresh piece of pizza it's not even cooked. And you choose what you want on it kind of building your own pizza. You can choose as many topics as you want and it's gonna be the same price. Isn't that amazing. We went there with coworkers for a lunch. I had an amazing experience in this place due to nice costumer service and unbelievably delicious pizza. Dining area is huge and has about 50 seats inside. It also has all kinds of beer there like bud light and blue moon. If you can't finish your pizza they have boxes to go. They will pack it for you as well. It's located across the pint berry yogurt. The staff was great. This three star review stems from my own origin.. the salad was very mediocre and largely so because the ingredients are like ice cold so it's a cold salad, really cold. Pair that with a scant amount of chicken and not much else in the salad, and you leave hungry. Lesson learned. I really love this place. The business model is similar to others but the customer service, cheeriness of the staff, and general vibe of the place is what keeps me coming back. We swung in here for a bite before hitting up Punchline Comedy show. The line was a lil daunting with about 9 people in front of me but moved very quickly so I was at the front in less than 10 minutes. The staff was just as happy to help me as they were to each of the other customers so it was obvious they weren't feeling the pressure of dinner time. We had two make your own pizzas, standard size (11in maybe? I think there is an 8in option too). With tax, they're just under $10 but are so full of all the toppings you want so they're a meal and a half and completely get your money's worth. It's tough to review the food because make your own pizza is just that, make it your own. What I will say is they have lots of dietary options, lots of sauces (which is hard to offer, think BBQ, alfredos, balsamics, AND marinaras) lots of veggies (some pre cooked, some fresh, some both), AND their oven has got it down pat. Each pizza comes out crusty on the bottom, soft on the rim. I think the range of people at the venue enjoying their offerings is an excellent reflection of their work as well. Decided to order pizza to go for dinner. I placed my order on the app and it was expected to be ready at 6:15. I got to the restaurant at about 6:15 and was told they were running behind on online orders. The staff was friendly and offered my drink while I waited. It was an additional 15 to 20 minutes before the pizza was ready. The drink station was a bit messy with soda all over the counter. The pizza was burnt on the edges of over half the pizza slices. I really enjoyed the pizza here! Very similar to Pieology and Blast 825, you build your own pizza by adding different kinds of sauces, meats and veggies. It's a bit pricey but it's worth trying out. I got the mega pizza, which is a double layered pizza. It was quite filling. Watch out for their jalapeños! I asked for a lot of jalapeños and my mouth was feeling it; but it was delicious! If you don't want pizza, they also have salad bowls as well. They come in three different sizes and you can add whatever you like in your salad. The service was good. The workers making the pizzas were quick and very helpful and it didn't take long for my pizza to bake. Definitely worth trying out! read more

The allure of this chain, which I figured it was (a chain) after going back to my native Bay Area haunt, was that they offer you the power to select exactly what YOU want on your pie. They make it for YOU. YOU are the focus of inspiration for whatever lands on your pizza, right before your very eyes. Popular hook these days. Nice, but the flavors and taste better measure up too. The crust is crispy, but not with a lot of personality. The sauce was ditto. Their beer selection game is strong, however. Kudos to Mod for that, at least. A quality brew to go along with your meal goes along way in improving the overall dining experience. The entire dinner was very reasonably priced. A consideration for budget-conscious hungry (youthful?) diners. I think I spent less than $20 for my personalized pizza, nice tasting salad, and beer. Not bad. Out of the plethora of make your own pizza places popping up these days, Mod is one of my favorites. The line moves fast, the customer service is always upbeat, and I like the selection of toppings. Thank goodness for gluten free crust! They have a good amount of green herbs and I usually get them all (spinach, basil, arugula, etc.). I recommend the pesto as well as the fig balsamic glaze. So I went back into mod and they had a couple people I never seen before and yet again waited 26 minutes in a line with 2 people in the front of me. The crew moves like sloths. When it got to my order the young lady was happy to take my