My wife and I have been getting desserts from Mochimas for a while now and every single time it has been an absolute blessing. Jennifer and Sebastian are the sweetest couple ever. They are kind, generous, and always full of joy. We see them almost every Sunday at the Tustin Marketplace and they always greet us with the biggest smiles and such good energy. You do not run into many people like them, and honestly, it just makes the whole experience that much better. You can tell they care about their craft and their customers in a real way. Now onto the food. I do not even know where to start. They are constantly creating new desserts and upgrading their menu and I swear we have never had a single bad bite. Every single thing we have tried has been next level. The coconut mochi bar, strawberry tarts, ube muffin with ube cream, sesame bar, matcha cake, Earl grey tart, and bar, all of it has been phenomenal. Everything has such a clean and bold flavor without being overly sweet or too heavy. The texture and balance of every dessert are just on point. You can tell they have mastered what they do. What makes it even better is that everything is gluten-free, made with healthier ingredients, and sourced from local farms and businesses across the US including Hawaii. That alone is worth supporting, but the fact that the quality is better than most overpriced bakery desserts out there makes this place a no-brainer. It is wild how good their stuff is for how fair the prices are. They have even let us try some of their up-and-coming seasonal flavors, and we are already counting down the days till their pumpkin goodies come back. It is the kind of place where you want to bring your friends, your family, your coworkers, whoever because you just know they are going to love it. And we have, we have brought so many people to them and every single one of them has gone back for more. At the end of the day, Mochimas is that spot. If you are not going, you are seriously missing out. Everything they make is done with so much love and effort and it shows. Jennifer and Sebastian are the real deal, and their desserts are honestly some of the best we have ever had. If you do not love it, you are the problem hahaha.

Surpassed expectations. I picked up a box for a friend who's been wanting to try Mochimas for several months now. I got the regular mochi tart, matcha mochi tart, cinnamon mochi banana bread, and black sesame mochi blondie. Looking at their Instagram posts, we figured the mochi tarts would be really good. I laughed when I took my first bite - the regular mochi tart was BETTER than "really good". The matcha mochi tart was subtle (in a good way) and well-balanced. I'm not fond of matcha desserts that are too strong or ones that use overly bitter powder. The cinnamon mochi banana bread is a great spin on a classic and is also well-balanced in flavor. The black sesame is very earthy and nutty, which was such a contrast to everything else we got. It's NOT a "diluted" taste, which makes this great for anyone who actually likes black sesame. Everything was delicious, and I'm glad we got to try them.

5 Stars for AMAZING DESSERTS. I recently saw this shop at an outdoor event - Downtown Anaheim Sweets Festival and immediately fell in love with their Mochi Desserts. Specifically, the Mochi Tarts and Brown Butter Mochi Bites. They are absolutely delicious and a must-try! The Brown Butter Mochi Bites remind me of a combination of Mochi & Cassava taste and texture. It's light, great little bites and I love the texture and taste. But my favorite, the Mochi Tarts are ssssoooooo good! They taste delicious the same day and even a couple of days later. The tart has the Mochi texture at the bottom with a custard like texture on top. It's addicting! So addicting that I came back to the festival and bought more for my family to try. Great communication when I was placing my catering order. Very responsive and fine in a timely manner. Much appreciated. I am a huge fan of their Mochi Tarts and want to buy more for my family and friends to try, I know my aunties will love them. Thank you Mochimas for the delicious goodies!

Over the weekend, I went to a Lunar New Year Fest up in NoHo and Mochimas was there. Not gonna lie, they had the biggest line of all the vendors and that's what drew me in. The dark chocolate mochi brownie is divine! Indulgent and great flavor with a nice presentation to boot. Really nice consistency thanks to the mochi and loved this indulgent treat. Vegan Black Sesame Mochi Blondie ($5.50) wasn't what I expected but I really enjoyed it. These two items were total hits. I wasn't into the Mochi Tarts. This is their signature item but it was just too~ coconut aftertaste vibes for me. Though I didn't love everything, what I did like was excellent! I highly recommend their mochi brownie and blondies. So unique and delish!

We came to the Tustin farmers market today to pick up some of these mochi treats! Got the ube, strawberry, brown mochi bites, and black sesame. Delicious! Can't wait to go to Hawaii with the kids to try more mochi desserts!

    Caviar Mochi Tart

Incredible mochi pastries that I can't get enough of - have brought them for many of my friends to try and it's always been met with equally glowing praise! Some of the most unique and consistently delicious sweet treats in the area.

I love Mochimas' pastries so much! I had been wanting to try the mochi tarts for a while and finally got the chance to last week and I got so addicted! I ended up getting some more and trying a wider variety of their pastries and they did not disappoint! Jennifer is also so nice and considerate, so I will definitely be purchasing more pastries in the future.

Vegan coconut mochi blondie is a delightful dessert that combines the soft and chewy texture of mochi with a tropical flavor of coconut.

Mochimas is truly unique. Hand crafted desserts with the finest ingredients created with an artisan's eye for detail and the creativity to bring wonderful flavors together. Seek them out at farmers markets and special events.

    Ask the Community - Mochimas

Is there a good way to store the goods/can they be kept a couple days out of fridge?

Are you still at the Tustin Farmers Market on Sundays?

Yes, we are! The farmers market is on Sundays from 9am - 1pm (unless noted on Instagram). Located on 2411 Park Ave, Tustin. Hope to see you there!

Where the hell is this place?

Hi, we do not have a storefront since our small business operates as a pop-up throughout LA and OC, hence, no physical address listed on Yelp. You can also find us at The District Farmers Market in Tustin every Sunday.

Tiramisu and milk cakes aren't typically my first choice, but they looked delicious in the display case that I decided to give it a shot. We ordered the Tiramisu Milk Cake and the Saffron Milk Cake, along with a couple of Rose lattes, and they completely exceeded my expectations. Light, creamy, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. Not overly sweet, not soggy or swimming in espresso...just incredibly fresh. It's one of the best I've had in a long time. Their cakes definitely set the bar high. The milk they use always tastes fresh, like 'farm fresh' fresh. Every time we come here, we always get slices of their delicious honey cake which has the perfect level of subtle sweetness that I prefer. I'm not big on sweet stuff. I'd even say it has more milk or cream than coffee. It had a potent infusion of something like vanilla or cardamom that I liked, but I wouldn't get it again. Baklava ($6.50): 5/5. The best item I got from Vanilla Street Bakery. Decently sweet with a lovely balance of nuts, dough layers, and infused syrup. I appreciated that it wasn't dripping in a sugary solution; it's definitely more balanced than other baklava I've had. Chocolate Chip Cookie ($5.20): 2/5. A very pillowy, cakey cookie, yet dry and crumbly. The flaky salt on top was a nice touch, but its overall taste and texture didn't deliver a satisfying chocolate chip cookie. Spinach-feta roll ($6.90): 2/5. Staff kindly warmed this up for me without asking, and it looked nice and savory. However, it was extremely dry, doughy, and bland, with hardly any feta. Too bland to enjoy for $7. Eclair ($7.50): 3/5. Chocolate topping and custard filling were good, but the dough was quite dry. Pricey, too! Staff were patient and knowledgeable. Interior has a quaint, cutesy look to it, with different types of seating available. I saw people catching up with friends, reading, or working, so it has a relaxing atmosphere for whatever you feel like doing. In short: most of the pastries unfortunately were very expensive and not worth the cost based on how dry and/or bland they were. Additionally, the highly anticipated Raf Coffee seemed interesting but ended up being too creamy for a coffee drink.
