Dylan in the drive-through was so nice and patient my daughter has autism and she was craving fries and he took our order early before they even opened. It was the sweetest gesture ever thank you so much Dylan

Stopped in for a quick bite. Service was fast and for the most part the place looked clean. The bathroom could use some attention though. Food was hot and fresh and the right amount of spice for the order. If you're craving some fried hot chicken in the Arden area this is a decent option. No surprises and the order was what to be expected.

If you want spicy you can get it here ! Not a bad place to go for some spicy chicken sliders

Not Chicken Bites

I saw a commercial today that said Dave's brought back the Not Chicken (cauliflower) bites. So, decided to try Dave's for the first time. I got a chicken slider, which I devoured. Chicken was juicy and the slider was a good size for a not so big appetite. I ordered medium heat. As someone who can handle spicy, I can definitely try hot next time. Sooo good. The Not Chicken (cauliflower) bites were really good. I ordered to go so when I got home they were slightly steamed and not as crispy, but still good. Dave's was definitely busy this Friday night. I highly recommend!

My son and I finally tried Dave's and I must say we absolutely loved it. It's now our favorite spot for fried chicken. The seasonings on each piece of chicken is so flavorful. The fries were great as well and seasoned perfectly too. Huge pieces of chicken with juicy white meat. Pricing was fair. $31 for two 2 piece combos and one soda. My son even had some leftover. Restaurant was clean. The cashier was very friendly and helpful about their menu. Crowd was full of kids my son's age. I can see why. The hype on fried chicken is only growing. This spot is a must try!

The restaurant was clean, service was fast, and the food was delicious! Tables emptied quick.. I'd say people spend about 20 minutes sitting and eating here. All meals come in a to go box, whether you're eating there or not.

This was sooooo good. I'm still thinking about it

I finally made it to Dave's Hot chicken after months of my son asking me if he could try it. Let me just say the staff was kind and the food was delicious. I was shocked on how great the customer service was. It was a little pricey lol but still good food and the slushy with Icecream. Oh my my, it was sooooooo good!!!!!

If you're craving some.chicken this spot is a must! You can choose your heat level, and the chicken is always fresh, hot and tender. Don't forget to add some of Dave's special sauce, honey and hot sauce to your chicken sandwich. Yum!

First timer here. Went through drive thru. It took roughly 30 minutes. There were lots of people since Dave's were giving free slider on the app. Ordered two number 2 in medium, one hot, and one reaper (you have to sign a consent). Redeemed the free slider for a non spice. The kiddos used their own app coupon and redeemed mild level (not in photo). If you're someone who eat spicy and has a high spice tolerance medium and mild is nothing. They could barely taste the spice and regretted not ordering hot. Hot was not spicy but it will give a taste of the spice. Reaper should really be a creeper . The spice has a delay kick. Kiddos needed lots of milk. My spice tolerance is not crazy high but I was fine afterwards. Chicken overall was not bad. Sandwiches were okay size. French fries were okay. Thankfully not soggy by the time we got home. Sauce with the meal was okay. Didn't get any ketchup. I did ask for them. Drinks were not included in the meals. Overall, sandwiches were not bad.

Uncooked chicken

I had high expectations, but this was one of the worst experiences I've had. The chicken seemed undercooked and had a weird, soft texture that didn't feel right. Within a short time of eating it, I started having really bad stomach pain. I couldn't even finish the meal because I was worried about getting sicker. Food safety should be the number one priority, and this experience left me feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. I won't be returning unless they improve their quality control

Where they really shine (and honestly they shine in many areas) is with their deli and meat counters. Do yourself a favor and try a sandwich- they are so good. I recommend the Corti Special, but they have something for every taste. The deli area typically has a wait, but it's worth it for the selection of cheeses, meats, prepared items, sausages and olives available. We love trying new items and this is our regular spot to pick up deli meats and cheeses. We also like their polish sausages and I love their olive selection. They do have their specials clipping posted and we also like to try new things that are on special. The staff here is friendly and efficient and they'll ask you if the slice sizing is correct and even let you have a taste. The meat counter has a separate area/number to take but they have a variety of cuts and marinated options along with seafood options. The butchers are always so friendly and are happy to answer any questions you have. We recently learned they make some interesting sausages and fell in love with their corned beef sausage that is like corned beef hash in a sausage form. They bring in a lot of seasonal and local produce and the produce section is always impressive. They also have a great beer selection with some options that are hard to find in the area as well as local highlights. Honestly this store is just fun to explore and it's such a great asset to our community.

