Bunch of kids working and showed up to place a late order, 2 kids peeked their head out the back then proceeded to stay back there for 5-10 minutes so they wouldn't have to take my order because they were closing soon. I need management to do a clean sweep. I went there last night. It was the longest line but not because they was busy. It was because the employees was slow, unorganized and didn't care. They was just walking around talking and the one person that was making pizzas was acting like her life was ending. She was in the slowest motion ever and kept scratching (gross) Then she finally got help but he was not only slow but very chatty. No sense of urgency from anyone. If you're on your lunch break and need a quick pizza this is not the place. I live down the street and would come to this MOD pizza location more often if they were more efficient and organized. On every visit, I've experienced longer than average wait times just to order my pizza. Then you wait awhile longer for them to put your pizza in the oven and call you up to get it. The service is not efficient . Simply put the owner of this location needs to hire more staff and or train current staff to move the line faster. Today, in addition to the long wait times, they had no spicy red sauce on deck when it ran out. We had to settle for the regular sauce. We sat down and all the tables were dirty. Lately this place is just bot what it use to be, employees refuse to wear gloves when they are grabbing food and they have such a bad attitude. They are also very slow I'm not sure if they do that on purpose so customers will leave or what's going on but they need new employees, manager or someone who actually knows about the business. Where do I start? The staff was in complete distress. Orders kept stacking up and it felt like they would just put one or two pizzas in the oven at a time which would obviously cause a back up with the orders. I sat down and turned on my stop watch and when my name was called it was 30 minutes later. Someone next to me was waiting for like an hour already and still had not gotten their pizza, so an indication that the basic principal of FIFO (first in first out) was not being followed. It got so extreme that even one of the staff member was asked to guard the front door to make sure no other customer would come in...so, now i felt like a hostage inside waiting to see when my pizza would be ready. I don't know if it was the manager, but no one could understand the names she was calling out and was aggressive with customers on site about their queries on their orders and with customers over the phone. I waited so long that at one point i ear dropped on a phone call and this staff member was trying to give a time frame on when an order would be ready if they placed the order but then quickly told the customer to give up on the order since they wouldn't make it since they are backed up! As I sit in the courtyard finishing up this pizza and this review ...i don't even care that my pizza is a little undercooked....just glad I'm one of the lucky ones to be eating at this point. What a great find this place was. No one was that hungry so we were yelping through the choices and we found Mod Pizza that actually had a choice of non dairy cheese! We order 3 pies. The first one was loaded with veggies and topped with non dairy cheese. The cheese was melty and tasty. You vegans know how important that is. The second pie was different meats and we added veggies. The third pie was the bbq chicken which had a sprinkling of Gorgonzola cheese. I guess I didn't really read that in the description but it was well received. So the max size of the pies they offer is 11 inches so if your feeding a big appetite you may consider it a single serve. The price was under $9 per pie even with the extra toppings! The crust was very tasty. We got the regular crust which was thin but they did offer a thick crust. If they had a Mod pizza closer to where we lived, we would definitely order from there again. We'll just keep this place in mid when we visit our family in Houston. If you're reading this Mod, come to Euless. read more

Not the best experience I had when I came to this MOD pizza. To make sure I'm not the only one with this bad experience, I looked to see if other reviewers also had bad time. Surely enough, they did and some where similar to my visit. At the start, one lady looked at me and then continued pouring the "Red Sauce" to restock it. I patiently wait because I don't like to rush people. After a good 30 seconds she then says "what can I get you" with a very monotoned voice (as if she was miserable with everything, or the fact that she is working there). I told her that I would like a regular 11" pizza. Then a guy comes out and continues taking my order. I proceed to tell him I'd like the "Red sauce" however, before he adds the Red Sauce, he stretches the pizza dough so uneven, that it's an oval now. Then he adds the red sauce but because the dough is not circular, the red sauce is spread uneven. I find this odd but I move on to the cheese and toppings. He then proceeds to apply the cheese so uneven, that 25% of the pizza is not even covered and another 25% is just all dough. I was going to say something but instead I was more curious into how this will turn out (plus with all the toppings I had, gravity would push down on the cheese so I thought that it would spread just a little more to the sides). I then go to pay and I have cash out in my hand. The same lady at the beginning was looking down at the counter and then looked at me, asking me "cash or card?". I then look at her dead in the eyes as I have my hand out with cash and say ".... Cash". She takes it but never announces what my change was. So I'm not even sure if I revived the correct change at that moment (I looked at my receipt later, it was correct.... Thankfully). About 5 min passes and my pizza comes out. Unfortunately, because it was not a circle, but an Oval, the pizza was not cooked properly. The stretched out part of the oval was over cooked/ burnt/ crispy, while the edges of the oval where undercooked, especially the middle part (understandably, I had a lot of toppings, so that was not surprise the middle of the dough wasn't cooked thoroughly). The pizza wasn't good. A 6/10 for me. especially for the price. $10+ for a pizza that's not cooked even or prepared evenly? I'll stick to Domino's, thank you (I'm sorry I cheated on you Domino's ). Lastly, as I go to put my plate back with the others, I can clearly see a stack of dirty plates. It was not busy and other then myself, 4 families where their as well. Maybe someone forgot to tell them that the plates are something they are responsible for too during training? because that could be dangerous, especially for kids and people who aren't as tall as I am. Really wish I could have taken pictures, but it's best you read the other reviews and let your imagination picture it all. If you see anything like what I experienced, speak up. I always like a fresh piping hot pizza with fresh ingredients. Who wouldn't! But mind you the wait to order, the price, and the easily mistaken identity of the ordrer just makes MOD receive modest stars. When I arrived, I saw that the kitchen looked pretty busy. As I walked in, I noticed that the line was pretty long. so I went to the restroom. Less than 5 minutes later, the line was to the door! I wasnt in a hurry and wanted to try this made to order pizza joint, so I stayed in line. As I waited, I debated on the size og my pizza. Compared to Top it and Blaze pizza, MOD offers three pizza sizes. I actually thought about getting the smallest artisan pizza since this was my first time at MOD and it was late in the evening, but decided to splurge on the typical mid size 11 incher which runs you $8.50 with tax. Despite the line, the crew members were busting out pizza pies as fast as they could. Only they were quite stingy with the sauce. Me and the other young lady in front of me had to ask for extra sauce. Toppings were pretty adequate, so I was anticipating a great pizza pie only I saw several people who ordered before and after me had their orders and I was still waiting! I remembered them screaming out a T name, but it was nothing like T-A-M and I actually spelled out my name when I ordered so it could be written on the paper under the pizza, so I just figured something happenned...decided to check the counter when more orders were screamed out. I heard TAL again. My receipt was no help since it only featured order number. In any case, I remembered what my pizza looked like before it went into the oven, but the crew member shook his head when I told him I spelled my three letter name to the other crew member. Must happen often. Maybe they should allow the customer to write their name on the liner to solve that problem or coordinate the order number as the identifier. At least the guy gave me a container of olive oil per request, but the taste...meh. The artisan crust was a little mushy for my taste. Could have been cooked longer, so didn't use the olive oil as much as I normally do for my pizza. In any case, I can say I came, I saw, I ate, but probably not for a second time mate. read more

First time eating at MOD ever. I've been missing out!!! Pizza is life! I love their concept and all of the variety they offer. My pizza was pretty good, not the best I've ever had but next time I'll tweak my selection. They also offer a variety of tea and lemonade and they have the small crunchy ice!
