The Tristan maybe is because I love pesto and red peppers so much that I am biased. Would love to see some sun dried tomatoes which was the flavor that was missing in this pizza. Overall did the job of feeding me just right. The staff automatically assumes you are ordering the mid-size option instead of the micro. Make sure you are clear that you want the small size if that is your intent. Why? I am surprised they did not ask about it. Also, when paying they were not clear about it. I literally was standing in front of the cashier waiting to pay and when the guy came in to start the payment process had a large family who came after me skip me over. When I noticed that in the middle of the transaction, the guy asked me to step aside to wait for the order. I jokingly told him thank you for the free meal. I stopped on the way home for a pizza, ordered online but failed to click curbside. I was feeling lazy and antisocial so a very nice gentleman brought the pizza out to my car. It was really delicious, I went overboard on things I don't normally get like pesto and roasted garlic. I know it's a chain but this was a cheap lunch that was high quality. The employees nice. This review is not regarding the pizza which is always consistent and good but rather the employees and complete lack of cleanliness or even an attempt to clean. While there were only two tables including ours being used, ever table was covered with crumbs and sticky. The 4 workers stood around looking at their phones while one team members (who appeared to be a team lead) spoke loudly about how "East coast people suck." After visiting the MOD in Gainesville, I decided I needed to take my parents for lunch! Purcellville is closer to their house, so away we went. The entire experience was great - the restaurant is nicely laid out and the food is fresh and delicious. Our pizzas were perfectly crispy and each topping was amazing. The employees were on top of their game and the manager was wonderful - he let us know the next day was a BOGO special for fathers (Father's Day) so of course we came back the next day for more pizza. We will definitely be stopping here again, and I will be going to the Gainesville one too! An added plus is that vegans, vegetarians, and those who are gluten free can eat here with ease as you get to decide which toppings are on your pizza and they have gluten free dough and dairy free cheese. I would also like to say that the obvious bot who rated this establishment with 1 star because the women's bathroom wouldn't lock has clearly not been in the restroom here because it is not a single room. She looks and sighs at the assortment of veggies and clean counter. I said, we are so glad you are open, we came up a different route to get to Chick fil a and then noticed you were still open. She says nothing but her body language as she turned to wash her hands said everything I needed to know. I asked if it was ok, she said, we close in 10 min. I said, would you rather us go to Chick fil a, and...wait for it...she said, "yes, we just cleaned the counter". I said, ok that means we probably won't come back. She said, ok, have a good night. I said, have a nice life and we left. Wish we could have tried the food and had a better customer service experience, but at least the chick fil a served us. read more

Luckily this place isn't competing against pizza places in Purcellville because all the "pizza" places in Purcellville are bad. So with that in mind, this is a good place with a good product. Price:portion is worthy of your money. Anything that lets you pick "unlimited" toppings for the same price is a winner in my book. We recently moved nearby, after 20 years in Winchester. Our daughter showed us this new place that opened here locally. And I wish they had MODs in Europe...! Things I like about this place - well I can fill a book, but what the real attraction is that customers are set up in a cafeteria line setting, and in each section the customer decides what you really want on your pizza. They even have a Vegi Pizza. Not my choice but what the heck? I love the thin crust; cooked to perfection because is thin, its very tasty. Both my wife and I love as its very much like a European or German Pizza, but you would never get to choose the ingredients like here. So after customers add the toppings or condiments, (from extra or different cheese such as feta or what ever you decide on and over a hundred different kinds of additions its cooked in an open fire baked oven. The personnel are young, but courteous and dedicated to making each customer enjoy a great meal and the Pizza's are big enough everyone, yet not too big to waste. There is also a bonus club if you join and earn 150 points (about 8 pizza's) then a customer earns a free pizza. {Military also receive military discount}. I usually tip between 8%-12% (not 20%) as I know the start earns very little but are not delivering service as a waitress does (I also feel personally that 15%-20% is out of line with this type of service). The only thing I wish was that they had a noodle menu, something simple like Spagetti and meat balls or just the noodles so we could change it up...but I can live with that. read more

Any time I can take my kids out to eat, and they actually eat, is a miracle. My kids loved making their own (which is one case was just every cheese they had, but still). I went a little artistic and added lots of veggies and light cheese including roasted asparagus and roasted garlic and it was amazing. Definitely try the balsamic fig sauce. I am overjoyed that we now have MOD Pizza in Purcellville after having to drive to the Belmont location in the past. They've taken over a portion of the old IJ Canns space. It's a great layout like other MOD locations and there is patio seating as well! Pizza is always great and you get all the toppings you like for one reasonable price. I love the roasted garlic! I returned home from the hospital with family after a long experiencping the passing of a family member. We were all tired and hungry, so decided to have pizzas delivered. Placed order on the phone at 734, with an ETA of 820, which seemed pretty long for a Monday evening, but we could tolerate that. Called MOD at 834 and was given a new ETA of 840. Called again at 900 and was told pizzas were still waiting for pick up by the driver. After some discussions with family, we agreed to have order placed again for delivery . I called them back at 906 to confirm it would be expedited and asked for driver to call me when on route. received call from driver shortly before 1000 saying that he was picking up pizzas in the next couple of minutes. He said he just got the ticket 5 minutes ago. Called Mod back at 1002, no answer. tried calling again at 1006 hoping someone would pick up the phone. No answer. 1025, received text from door dash stating the my order would be delivered at 945. It was already 1025. Got call from driver shortly after. Driver said they had thrown away my order. asked me to call door dash to cancel the order so I could get a refund. I refused, saying that I have no order to cancel if they threw it in the trash. 1030, door dash customer service called to ask if I wanted to cancel. my reply was "what is their to cancel if they threw my order in the trash? " Customer service hung up on me. 1151, received text from door dash saying delivery was cancelled and that they will create a new tracking link to reattempt the delivery. I ignored it. We had little to eat during the day, and no energy to make dinner at this point so we all had some toasted wheat bread for a bedtime snack. I have ordered from MOD several times, with only one time before that there was a problem. It was minor and of little consequence. BTW, I always provide a good tip when paying, and then give an additional cash tip when the driver delivers. I am a good customer. The pizza is really good, but not good enough to ever give them my business again. There are other pretty good pizza places in Purcellville that I used to use before I started using MOD, I will go back to them from now on. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

The menu was difficult enough to read but when the pizzas arrived they were all small and dry. I honestly thought I was eating a dry tomato based cracker. NASTY!