I ordered online with a few modifications I added in the special instructions box on the order page. I asked for extra lettuce, lettuce amount was meager. Asked for double pepper and light salt, neither were added. Asked for pepperchinis and jalepenos, extra mayo, sprouts and none of that was added. In addition the turkey was a bit light at 3 slices. I would tey them again but it would need to be in person so I can actually watch the sandwich being made to assure it is correct. However, the staff was super nice and store was bright and clean. Really wanted to go 5 stars...maybe next time.

The place was very clean, and everybody I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. You can order at the counter, but I went ahead and just use the self order screen. , I ordered the Italian, with Aioli, Pepperoni, Salami, Ham, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Oregano, and their Vinaigrette. When you pay, you also enter your phone number so they will let you know when the sandwich is ready. They were busy, as it was lunchtime. Still the sandwich came quickly. I got the text that my sandwich was ready at the same time that they called my name. The sandwich was very good. I liked their aïoli and the vinaigrette, you could tell that they were good quality, meats, and the veggies were very fresh. They were very generous with the fillings. I had it on sourdough, and it was a very good quality sourdough as well. I ordered a small sandwich, and it was enough to fill me up. For what I got, the price was extremely reasonable. I would definitely come back. Thanks for the suggestion, yelp!

A 10/10 Birthday Lunch Experience!…read more Today was my birthday, and my coworkers wanted to treat me to lunch. I was craving a GOOD sandwich, and I had heard so many great things about Roxie Deli & BBQ that I finally decided to give it a try. It was only 7-8 minutes from our job site, so we made our way over! First of all, the moment you step out of your car, you can smell the smoker. The tri-tip, the brisket, EVERYTHING! The smell instantly reminded me of Mexico, especially that wood-burning smell. If you know, you KNOW! When we walked in, it was pretty slow, but the employees were so welcoming. We asked about the specials, and I ordered the brisket sandwich, one coworker got the tri-tip, and the other ordered a Roxie special. The owner was incredibly sweet and welcoming, too! He accidentally gave me a tri-tip sandwich instead of the brisket, but it was an honest mistake, and he corrected it right away. We're all human, and mistakes happen! I appreciated how quickly he fixed it. We took our food outside, sat down, and took our first bites. OMG. WHEN I TELL YOU THAT SANDWICH HIT THE SPOT!!! The flavor, the cheese, the grease, the fat... EVERYTHING was just perfect. It was exactly what I was craving, and I enjoyed every single bite! Another sweet surprise was running into my husband's cousin, Alex, who I had no idea worked there! It was so nice seeing him. He was super friendly, social, and sweet to all the customers. You can really appreciate when people make you feel welcome, whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time. Overall, this experience was a 10/10! Roxie Deli & BBQ made my birthday lunch extra special, and I couldn't have asked for a better sandwich or a better experience. My coworkers and I will DEFINITELY be back, and we'll absolutely be recommending this place to others. Great food, welcoming people, and that smoky BBQ smell? Such a joy! So a local food reviewer on IG recently did this thing online where he visited many local Banh Mi…read moreshops in Sacramento and of course he ranked them. Well he ranked this one very high, in fact it was his number one-so I had to check it out. The shop is located on Arden Way at a small little nondescript strip mall but they do have plenty of parking,so no issue there. Walking up to the shop they do have a few tables on an outside patio for customers to enjoy. Inside the shop it's very clean with a familiar color scheme-thinking In-N-Out/Five Guys. It's very nice in there. The two workers inside were very efficient, the cashier was overly friendly and welcoming and the other, the sandwich maker, was just quietly grinding out sandwiches the entire time-I appreciated that. They have pretty good menu options but I kind of just went traditional with my lunch order. I ordered a crispy pork banh mi.(10.95) I also ordered both the pork and shrimp spring rolls($4.00 x 2 )to try. It wasn't super busy during this lunchtime so I got my order pretty fast, probably under 12 minutes I would say. Let's talk about the food. I always tell people if I had a personal chef,I would have them make me spring rolls every day for my afternoon snack-I love them so much,so I had high hopes for these. The meat on the pork spring rolls was pretty hearty and kind of took over the spring roll but it was still pretty tasty. The shrimp spring rolls though were a standout, the natural taste of the shrimp along with the other fresh ingredients made the shrimp version stand out. I'm relatively new to the world of Banh Mi but in a very short time I feel like I'm all in and have tried more than a few places and definitely have my favorites, when it comes to bread selections and fillings, but I'm still figuring out my palate in the vast banh mi world. That being said-I really loved this banh mi. It was put together so well, pork was well seasoned and crispy,a nice amount of fresh, snappy, yummy veggies and the bread tasted very fresh. I won't say it's my favorite banh mi, because my number #1 spot is pretty locked up but I really enjoyed the sandwich here. This place is so close to my work,I can easily see it becoming my "Go-To" spot for banh mi. I 100% recommend this shop.

