Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a small buffalo chicken pizza and it was completely flavorless. I couldn't taste the so-called buffalo flavor at all. The chicken basically disintegrated in my mouth, and I didn't even bother to finish it. "Best pizza in Richmond" is a very, very far stretch. That's the only reason I trusted this place in the first place, because they claim to have the best pizza with a unique name. I like it! This pizza joint is nothing more than a hole in the wall, but the folks who work there are friendly and they sure know how to cook! We grabbed a couple of cheesesteaks and they were totally tasty. One of the keys to a decent cheesesteak sandwich is the bread and Zombie Pizza has a bread supplier that makes a cheesesteak dream come true. We ordered on a Friday night at 7 - pies were ready in under 20 minutes; an Hawaiian (detractors can laugh) we subbed turkey bacon for chicken - and a Supreme with pepperoni, black olives and the good stuff. Pies are available in multiple sizes - ours were 14" and filled the boxes well. Crust was firmer than the labelled NY style, but had a great chew, a firmer bake with just the tiniest bit of char and were perfect accompanied with a six of Heineken from a nearby WaWa store. On your way out dip into the giganto freezer full of Nightingale ice cream sammiches in multiple flavors for dessert. If you expect a spotless floor and no one smoking a lung dart out front, move along. This is the closest pizza place to us, so whenever we're thinking about ordering pizza, he suggests this place first. There is no indoor seating, so you have to take out. It's a great place to get pizza for a picnic in Forest Hill Park. It smells amazing inside. Their free pizza smells are incredible. I love their red sauce and the high quality of the product. Although simple, their cheese pizza is the favorite thing I've had here. Something was a little off for the Hawaiian chicken pizza for me. And the garden pizza didn't quite do it for me. Discovered this pizza place after our neighbor told us about it. Everything is made to order so I'd recommend calling your order in because it did take about 20 minutes (however, we loved walking around and looking at all the local shops/restaurants nearby) and there isn't any indoor seating at the moment. The pizza was really delicious - crispy crust and quality ingredients and the prices are very reasonable. The garlic knots weren't our favorite but there were other sides/appetizers that we are interested in trying so we will definitely be back. I had such high hopes for this place. I'm thinkin', "Ya, new home and there's an awesome pizza place that's just down the street." But alas, the awesome part of that plan did not come to fruition. Located just above the elbow where Semmes bends into Forest Hill, you'll miss it if you're not careful. Friendly folks that work here and the place looks well-used. Zombie advertises their pizza as New York style, but I think they need to visit NYC to see what that pizza is all about. I ordered a small cheese pizza and a Greek salad. I was told 10 minutes, but it took a little longer. Pizza smelled heavenly, but unfortunately, the taste does not match the smell. Yes, the pizza has a thin crust, but there is a thick bubble of crust around the edge (that's where the yummy smell came from - garlic butter brushed on the crust?). Once I got home and pulled a piece from the pie I noticed that the bottom was a little tough to cut through (they only cut it into fourths and I wanted smaller slices). When I flipped it over I saw why - the entire bottom was pretty thoroughly burned. Now I like a little browning on the edge of my pizzas, but this was too much. I got through one piece and decided that burnt pizza wasn't worth the workouts to burn it off. The bubble crust at the edge was the best part of the pizza. The store has plenty of offerings in terms of a variety of pizzas and desserts. I would definitely call ahead so that you don't have to wait around. There is plenty of parking, but no place to sit. Water and soda (Coke) are available in the cooler to the side. There are so many pizza joints in this city that I think Zombie needs to up their game a little bit. A disappointing visit, and I can't say that I won't be back, but if I do I will definitely check that pie before I leave! read more

Recommended for decent pizza and quick delivery. This restaurant is on my go-to list for Richmond. We ordered delivery Thursday, May 18, 2023. We shared two pizzas, a pepperoni and a Greek-style (feta & kalamata olives). Both pies had decent crust and were a good value for the size of pizza. The crust was yeast-raised and looked to be done in-house. The pepperoni was as good as anywhere I've ever been. The Greek was also good, but the olives were unsliced and wanted to roll away. I recommend to the restaurant that the olives be sliced and distributed around the pie. Also, a sprinkle of lemon juice and a layer of spinach would make the pizza better. read more

The vegan pizza is to die for I'd give that a 5. The seafood pasta was absolutely horrible. There's a negative 1 for it. All of the seafood was incredibly chewy and buried under the sauce was shrimp shell on.
