I haven't been to a gun range in a while and was happy a friend asked me to tag along with them…read more The person I came with has a membership, so i didn't have to pay to shoot this day. I had already brought my own ear protection and settled on buying a new pair of protective glasses. After I initially went into the range, a guy was shooting a really loud gun, and I went to ask if they had ear plugs. Apparently, they charge for this, but one of the gentlemen was nice enough to give me a pair in his personal stash for free. The staff here is really friendly. Jeff was also a nice guy who supervised customers in the actual range shooting. He shared stories and showed us pictures of some of his guns in his collection. Overall, this place is nice and the staff is professional. Until next time...

I have always felt appreciated and respected as a curious visitor and now as a member. Diego F. is a fantastic instructor and I cannot recommend his CCW class highly-enough. He brings the perfect combination of easy-going and sobriety to the training, and his energy and sense of humor makes the legal boilerplate interest and I daresay entertaining. Even for those not seeking a permit or who don't plan to regularly carry, this class will prepare you to think rationally and intentionally about firearm safety and how to behave in critical situations involving them. This location is easily my top recommendation in the St Louis area for firearm purchases, practice and training.

As a 21-year-old making my first legal firearm purchase, my experience at Metro Shooting Supplies…read moreon St. Charles Rock Rd in Bridgeton, MO was extremely disappointing and concerning. After selecting the firearm I wanted, I provided my ID and was instructed to pay the full purchase price ($800) before the background check paperwork was completed. While filling out the background check application, they had already taken my payment. Only after my money was taken did they say that the address on my ID did not match the address I listed on the application. I explained that the address on my license was old and that the application reflected my current address. They told me I needed proof of address. I then drove about 20 miles back home and returned to the store with a check stub showing my address. When I returned, I was told that it would not be accepted. At that point I asked for my money back since I never received the firearm and the transaction could not be completed. The founder, Steve King, and the general manager, James Tomlinson, told me that they charge a 25% restocking/cancellation fee. This made no sense to me because I never received the firearm and did not cancel anything--the purchase simply could not proceed. I was then told that I could not receive my $800 cash back, and that I would have to wait for a check in the mail with 25% deducted from my money. My question is simple: why was my payment taken before verifying that my identification and address met the requirements to complete the purchase? For a first-time buyer trying to follow the law, this experience felt extremely unfair. I paid for a product I never received and was told I would lose a large portion of my money anyway. I hope the owners review this situation and make it right. Until then, I would strongly advise other customers to make absolutely sure all documentation is verified before paying, because in my case $800 was taken before basic verification was completed.

He told us the price of a sight we liked and my buddy said alright I'm going to buy it online. The man then demanded $20 as a "gun smithing fee". Nothing was mentioned before about any charge to touch my buddy's rifle. When we refused and said we can make this a legal matter 3 of them started getting agitated and demanded we leave the store and followed us out with their pistols. DO NOT shop here unless you want to be panhandled by the employees!!!

DO NOT...I repeat...DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!! I ordered a gun…read morethrough Davidson's Gallery Of Guns/Gun Genie and had it shipped to K.O. When I picked up the gun, they charged me $35 above the "Total Cost" listed on the Gun Genie website. The website "Total Cost" INCLUDED a "FEE" of $29.99 (which is above the "Taxes" listed). I have ordered 5 guns through Davidson's in the past and, in all cases, I paid the exact amount listed as "Total Cost". Well, NOT IN THIS TRANSACTION! I called K.O., spoke with "John" and mentioned the $35 discrepency and also told him he had written "Owes $267.16" on the end of the box. His employee said I owed $302.16 and I questioed her. She said it was "an additional Fee" and I said "a Fee was already included in the Gun Genie listing". I called Davidson's and they said they would call K.O. and discuss the discrepency. I called John later to see when I would get that extra $35 Fee back and he said "No Way! That's how I make my living. I called Davidson's back and they stated that I was correct and should NOT have been charged that extra $35. They are cutting me a check for that amount and also informed me that Kirkwood Outfitters has been removed from Davidson's Gun Genie account as a participant.
