We haven't been to this location in a while. And we won't be back for quite a while if ever. Now, granted, there wasn't anyone eating inside and it was about 5:30 PM. We came in at the same time three other parties came in all of which were two to 3 people. I swear, we waited in line at least 20 minutes to even get to where they took our order. Then we got the slowest staff member on the planet. And they were clearly not new because they knew where stuff was. The staff in general had no energy and they weren't concerned at all with taking care of customers in a timely manner. Our pizzas had very little toppings and we had to ask for extra on most of them even to get fairly decent coverage. I mean like a handful of cheese. I asked for a second kind of cheese and received about a teaspoon worth. And this was a grated hard cheese so I don't even know how they did that. I'm surely hoping this is not a typical mod experience now, because if so, I'm finding another place. I called the store and spoke with an employee Alyea. I explained the issue and she told me that "she made the order and was too busy" to put the seal on. The fact that an employee casually admitted she didn't seal a box because she was busy is absolutely unacceptable. I was then asked if the toppings were messed up. this restaurant used to be really awesome and the staff all super friendly, however, tonight when we went in besides the one tall kid working, everyone else was just kind of meh and didn't seem to care very much about anything going on. There were no lids for drink cups no napkins in the dispensers and trash cans were overflowing. The food was still good overall, but the guy making the pizzas ordered grabbed a handful of ricotta cheese and mixed it in with the mozzarella cheese for my wife's pizza without asking if she wanted ricotta or not. As you walk down-the-line you tell the pizza cooks what to add to your pizza the price remains the same regardless of what are how many toppings you add to your pizza. I ordered a pie with tomato sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, roasted peppers, pepperoni and spicy sausage. My sister and nephew ordered similar but with a couple of topping changes. The line moves though very quickly and the pizza comes out in about 7 minutes. MOD offers a good selection of fresh meat, cheese, vegetables and the prices are modest. Well take it from me the days of good customer service are over! We were in tonight with a group of five. Everyone ordered their pizzas, we paid and I asked for my pizza well done. We they called our pizzas out for being done my wife and daughter went up and got our pizzas. Not only was mine not well done it was pretty much raw in the middle. We went up and asked if the could cook it some more and we were told NO. When I went up to the counter I informed the lady that not only did we ask for the pizza to be well done, but I watched and listed to her respond OK. No she say no but I can get back in line and order another pizza if I would like. I said no thank you and that I would just prefer a refund for my pizza. She again said no she could not do that either. Needless to say after about 20 minutes of this crap another girl offered to take care of it and she did. The young African American girl walked off in a huff trying to talk under her breath. Swearing all sorts of kind things about my daughter and I. This was my husband and I's favorite spot on Fridays. We have been coming for years! However recently we came in and noticed a newer face working. She was so nice, however her whole work shirt was covered in it looked like cat hair. I was watching it fly around as she was making our pizzas. It really grossed my husband and I both out. We really enjoyed MOD pizza. It's a make your own pizza with unlimited toppings for one price. What's not to love?! We got a garlic cheesy bread, Jasper pizza, Greek salad and no name cakes. The garlic cheese bread we ordered with pesto and marinara sauce. I actually thought they were served as dipping sauces but are put on the actual bread. It tasted great though. The Jasper pizza came with mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, spicy chicken sausage and we added olives. The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings were fresh and yummy! The salad was good as well, nothing stood out but was nice and fresh with heavy dough. The No Name cakes are way better than a ding dong but the same concept. Definitely tasty. My wife and I frequent Mod Pizza for the love of the food. We went to this location in the Arrowhead, and we were less than impressed. The food was good, but the place was filthy. Every table had food remnants on it. There is no excuse for the lack of cleanliness as we were 2 of only 4 patrons in the place. When they weren't serving us, they weren't doing anything. Where is the manager? The service was unlike any other Mod Pizza. We are in our mid 50's and used to very pleasant young employees. This place was not good at all... There was an older gentleman (older than us) making the pizzas, and he had no idea what he was doing. We told him the pizza we wanted and had to literally tell him every basic ingredient because he was clueless as to their own menu. In fact, he asked my wife what was on it while standing within a few feet of the menu, stating that he couldn't see it? We had told him we wanted pizza and a salad initially, and after making the pizza, he tried to check us out. We had to direct him through the salad making process as well. After checking out, he walked away and we had to call him back to give us our drink cups...and then they want a tip? Are you kidding me! Additionally, the bathroom was filthy as well. We had MOD's pizza for the first time and both my wife and I really enjoyed the pie, it tops Fired Pie big time! The amount of toppings is how it should be, plentiful and flavorful. If there was any hiccup it would be the crispness of the bottom of the crust, it was a bit weak/soft, we prefer a crispier crust. Sauces, cheeses and toppings are tgen all chosen. A wide variety of toppings are available. Meats include a plantbased option. Vegetable selections are about double the average pizza place. The neat thing about MOD is that all the toppings are included in the price. No limits are placed on the number of toppings one may order. My kids have a tendency to go a little crazy, but they always eat their concoctions. Pizzas are out of the oven in a matter of minutes. Bases have a light crispness. If a crispier crust is what you desire, inform the person building your pizza. They will leave it in a bit longer. Salads including a pizza salad are available. Don't forget to try on of the finishing sauces available where pizzas are picked up. For a fast casual restaurant, drink selection is on the large side. Along with the soda fountain, there are teas, lemonades, beer and wine. The marion blackberry lemonade is worth a try. A great balance of tart and sweet. I agree with other Yelpers. When you come to MOD the atmosphere is always positive and they have good customer service as soon as you walk through the door. The topping selection at MOD is honestly elite! First off, the pizza was good and the service was very good. My main complaint is a horrible sewer smell that was outside the restaurant and very strong in the bathroom. It was so bad, I thought I was going to pass out. I hope the management can look into it. I know it probably isn't the restaurant's fault but please work with the city. This MOD location has been mine and my wife's for years. Since Covid it's been different like all other businesses. We've been noticing that the place has been going alittle down hill. The tables never get cleaned at least when we're waiting to sit down and have diner. The last 3 times I've had to ask for a wet towel so that I can clean our table. They also never stock the Pellegrino in the upfront refrigerator case but they do have it in the back when we ask. Also today on 7/10/22 we found the workers on the line playing around and growing food on coworkers in front of customers. What the F is up with that. The person who I think is the manager was just sitting there laughing about that one worker had pepperonis on his back and on his shoulders. The managers who first started up this place were great and did an exceptional job at managing and training the workers to care.
