My Fella built his own (pineapple, ham, peppers) and I got the dillon james (garlic, fresh basil, mozzarella, asiago, tomatoes, red sauce)... They were deeleeshoos! Red sauce is more tangy than sweet, which I prefer. Not too overloaded with toppings, proportioned just right. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the pizza was indeed rendered, "superfast" Fun atmosphere/decor. The caramelized pear iced tea was not quite my jam but it wasn't bad. The "No Name Cake" was pretty tasty for dessert. I really like this place. I have been a bunch of times and it's never really too busy. I've tried almost all the different combinations and I love how you can create your own. The white sauce and the balsamic glaze are my absolute favorite to add to my pizza! The atmosphere is pretty laid back and it's a nice size pizza restaurant. The staff are always pretty friendly too! Pie5 and Blaze have this place beat by a mile. Service was poor, and quality of ingredients was poor. I ordered the Phoenix and the arugula looked wilted and slimy, it was put on before it was fired which made it worse. the white sauce is flavorless and made the crust soggy. My husband had their version of the buffalo chicken. He said it was flavorless. He also order a coke, but didn't receive a cup he had to use a small dixi cup by the fountain machine, he probably forgot to give him the cup. There were two manager, at least appeared to be managers. Sitting in the dinning room not paying any attention to what was going on. One sitting with a family and ignoring all other guests. The other with a laptop ignoring everyone. We won't be back. read more

This place is outstanding and I highly recommend. You can customize your pizza or choose from a classic, without any chance in price. They make it right in front of you and place it and wood-brick oven where it is baked to perfection. The service was wonderful as well. Let me start by saying Mod truly is the home of super fast pizza. I was in and out in 5 minutes and in that time I was treated to a lovely atmosphere and superior service by an excellent staff. Excellent pizza served fresh, hot and made to order. The one price for a 11" thin crust is quite a value when you consider all toppings are included. We had a red sauce with pepperoni, sausage and ground beef was very good. The atmosphere is casual as you order then pick up when your name is called. You watch them make your pizza and take it to the open oven and you're called as soon as it comes out. The salads are the same price and the choices of ingredients is large for either pizza or salad. read more

Usually there are errors in our order from this location. We have taken to tipping, because that seemed to improve the order accuracy. Tonite was pretty bad. bbq sauce instead of red sauce (rather than drizzle) made one pizza inedible. The mushroom pizza only had toppings on half due to large bubbles (indicative of poor cooking attention) Finally, the arugula was added prior to cooking on a third pizza. While mod is convenient, next time we'll try blaze. read more

This is my favorite make your own pizza place. So much better than pie five. The crust for the pizza is the best I've had so far. I don't know about the gluten free because I haven't had it yet. The salads are great unlike pie five you can pick any thing they have on the salads. read more

I love mod pizza. I've gone to multiple locations in NOVA and both locations in the Richmond area. Unlimited toppings for flat rate of $7-8. Dough is good and sauce is good. So many topping options too!! Atmosphere is great and it's a hidden gem in richmond so there's never any lines! read more

I used to eat at MOD Pizza all the time when I lived in Texas and was so excited when I saw that we were getting a MOD in Richmond, but I've been twice and sadly have been disappointed both times. The workers are very rude and unfriendly and even gave my daughter a dirty look when she said light sauce. They are also very stingy with their toppings on build your own pizza's, it's almost like you have to beg for more toppings. At the end of the day I think the food is good, but the service is awful. read more

I love coming to MOD. I always get the Mega crust and it has always been delicious. Get the garlic butter crust! The prices are great and I always leave with a full stomach and leftovers. I must say that I am particular with my food. I love when either Ebony or Amber are working! They are the BEST! Ask for them. New to Richmond and decided to try this place after my kiddos' soccer game at the Y. So glad we did! Inviting and laid back atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and great staff. We each chose different pizza's (including a gluten free) as well as a couple salads. Shay was super helpful and personable in explaining the menu. She even checked on us while we ate outside. Been looking forward to a MOD opening here in RVA esp. the west end. I love made to order pizza. The store is in an excellent location of the new Nuckols Place shopping center, to the left of Publix. I went to their soft opening and ordered the Jasper meets MadDog pizza, a combination of both. It was delicious just as I remembered it from Gainesville, VA. Love the picture on their walls, stickers tagged along the register and a basic set-up of drinks and condiments. The manager, Luke is super friendly and the staff remembers my name. MOD arrived just in time. It's my new goto pizza place even has online ordering. They open at 10:30am. I hope a rewards app comes behind soon. Looking forward to some spirit days with the community and hopefully the local school kids will want to hang out there especially when the weather gets warmer. The patio is spacious and parking wraps around the entire building. MOD is simple but so, so good! I hope they do well because I keep telling everyone I know. read more

Not bad. Much like Blaze Pizza but not quite as good. Better than pie 5. Crust at Blaze wins IMO. Something is off with MODs crust. All three are similar. But Blaze greater than Mod greater than our 5. That about sums it up read more