order and so I order two mods (one for me and my girlfriend) when she handed off to the next guy he said "what do you want" he WIPES HID NOSE AND TRIES TK CONTINUE. I stopped by MOD Pizza today for lunch with both of my daughters. Outside of the pizza being great, the service was that much better. My oldest daughter is deaf and usually needs a translator when ordering or communicating with most people. Today we were please to find out one of the staff is fluent in sign and my daughter was able to order on her own. This is a great pizza place when you compare it to other similar concept pizza places like blaze and Pieology. They give you a great amount of toppings for a thin crust, much more than I usually get at the other two places. The service is great and realistically fast. I love this place. I first came here for a Yelp elite event last year and have been meaning to go back since. Affordable personal pizzas with unlimited toppings. There's even an option to have your salad placed on top of pizza crust if that's what you're craving. Gluten free pizza for an additional $2. My gluten free pizza with a bunch of toppings ended up only being $11! And it was slightly bigger than the regular personal pizza. Very unique soft beverage options such as the caramelized pear iced tea. That is definitely not something you see every day! Welcome to the Subway of Pizza land!!! Ah I love this place!!! MOD Pizza is relatively new to the Arden area off of Howe and Arden. If you see Nordstrom rack, Jamba Juice, or Chili's Restaurant signs, turn into that parking lot. Parking is a tad crappy, therefore just park a few rows away so you aren't blessed with door dings or scratches. Upon walking in, the decor is neat to look at, staff is friendly, and the bar of pizza items are hard to decide from. They are all personal pizzas, just depends how hungry you are. I always order the regular one, pretty sure the small is for kids, or people who actually watch their portions. ;-) MOD has in-house made dough, and gluten free options. They also have pastas and flatbreads as well. All of the ingredients are fresh, and nicely separated. You can chose a pizza such as the Mad Dog that has specified ingredients, or you pick your crust, sauce, toppings and then they place it in the brick oven, and you await your Willy Wonka of a lucky number to get called. The pizza is always delicious, and not full of cornmeal on the bottom like Pieology's. After your cheat meal, you can head over next door to Cupcake Craving and really top it off ;-) read more

I'm so glad I finally got to try this place. But If you read my posts, then you know I'm always excited to try new places. MOD pizza, in the same plaza as Nordstrom rack, right next to chiles. The inside was really spacious. They have booths, tables, and stools. To the right you'll see a maze towards the "order here" sign. Just kidding. You just walk to the front and order. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and helpful in telling us how it works. Well before that I picked up a menu and it looks the same everywhere else. If you've tried Pieology or Blast. They have signature pizzas to choose from. Salads. Or you can create your own. You can choose from a small pizza. A mod size or. Large size which is two mod pizza dough together and the crust would be a little thicker. The guy said we don't charge by the toppings just by the size of the pizza you choose. Which was super cool and it's usually how it goes. I created the same pizza I make everywhere else: mod size, white sauce, red sauce, pesto sauce, chicken, spicy Italian, pepperoni, mushroom, jalapeños, and ricotta cheese. You tell them your name, and they'll call you up when your pizza is ready. I enjoyed my pizza, not too oily, a lot topping selections. This is third time that I ordered online and they were NOT on time as promised on their online app! When I inquired about my order, the staff worker said "we had a lot of online orders and we are just really busy right now." I had to ask, "so when do you think my order will come up?" He said "it will come up when it comes up." He was not rude but definitely did not apologize or go out of his way to make any amends. I've been in the customer service business for 20 years and I understand that they were busy but at the same time, I would have apologized to the customer since "customers are always right", and say something like "I will be sure to let management know of this issue" so it would show that the staff at least acknowledged there is a problem with THEIR website and make appropriate changes to accommodate their customers! But nope, no response in that shape or form. I'm happy that this location is busy during this Covid lockdown season, but I guess they do not need my financial business as well.
