MOD Pizza is a great place for building your own pizza. They offer plenty of pizza crust options as well as toppings! Their location is centered in the Dawson Marketplace next to the North Georgia Premium Outlets. It is a standalone location that has a wonderful exterior and a very clean interior area for seating. I visited here on the weekend and while it was busy, the staff was great at getting all orders in and completed in a timely manner. The pizza was extremely tasty and while I added a ton of toppings to my pizza, I still felt as if I could taste each and every one individually. For the amazing price paid, I will most definitely come back when I am in the area. read more

The pizza here is build you own. We liked that so the wife and I both could get a personal pizza with our own toppings. The taste of the pizza isn't earth shattering but is good. My wife said that the beef tasted a little funny so she picked it off her pizza. The speed of the pizzas coming out was pretty fast. We loved the lemonade and no name cake! Ordered WARM garlic bread/pizza and an unlimited salad. The 'warm' garlic bread looked like someone forgot to pick up their order and so they gave me their crusty order. Box soaked with oil on bottom. Lettuce in salad was mildly brown, have no idea what the chicken actually was I think I found 4 pieces and surely didn't resemble chicken. Mushrooms slimy and still had soil on them. I mean at least wash them....soft cucumbers instead of fresh. Only thing really that was good was the dressing. Won't be back for a while. I've always been a fan of make your own pizza and stopped by here after visiting the outlets. This place is located right next to Starbucks. I went with the build your own Mod pizza with white sauce, chicken, black olives and mushrooms. Unfortunately, they were out of onions at the time but hope they got it restocked! It took about 10min to get my pizza and it was cooked to perfection. They also did not hold back on the toppings. I was able to get about two meals worth out of one of the mod pizzas. I've been a MOD pizza costumer for a while because their ingredients and portion size is good for the price, but today I've had enough so I am writing this review. It seems like when the manager was hiring for this job, the two requirements that had to be met were 1. Be a rude teenager and 2. Seem like you hate your job. Every time I walk in I am greeted by a greasy teenager who always acts like they're better than me and get annoyed when they have to do what they are getting paid for. The attitudes on these workers cannot possibly be worse. Today when I was ordering the toppings on my pizza I asked for pepperonis. The employee, who is a 17-19 year old male, looked back at me and said "I'll pepperoni your pizza" in a sort of gay manner. He repeated this for every other topping I ordered saying "I'll (blank) your pizza" every time. When I was done with my order at least 3 different employees asked me if that was all. When it was time to pay, a blonde girl who looks like the grinch wrung me up and I've never pressed no tip on a iPad faster. Great pizza. I loved their sauces - I got the bbq swirl and pesto drizzle and both tasted fantastic. Their crust was great too. It tasted like a naan made in a tandoor (clay oven) and was just the right amount of softness to crisp ratio. I also loved the fact that you can add any number of topics you want without the price changing - I had a lot of fun customizing my pizza. The flavor of the sauces can overpower the flavor of the toppings though, especially if you make your pizza vegetarian. So I'll likely be more careful about which ones I choose next time to get a better pairing. The other thing is that they didn't add enough base sauce or cheese to the pizza. This is the second time I ordered from here so I don't think that's a coincidence. Either way, it's a good pizza Id you want something a bit fancier and healthier in the area. The MOD Pizza parlor in Dawsonville Georgia was a lot of fun. The line for ordering moved very quickly, and the prep people were very kind and efficient. As I walked down the counter following my pizza as it was being made, I asked for a little more sauce and a little more cheese and they were happy to oblige. The Mad Dog Pizza was very good and there was enough to share between two people (I shared it with my mother-in-law). So if you are a hungry person, it should feed you just fine. The only problem we had while we were there was that it was very cold inside. It is a large space, so I'm sure it's pretty hard to heat. We never took off our jackets. read more

They have some suggested pizzas or salads with toppings or you can make your own. You tell them what you want from red sauce, pesto, you want some garlic, mozzarella or say ricotta. You can get chicken and sausage or even pepperoni. Want veggies in your pizza they have that too. So you pretty much are going to get what you want and if you don't like it it might be you what you put in it. They also have salads and a no name cake that is like eating a fresh ding dong if you know what those are and sometimes they have seasonal flavors. The real reason I'm writing a review is because I am truly impressed how they handled an allergy issue. My 3 year old has a severe egg allergy. I placed an online order and in the comments mentioned the egg allergy and check cross contamination. I thought nothing of it after that point until after he finished eating and I put the leftovers in the fridge. That's when I saw the note on the paper under the pizza (picture attached). My wife had a " Make your own", which is basically almost anything you want on it. Good generous portions of the items you pick. The price was the same for rack of our pizza's. I'm Italian so I'm quite a pizza critic. As far as flavor there are some very good Italian pizzas in the Atlanta area. However in this area this is one of the best pizza places I've ever had. Pretty good fast food pizza. Same concept as Your Pie but with a much smaller selection of menu items. I got a bbq chicken pizza and it was really good. I found the pizza was appropriately priced but 2.50$ for a tiny desert was a little much. The no name cake is basically a more expensive Swiss roll or Ding Dong, very good nonetheless. Extremely rude teenage staff and seemed to only be collecting a paycheck. Not having lids for cups is just one example of poor supply chain management. the young blonde haired female taking our order to the potential stoner I said excuse me to 5 times to get his attention to ask for cup lids was a bit much. The food was not bad; however, my kids would not eat the burnt pieces. Seriously, I would not return to the establishment based on the staffing, mentioned earlier my special needs son had an accident with his cup and not one employee even looked our direction for assistance. It was not like we tried to keep it hidden going to the napkin station 7 times. If I was a manger or the owner I would evaluate any future hiring practices. Waited 10 minutes and was then told my order was never made. 3 minutes later was told the pizza was "found". I should've checked because I got home and the pizza was wrong. After we bought a place in Dawsonville, this is the first place we ordered out for supper. We ordered several different pizzas which were delivered by GrubHub. This is all due to the current coronavirus situation. The pizzas were delivered on time. They weren't the best pizzas in the world, but they were good. Good enough. My favorite, oddly enough, was the buffalo chicken pizza. It's not something I would normally order, but it was really nicely done. In fact, when I ordered again, that's the one I got. As a first time visitor I was a bit skeptical, at first glance the aesthetic is very appealing. The menu seems very diverse, even though they have a pizza named the Dominic and they spell Domenic incorrectly. All that being said the pizza was excellent. It was absolutely cooked perfectly with a thin crispy crust. I found it to be very refreshing that you can add whatever items you want on the pizza at no additional charge. I also really enjoyed the speed in which the pizzas are produced. This is always an indication that the heat inside the pizza oven is that a proper temperature right around 900°. The pizza is self only took maybe 10 minutes from preparation to the service. I think it will take at least three or four visits to get a true gauge on the consistency of this place but I must say it does show tremendous potential. I've had MOD in three states over 2-3 dozen times and this was by far the worst experience. It started off when we were trying to order and there was a gaggle if 4 employees directly behind the employee trying to take our order talking loudly about nothing. The music was loud and so we were screaming our order at her and she still couldn't understand us. It didn't help that she clearly has not gone through whatever the corporate training there is on how to take orders. We were trying to tell her that we were building our own three pizzas and she kept asking us what all we wanted for our toppings and kept messing up which pizza it was supposed to go on. When we finally did get down the line my favorite topping, the roasted garlic was raw. Not roasted, not in oil, just straight off the clove. So, we go up to pay and get drinks from the cooler and they were all hot. Not even warm, hot.