It was packed with flavor, and I would definitely come back again! But the price of the sandwich? Absolutely ridiculous. Hey, by all means, as a business owner, you have every right to set your own prices. You know your worth, and I respect that! But if I had to choose between eating here or going to my regular spots, Đức Hương or Hương Lan, I'd choose them over this place simply because of the pricing. So why 4 out of 5 stars? 1. Pricing: The bánh mì is way more expensive than what I'm used to paying, especially when there are other great Vietnamese sandwich shops offering delicious food at a more reasonable price. 2. Food quality and flavor: I have to give credit where it's due! The food was genuinely delicious, and I can see what sets this place apart from other bánh mì shops. The flavor profile was unique, well-balanced, and definitely memorable. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and wouldn't mind coming back! I just wish the pricing was a little more reasonable. It's hard to justify paying that much for a bánh mì when I know I can get something just as satisfying elsewhere for less.

My to-go order is the Hornet on a Dutch crunch roll with everything on it except mustard. Make it a combo with chips and a drink, and you'll have an incredible lunch. The ambiance is different from other sandwich spots in midtown. The chairs and tables are older and worn, and it's small inside, but it's also inside an old house that was converted into a restaurant. That alone makes this place unique. People hang out inside or outside with friends and enjoy the vibes. There's a real sense of community that the Sandwich Spot brings along with uniquely crafted sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are named after people or landmarks in Sacramento. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and will help you with recommendations if you're not sure which sandwich to get. It honestly feels like you're in the company of good friends. The staff joke around and seem to enjoy their job and working together. You won't be disappointed by trying the Sandwich Spot during your next lunch break or on the weekend, hanging out with a friend.

The restaurant is in a really cool old Victorian house, and the staff were super friendly. The interior was clean and looked like a nice place to dine in, but I ended up taking my order to go. I ordered the #19 with turkey, prosciutto, avocado, and swiss on a dutch crunch roll. The bread had just gone into the oven, so we had to wait about 10 minutes, but I can't complain because it was baked fresh to order. Overall, I thought the sandwich was very good, but honestly not quite as amazing as people online had made it out to be. It was definitely good, but I don't know if I'd be dying to go back when I think Ike's, Mr. Pickle's, Corti Bros, and maybe even Nugget or Sprouts make more interesting sandwiches. To me, those places use slightly higher quality ingredients as well, though maybe I just didn't order the best sandwich here. Overall, it was a good sandwich and a good experience. My expectations were probably just a little too high. I wouldn't be dying to come back but also wouldn't say no if someone wanted to go there for lunch.
